Chapter 3

It's been two hours since he left her condo unit, but she couldn't forget what happened to them. She could still remember his kisses on her lips. She tried to forget it, but she can't. When the next day comes, she could still remember it. She could still remember his kisses on her lips. She found her finger touching her lips as she remembers what happened last night.

"What's happening to me? Why it's still on my mind?!" Nina mumbled as she enters the washroom. She's going to take a shower as she believes that it'll help her to forget it. But, it didn't happen. She could still remember it no matter what happens. His kisses didn't leave her mind. Whether she likes it or not, she tasted already his lips. Nina is a lucky woman for tasting it.

She went to her best friend Mia, but she didn't tell her that he kissed her lips last night. She doesn't want to talk about it. They talked about their wedding next month.

"The days are approaching, Nina. We still have four days before this month ends, right? Two weeks later, you'll exchange vows. You'll be a wife," Mia said.

Nina sighed bitterly. "I know that," she said weakly. "All I have to do is to wait for that day. I couldn't wait to avenge the death of my beloved father, Mia. I'll make sure that all of them should pay for it." Nina took a sip of a wine as she answered her best friend.

"Yes, they'll pay for it, Nina. But I just want to ask you about—''

"About what?" Nina said, raising her eyebrows. Mia sighed deeply.

"You'll marry each other, right?" She said.

Nina nods. "Yes, and then what?''

"Are you going to have sex with him, huh?" Mia asked her. Nina chuckled loudly.

"Why are you asking me that question?!" She protested. "Is that necessary to answer, huh?"

"It depends on you, Nina. If you'll answer it, better. But if not, there's no problem. I asked you that question because I want to know if you're going to have sex with him. You'll marry each other. Married couples are expected to have sex and have a child, right? You know that, Nina. Are you going to have sex with him after the wedding takes place next month, huh?" Mia explained to her best friend Nina. "After that wedding, you'll have your honeymoon together. You'll have time for each other."

Nina winced bitterly as she heard it from her best friend. Minutes had passed before she opens her mouth to speak to her. She doesn't want to answer it, but her best friend is waiting for her reply. It's rude for her not to answer it. Mia is her best friend, she considered her as her sister and she doesn't want to keep any secrets to her. Her respect for her best friend is extremely higher than her respect for herself.

"I don't want to answer your question, but I have a higher respect for you as my best friend who I considered as my own sister, so I should answer it, honestly," she said as she looked at her best friend's eyes. Mia shook her head and smiled at her.

"I have a higher respect for you, too," Mia said, smiling widely. "I want to hear your answer about it."

"You asked me if I'm going to have sex with him after we exchange vows next month. You want to hear it from me. Yes, I'm going to have sex with him. It's part of marriage, but I won't let him impregnate me, Mia. I won't resist him if he wants it, I'll make sure that he won't resist me if I want something. I want to control him, Mia. And I think that's the only way to have it. I'll give him what he wants because at the end he couldn't resist the things I want. I have to use my mind how to defeat my enemies without using weapons. Men can't resist pleasure, right? He can't resist me, too," Nina explained to her best friend.

Mia clapped her hands as she finished her explanations. She was amazed at the way her best friend thinks her plans.

"I like your idea. It's brilliant," Mia said.

"Thank you, Mia. In this game, we should always use our mind. We shouldn't use our hearts because it'll lead us into defeat," Nina said.

"I absolutely agree with you, Nina," she said. "Good luck to you. I have no other wishes for you, but to make your plans successful in the end."

Two days before their wedding, Nina visited the tomb of her beloved parents and tells her plan, especially to her beloved father. She promised her beloved father that the justice will be served before the year ends. It'll happen and no one can stop her. Those people behind his death should be punished forever. She's in tears when she speaks to her beloved parents. She missed them so much, but her tears couldn't bring back them to life.

Nina went to the house of her best friend after she visited her parents' tomb. She spent her day with her best friend before she goes back to her condo unit where she lives. She started to pack up her clothes and other stuffs because she would transfer to his own house after that wedding. She needs to leave the place where she lives for almost three years.

"You'll be his wife tomorrow," Mia said as she visits her. She shook her head slowly and sighed heavily.

"I know that. He'll be my husband starting tomorrow. The people would know that we're married," Nina said. "But they didn't know that we're not loving each other. There's no affection between us."

Nina woke up early the next day. It's the day of their wedding. She quickly took a bath and eat her breakfast. The make-up artists and other people who would help her prepare herself for that wedding have arrived. The wedding is at nine o'clock in the morning. She wasn't excited for that wedding, but she's nervous as she approached the church. A lot of people attended the wedding ceremony. Most of them are Luke's family members and their business partners. The wedding happens and it ends up successful that day.

"Good morning!" Luke, her husband greets her as they woke up early the next morning. It's their first day as newly weds. They slept in the same room last night, but they didn't have sex. Luke brought his wife to his own house. He bought the house five months ago. Nina's clothes and other stuffs was brought there already.

"Good morning too," Nina said with no emotions on her face. She quickly rose up to their bed and went to the bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth. Luke watched her enters the bathroom and sighed deeply as she closed the door.

As she comes out of the bathroom, her husband wasn't there anymore. She doesn't even know where he was. Maybe he went downstairs. Minutes later, she went downstairs. She felt her stomach churning. She went straight to the kitchen and saw her husband cooking their breakfast. There were no housemaids to prepare it, so they need to use their own hands. Nina paused and watched him cooks their food as he sings a song. She realized that he has a good voice and he has the chance to win a singing contest if he would participate. She felt envy to him because he knows how to sing. She's about to hide when her husband caught her watching him.

"Hey! Come here, Nina. Don't be shy to me, please. I'm preparing for our breakfast. I'm sorry I didn't tell you when I went here downstairs. You're still in the bathroom," Luke said.

Nina took a very deep breath and walked closer to him. She sits on the wooden chair and watched him preparing for their breakfast. "Do you want me to help you?" She asked him slowly.

Luke faced her quickly and gave her a quick smile. "You don't need to help me. I can do it alone. All you have to do is to wait for me to finish preparing our breakfast. Is that okay with you?" Luke told his wife.

Nina nodded. "Okay. I'm starving..."

"You have to wait for a few minutes and I'll be finished cooking food for our breakfast. Just a little bit patience, please," he said. Nina rolled her eyes and didn't say anything to him. She looked away and wait for him to finish cooking food for their breakfast.

No one speaks as they eat their breakfast. Luke breaks the silence as he finished eating his own food. "We'll be leaving tomorrow morning for our honeymoon," he reminded his wife. "Have you forgotten about our honeymoon, huh?"

Nina winced bitterly. "Of course not. Why would I forget it? I'm ready for that. You don't have to worry."

Luke shook his head and speaks, "Very good. I thought you hadn't remembered it.' I'm sorry for it."
