Chapter 7

Today is the day Blue is moving to live in his new home with his soon to be husband after today the wedding will take place in two days. He is nervous and happy at the same time.

Once Mr Robert had left Blues home that day his parents had sat with him and talked about the arrangement that was going to take place. During the conversation, Blues mum had phoned his brother Daniel informing him about the details from the moment Robert Winters came till the moment he left.

The next day Daniel came with his fiancée Sandra to visit demanding that Blues parents tell him again why they agreed on the arrangements.

“Mum Dad, don’t you know who Ace Winters is? He is an irresponsible person, always doing things as he pleases. What's more, he is currently dating a well-known model Britney Sanders.”

“How can you just sign Blues life into someone as reckless as Ace Winters.”

“I understand how you feel Daniel, But I think this will be a good chance for Blue to start being independent. Blue is entering adulthood. I think we should all support him and see it in a positive way.” Said Mr Smith calmly

“But dad, this is Ace Winters we are talking about, what if..”

“I want to try,” said Blue, cutting Daniel off before he was able to finish what he was saying.

“Blue do you know what you are saying, this is your future we are talking about.”

“It's precisely my future that I want to do it, besides I know Mr Robert will not let anything happen to me and if something does happen it will be entirely on me no one else.”

It took a long time convincing Daniel that everything would be alright did he finally agree with everything. He left with Sandra (who sat quietly trying to calm down her fiancé) promising to see Blue and their parents again at the wedding.

But not without threatening Blue that he had to call him first if anything was to happen or if there was anything that made Blue upset.

It is now noon, any minute now Mr Robert will arrive to pick him up just as the thought crosses his mind a loud, crisp knock came from the front door.

Mr Smith opens the door for Robert Winters, who walks in with his driver hovering closely behind.

“Hello, Mr Robert, please make yourself comfortable.”

“Ahh please call me Robert we are going to be a family from now on.”

Blue, who was in his room, had heard his dad and Mr Robert speaking, not wanting them to wait. Blue put the last piece of his favourite things into the duffle bag, before making his way downstairs.

As soon as he entered he greeted Mr Robert who smiled and got up from where he was sitting to stand in front of Blue,

“Blue my boy, are you all ready? If you are, we can we on our way, please give the driver your bag. He will take it along with your luggage and put it in the car.”

Blue gave his bag to the waiting hands of the driver before turning his attention to his parents. He hugged them both fiercely before Mrs Smith.

“We will see you at the reception honey until then don’t be afraid it will be alright.”

With a nod of his head, Blue released his parents before following Mr Robert out the door but not after giving a backward glance towards his parents, who had also followed them waving their goodbyes from the front porch.
