CHAPTER 2

Isabella work up from the faint voices in the room. her head felt heavy and she felt a sharp pain. she slowly opened her eyes and heard a faint voice besides her. ''mum she's awake'' a female voice was heard. Isabella slowly turned her head to face who was talking and saw Whitney her cousin sister who was leaning close to her to make notice of her body movements.

when Isabella fully opened her eyes, she noticed there were many people in the room where she was. she moved her eyes around trying to recognize the faces she was seeing around her. her auntie Martha came close to her pushing Whitney aside. '' Bella dear. can u recognize me? '' she asked

the doctors came in as she was still asking since her cousin brother Ethan had called them when she woke up. Martha moved aside as the doctor examined Bella. pointing out his three fingers the doctor asked her how many of them she was seeing. ''three'' she weakly said barely bringing out the words. ''what about me do you recognize me?'' her auntie asked again. ''auntie Martha'' Isabella whispered. up to now she was still wondering what she was doing in this strange place. ''where am I'' she asked . '' don't you remember. you are in the hospital due to an accident.'' Whitney pointed out.

''Whitney'' her mother Martha called her out harshly. ''what'' Whitney said rudely.

''please refrain from using a harsh tone or u'll scare the patient and that will hinder her recovery. since she might be still under the trauma of what happened you need to be careful with your words and actions.'' the doctor said to Martha and her children and then turned to the nurse who was standing besides him and gave her instructions of the drugs to give to the patient. seeing the doctor and the nurses with her auntie's family around, only then did the memories of the accident appear to her. ''dad, mum where is my mum, what about my dad. what happened to my parents'' Bella started sobbing as she was trying to get off the bed. ''Bella please stay still u'll hurt your self'' Martha said. with the little energy Bella had, she insisted on going to find her parents. her aunt Martha moved to the bed and held her in a embrace trying to calm her down. ''my parents where are my parents'' she sobbed endlessly. '' calm down dear. please calm down. first relax then ill take you to mummy and daddy.'' auntie Martha said. ''I am sorry dear. your parents never made it. by the time the paramedics reached the scene your parents were long gone.'' she said and continued. ''its only you who made it out.'' hearing those words, Isabella felt as if her heart was being pierced through many times with a sharp knife. she couldn't help it but cry her eyes out until she passed out again

moments later she gained consciousness again. this time it was her cousin brother Rohan , auntie Martha's eldest son who was around. he was seated in the couch in the corner of the private room she was in. when he saw that she was awake, he moved close to her. ''how are you feeling now Bella'' he asked. in the whole of auntie Martha's family, Rohan was the only one who loved Bella dearly. they when to the same school even thou he was two classes higher than her but at school he always protected her as his your sister because he was older than her. the boys at school would usually tease him saying he wanted to have his sister all to himself since he always protected her from the boys who had their eyes on her. even when he heard about the accident he was the only one who felt hurt the most. the thought of loosing his dear sister Bella was too much for him that's why he as all in the corner at a loss of words. '' Rohan my parents are.... '' Rohan cut her off with a hug when she tried to talk about her parents. ''am so sorry Bella. i wasn't there to protect you'' Rohan says as he slowly taps on her back. Isabella cries her eyes out. the thought of losing her parents drives her insane. by the time she's done with her crying Rohan's back is wet with her tears.

on the wheel chair, Isabella is taken to the mortuary to take a last look at her parents. Rohan holds her as she leans against him.. looking at her parents lifeless bodies, tears roll down her face. she slowly stretches her hand and touches, her mothers cheek. ''mum why are you so pale'' ''why are you guys do this to me?. what do you expect me to do without you.'' Rohan moves closer and holds her in an embrace.

on the burial day, Isabella is taken to the burial still in her wheel chair. tries to be strong not to cry because she has cried a lot for the previous days. after a few days of being hospitalized she is discharged and has to go back home. Rohan comes to take her back to her house where she lived with her parents. he helps her into the car and then takes off.

when they reached at the gate, it opens automatically as it senses the car. inside their mansion, she sees familiar faces and assumes these familiar figures are here to welcome and congratulate her from being discharged from the hospital. these familiar figures are auntie Martha and her husband with their two children Whitney and Ethan. its only Rohan who was missing since he had gone to the hospital to pick Bella up. ''ohh my dearest Bella. you are welcome home.'' auntie Martha says she leans in to give Bella a hug. ''thank you auntie'' Bella says trying sadly. ''welcome home Bella'' says Ethan and Whitney. auntie Martha's husband comes close to Bella and gives her a hug saying ''thank you child for being brave'' Martha's husband is a very kind and humble man unlike his wife. he too loved Bella like his own child since Bella's mother Mary was his first love and the woman he has hoped to marry. however Mary was in love with Antonio and got married to him. this had left a scar on his heart as he truly and still loved Mary even when she was married. the fact that he got married to Mary's elder sister Martha was a kind of accident as they mistakenly had a one night stand witch resulted into a pregnancy thus having Rohan. Rohan was three years older than Isabella because when Mary got married she spent three years trying to get pregnant. so when Isabella was born, her father changed the company name to her name ''Bella fashion company'' and even built a mansion in which him and his wife would bring up their child. and now that Isabella had lost her parents she thought of how she was to live all alone in this big mansion. but little did she know that bad was slowly turning to worst.
