CHAPTER 6

Having entered the palace, Isabella was still trying to adjust, her life had turned upside down in a blink of a eye. from the pampered child she was to being a maid was something she had never imagined in her life. and the fact that her aunt had turned her back on her and showed her her true colors came as a big surprise to her. she had never imagined life could be this cruel to her. and now since she was left all alone in this cruel world, she had to stand on her two feet and be strong else she wouldn't survive. in the palace she was still trying to figure out everything. she was used to being served but now it was her turn to serve the others. Isabella glanced at the dignified palace, and a nervous chill shot through her spine. she wondered if she would do a good job of serving the royal family. as they were being taken around the palace they couldn't help but open their jaws in amusement. to the newcomers, the palace was imposing and the royal family enjoyed seeing their faces. they were taken to greet the royal family in the throne room. there the girls got a chance of seeing the king, his queen, the princes and the two princes that all the girls couldn't wait to see. the bowed in respect said their greetings. the king raised his hand in acknowledgment of their greetings. ''welcome to the palace. hope you find the palace comfortable as you perform your duties.'' the queen said. ''thank you your highness.'' the girls said in response as their heads were still bowed. looking in the face of the king was not allowed so the girls had their heads bowed and Isabella couldn't help her curiosity and she slowly shifter her head to look at the royal family and her eyes were met with the elder prince's gaze that was fixated on her. she quickly shifted her head and bowed. all along the elder prince had his gaze on her and she didn't know. the elder prince was known as cold hearted. ''what's with the cold gaze'' Isabella mummers. she could still feel the prince's gaze on her and she was beginning to get uncomfortable. after greeting the royal family, the girls went back to their assigned departments. ''girls did you see the princes'' one of the girls said once they reached in the maids hall. ''oh girl don't get me started. I couldn't help but take a look at those beautiful creatures.'' another girl said. ''how can a man be that beautiful.'' the third girl said. having seen the prince's face, Isabella couldn't help but nod her head in approval. the princes were very handsome. although the first prince was more way handsome than the younger prince. ''and the princess is also another one to die for.'' the first girl said and the other girls nodded in approval. ''as you get so excited, remember never to collide with prince Sebastian'' another maid who has been working in the palace said. ''you mean the older prince?'' Isabella asked. '' yes the older prince. that man is on his other level. he's very cold and I don't think any of you should ever collide with him.'' the maid said. ''why'' the second girl asked. ''because then you will regret why you came into this palace. 'another maid said as she entered the hall. ''is he all that cruel?'' the third girl asked. ''not cruel per se but brutal.'' the first maid said. when Isabella heard that, she recalled the cold gaze the prince gave her and she felt a cold chill ran down her spine.
