"CHAPTER 5"
As Sir Fred said, Liam easily adapted to what he had to do as Sir Fred's new secretary. I turned over the iPad to him because there were copies of Sir Fred's important files.
I arranged my things on the table and put them in the same bag before I entered Sir Fred's office to formally say goodbye.
"Thank you so much, Sir Fred. Being your secretary was my first job after I graduated from college, and I can say that I had a wonderful experience in my first job because of your company and especially you as my boss."
"Well appreciated and you're always welcome, Faye. if you are grateful, I am even more grateful to you. In the years that you've been my secretary, my job in running the company became easier. You helped me well, Faye, that's why I'm very thankful to you."

at this time I will be drooling again, my countrymen. Because I was with Sir Clint again inside his car.
because he will take me to the apartment I'm staying at so he knows where to pick me up on the day I move into their new house with me.
There was only noise every time I showed him the right way to where I was staying. he was just driving quietly. He is rich in money, but he looks poor when it comes to words if he can speak it sparingly.
Along the road and nearby is the apartment I'm staying at from the company so it's not hard to find. when I arrived, I immediately got down and thanked Sir Clint before I closed the door of his car. I didn't bother to invite him in and offer him coffee. Because he doesn't move, it's still good to have coffee while chi-chika-chika. so let him take care of his life, just be careful on the flight.
When I got to the apartment, I just put my things in the room before I headed across the street to see Ate Nora, the landlady of the apartment.
I talked to Ate Nora that I was leaving the apartment. he was sad because his tenant would be reduced. He even asked why it was all of a sudden, to which I replied that I had a new job and didn't need to rent anymore.
In the end, Ate Nora thanked me and I thanked her the same. I am very grateful to Ate Nora because the apartment she owns has been my home for almost four years.
After I talked to Aling Nora, I went back to the apartment because I was going to call Mom to tell her that I was going to change jobs.
"Hello, Mom..."
"Oh, hello, kid. Did you get called?"
"Mom, it looks like I've been busy calling," said my voice sullenly to Mom on the other line.
"Hey, mom, you know that right away. Well, I'm just asking. Why were you called? is there a problem, kid?"
"Nothing."
"That's good. Oh, what exactly are you going to say why you were summoned?"
"What's the matter, Mom... I'm going to have a new job."
"Why? What happened to you being Mr. Villareal's secretary?"
"Nothing bad happened, Mom. That's right, I'll just do a different job."
"What job, son?"
"Take care of the children, Na--"
"Holy shit! Faye! I'm dying to work so you can finish college, not just to be a nanny. I'm putting you through college so you can get a good job!"
"CHAPTER 5" (CONTINUATION)
I pulled the cellphone away from my ear because of my mother's voice that was louder than the one on the microphone.
He's a Filipino, he's always been told since then to finish his studies to get a good job. very different from the Chinese who are still young children are imprinting entrepreneurship in their minds, so the Chinese are getting rich because of their strategy.
"Are you still there, Faye?" I heard my mother ask when I put the cellphone back to my ear.
"Yes, Mom."
"Oh, now explain to me why you ended up in such a job?"
"Let me explain first, Mom, huh? It's been a while since you didn't let me finish."
"Okay, I'll listen."
"I will take care of Sir Fred's grandchildren. and my new boss will be Sir Fred's eldest son. And that's it, Mom, we're just getting to the exciting part..."
"What's the exciting part you're talking about?"
Even though I can't see it, I know that Mom is frowning.
"My previous salary as Sir Fred's secretary will now be doubled in my new job."
"Really, son?"
"Oh, right, Mom? Your eyes got big."
"It's good that you accepted it right away."
"Gosh! It was just a while ago, if you underestimate what my job will be. It's just a nanny, ah! it's hard to take care of children."
"Because, son, I was just surprised. I also thought that you would have a hard time, especially if the people you take care of scolded. I was also a maid for a few years, so I don't want you to be like me."
"I can do it, Mom, there's no easy job, all you need is patience... One more thing, Mom. Besides the big investment I'll be making here, I won't be renting, I'll pay the electricity and water bills so big- I can send you the same sizeLet's continue, Mom, with fixing the house, adding more investment to your sari-sari store."
"I am very lucky to have you, my children, even though your father looked down on me. Thank you very much, my son."

the next day I bothered myself with packing my things because tomorrow is Sunday, Sir Clint will not be at the company so they will be moving to their new house with me.
When Sunday came I woke up early, if it was a normal day I would have slept until noon because I had no school. But now it's different, my job will be different. Sir Clint will pick me up now, so I must be ready so as not to embarrass him.
a few minutes passed since I finished cleaning myself when there was a knock on the door.
When I opened it, the person I was expecting now was standing outside. Sir Clint. He was wearing a plain white shirt and khaki shorts, his outfit was very simple but the strength of the former.
thank him because I rarely praise a man.
"Ready?"
Don't even really know how to say good morning.
"Yes, sir."
"Where are your things?"
I let him in and pointed to my things in the living room. a duffle bag and a suitcase that Sir Clint only carried so I could clearly see the flexing of his arm muscles.
Thank you and this Sir Clint also has a gentleman.
Sir Clint was already in the car carrying my things. so I only have my handbag with me.
First I went to Ate Nora's house to give the apartment key and I thanked her again.
When I got into Sir Clint's car and sat in the passenger seat, suddenly a Starbucks cup appeared in front of me. so I looked at the neighbor.
"Coffee?" Sir Clint offered
I reached for it. "Thank you, Sir."
I suddenly felt guilty that I didn't offer him coffee the day before when he brought me. Just take me back to the next life, Sir!
