CHAPTER 8

Kendra's POV

"Are you okay?" Kyle asked

"Yes, I'm fine" I said as I stared into his big beautiful ocean blue eyes.

"You get into a lot of trouble you know, the first you were crying in the hallway, second you fainted in the dining room and now? And you Just got here yesterday" goddest face who is Kyle told me.

"I'm sorry, I just didn't want to feel helpless when he ordered me not to touch Vaira I'm sorry"

"Its okay but its just that Payne is really a pain in the ass and he's not the type to joke around with, one little thing and the nuts to his brain go off." Kyle said and that made me chuckle a little

Then he stared at me for like a second or two before he fully introduced himself.

Kyle's POV

Miss nerd seemed really nice I stared at her then I said

"I'm Kyle"

"Hi Kyle, I'm Kendra" she said in her low voice

"Nice name, I like it."

"Thanks, yours too" she replied

"Listen, if you like... Need any help with anything, be sure to holler at me"

"Uhm...uh...yeah...sure." She stuttered at her words

"Okay then, see you later"

"Yes, Mr goddest face"

Wait, what did she call me?

"I'm sorry uh...Mr what?" I asked her in a suspicious tone.

"Nah don't worry, just a slip of tongue, I guess" she told me. Huh? How does Kyle rhyme with Mr goddest face?

I chuckled a bit at her tone as she said that, then I gave her a bright smile before leaving for my next class which is chemistry class

"Uh hey! I'm sorry to ask but what subject is your last class?" Kendra asked interrupting me from my thoughts.

"Chemistry, why?"

"Uhm... mine is chemistry too".

"Okay, then you can come with me"

"Really?" She asked sounding excited

"Yeah, sure you can"

"Thank you, now I have two friends."

Did she just say two? But how can a geek make two friends in just a day plus?

"Who else is your friend?" I asked curious to know

"Its Kendra Daszle" she answered

"Really? The mean girl weirdo?"

"Yeah you just answered your question, she's a weirdo, that's why she's friends with a dork like me".

"Yeah but I didn't call you a dork"

"Its okay, I already know I am one".

"let's just go or we'll get detention".

Kendra's POV

We got to the chemistry class and everyone looked at us again, shit fuck it, guess what we're late

"Miss Tiara and Mr Kentile you both have got detention waiting for you at my office" Mr Wexler the harsh, rude Godforsaken teacher said

"You were right" I said to Kyle and he just simply shrugged it off like it was a normal thing for him and the chemistry teacher.

Later...

While Wexler the teacher taught, I was worried about getting detained for an hour with punishment, that's gonna take the whole free period! I was cut off my thought when I felt a hand on my lower arm I looked up it was Kyle

"Let it go, don't let it bother you it'll be fine and its just some calculations we'll do not some kind of punishment". He assured me.

"Okay" I mouthed

I was lost in my thoughts again then I was shaken by Kendra

"Hey babe d'you hear what the teacher said?"

"No I was lost in the thoughtworld what'd he say?" I replied her

"You and Kyle should go with him"

"Okay thanks, see ya at dinner then"

"Why at dinner?" She asked me

"Because he'll take the whole free period"

''Ohhh, kay see ya at dinner and if Payne tries rubbish with you I promise I'll do what I said I would cause I saw what happened today it wasn't nice but you stood up to him by insulting him, and that was gooood. So bye and stay at detention!"

I laughed and at her last comment as I left for Mr Wexler's detention

Wait that was the first time I laughed in two days. Yay.

During detention

"Hey Kyle", I said as I caught up the pace Kyle and Wexler had left

"Hey, told you it'll be math calculations not a big punishment like cleaning the lunch room that some food fight occurred".

"Okay, let's see if its really some calculations" I said as we reached Wexler's class

"You both may have your seats" Wexler said

"Now you both should solve that equation over there..." he pointed to a chalk board to his left "...using Pythagorean theorem and SOHCAHTOA. Also solve this other one using any correct formula of your choice, just make sure you give me the correct answers. Your punishment continues tomorrow if you can't finish today" I looked at the loooong equation, it looked pretty difficult.

"Oh my God sir, we are not math calculating machines" I said with all the respect that I could gather

"That's why there's a tomorrow!"

"Sir b..." I was cut off by Wexler raising a finger for me to shut up

"And oh... Start up your numbers from two." Wexler said again

Thirty minutes later.

"You'll see I'll be done before you even think of starting it might even take you three weeks to finish that" kyle said to me

"Alright we shall see" I said feeling confident in myself

"I'm done sir" Kyle said and turned to face me, that was now open-mouthed in awe staring

Five seconds later

"I'm done sir'' I said with a smirk on my face that would be said as 'ha I did it too'.

"Wow miss Tiara and Mr Kentile you both did very well in your test and you didn't even take up to...um...an hour? You both solved it in uh...30minutes, 5seconds. Wow that is amazing I thought you would use the entire free period but now I see that you deserve it and Kendra you are now my second best student."

"Thank you sir, but who is the first?"

"Mr Kentile Kyle is the first, he just broke the record of a two week math in exactly thirty minutes and you broke it in thirty minutes five seconds which means its only a five second difference."

Kyle looked proud of himself and wiklnked at me meaning 'yeah I still passed you'. But I said

"Sorry but its just a five second difference". Looking and giving him a huge smirk. He just smiled and shook his head in laughter.
