Chapter 7

Jason left the room leaving the two of them alone, Mary followed him with her eyes at every movement, no matter how small. He knew she wouldn't try to leave the farm as it was night and the creatures raged in the darkness, she was a prisoner even though no door was locked.

Mary - Come my little angel, forgive me for leaving you alone for so long. I know what it's like to feel abandoned and alone in this world... I won't let you feel that again!

She took him in her arms and hugged him tightly.

He went to the bathroom and found everything clean, there was soap and other hygiene items, he bathed and showered, but he still wore his inseparable cape... he didn't want to provoke that host even more and they went down to the living room, he heard Jason moving the pans in the kitchen she looked and on the sofa was her bag, with that she understood that he intended them to stay there.

Mary sat with Victor Davy on that sofa he was sucking his thumb he was hungry too, she didn't know what to think and what to expect from that situation but one thing she was sure Jason was going to want was what all men want sooner or later. They had to get out of there no later than dawn, she needed to stay unharmed that night and tears of terror were streaming from her eyes.

A few minutes later.

Jason - Come, dinner is ready.

Jason stared at her for a moment from the kitchen door.

Mary was desperate with hunger and weak, she carried the boy on her lap who wouldn't let go of her. She pulled out a wooden chair and sat with wide eyes, listening to Jason's every move. He puts a nice bowl of soup that smelled amazing in that kitchen and puts it in front of her and the little boy.

Victor Davy was so hungry he almost reached into the steaming hot soup bowl, but Mary caught him just in time.

Mary - Stay calm, let me blow first.

She pushed the plate away, took a spoonful, and blew, then took the boy's mouth. Jason knew that she was as hungry or more hungry than the child, but he thought it noble that she fed him first. He knew that Mary was not the boy's mother because he was black and completely different from her.

She gave him the soup and only then did Mary finally eat it, spoonful after spoonful. Jason sat down and ate too, looking at her was stuck to her face, especially those green eyes. She felt embarrassed and intimidated by his eyes always there the time on her.

"I was torn between thanking God for having food and asking him to protect me while I was there."

Mary finishes eating and gets up. The boy was already sleepy, it was late at night.

Mary - Can I lay him down on the couch? It's just that he's very tired!

Jason was paralyzed, the sound of her voice was so sweet and he had no one to talk to and no one to answer a question. He just stared at her lips.

Mary - You still haven't told me your name... can I lay Victor Davy on your couch?

Jason - You're right, we didn't introduce ourselves. My name is Jason and you?

He stands up and greets him with a handshake, that simple touch makes him excited.

Mary - Mary...

"Mary sure would be capable of causing a war, so beautiful...how come they didn't find her before me and sexually enslave her if they do that to everyone out there? She's too beautiful to be free in this world...God, what am I thinking?"

Jason - And as for the boy, you can lay him down there in the room next to mine and I'm sorry for hitting you I couldn't imagine!

Mary - Don't worry and thank you, Jason!

Mary leaves with the boy in her arms and he watches her leave mesmerized by her beauty. For Jason it was strange to have someone else at home, sometimes he would talk to himself and even think aloud and suddenly have two more people there...everything was new to him and before she left.

Jason - Wait...put him to sleep, and come back, we need to talk.

Mary - Right!

She froze and swallowed in fear.

"Why did I allow this to happen to me? All my life I saved my purity for someone special and now this man will want to touch me, the way he looks at me leaves no doubt that this is what he wants and God knows how it's going to be ."

She entered the room she sang to the boy who soon fell asleep, she didn't want to leave the room she was afraid of that man, but she couldn't hide in the same house as him, she finally decided to leave. She walked slowly to where he was, trying to hide all the dread of the situation inside her.
