"CHAPTER 2"
I'm still very sleepy the next day but I can't just lie down because someone is waiting for me at work.
I was five minutes late when I arrived at the company. It's a good thing that Sir Fred isn't here yet, it seems that my boss also stayed up. but it's okay for him to be late because he's the boss. That's the advantage of being an employer, when you're the boss you control the time so even if you're late it's okay. but it's also ugly if you're always late as a boss because how can you get your subordinates to follow if you yourself are breaking the rules and regulations? Better to be responsible.
After I put down the things I brought, I immediately crouched down on my table. less than a few minutes later, I heard the footsteps of shoes that were definitely coming from my boss, so I immediately became alert. I immediately took my iPad provided by the company. I opened it and immediately stood up to meet Sir Fred.
"Good morning, Sir!" I raised my voice so that it wasn't obvious that I was awake.
"Morning, Faye. What time is my appointment this morning?" he asked as he loosened his necktie.
"At 10 am with the Japanese investors, I made a reservation at a nearby Japanese restaurant... and I just remind you, Sir, that in the afternoon after lunch you will officially introduce Sir Clint to the entire company as a new COO. That's all, Sir Fred."
"Okay good, thank you, Faye."
I bowed slightly. "You're welcome, Sir."
Sir went straight inside his office and I went back to my table which was just outside Sir's office. I put the iPad on the table and then I went to the pantry area to make coffee for Sir and I will also make mine to get rid of my sleepiness.
when I came back from the pantry area I was holding a tray with two cups of coffee.
"Father Isko!" I called the Janitor who passed by my table.
"What is it, Faye?" he let go of the mop he was holding before approaching him.
"You can hold it first, Dad, and I'll just knock on the door of Sir's office."
"Alright, iha, it's mine."
I carefully moved the tray I was holding to Tay Isko's hands before knocking.
Three knocks before I heard from Sir, "Come in!"
I turned the door lock to open it and then I took the tray from Tay Isko. "Thank you, Dad."
When I got inside, I closed the door again with my foot.
I almost let go of what I was holding when I faced Sir's table when a pair of eyes met me, those eyes belonged to Sir Clint who was now sitting in the visitor's chair in front of Sir Fred's table, while Sir is sitting in his swivel chair busy withreading the paper he was holding."Good morning, Sir Clint." I immediately looked down and continued walking.
I don't know why Sir Clint can look like that, but it's good that now there is no emotion in his eyes compared to the scary look he had last night.
"Sir Fred, here's your coffee." I carefully placed a cup on top of Sir's table, Sir Fred nodded his thanks while still busy with work.
I was about to go straight out when Sir Clint stood up and stopped me.
"Is this for me?" he immediately took the coffee that was left on the tray even though I didn't answer if it was really for him.
"Ah, S-sir, kas--"
I stopped when he immediately put it to his lips to taste the coffee I brewed. Goofy! I already drank that.
"You knew I was coming here, huh?" he returned to where he was sitting earlier. "Dad, I like your secretary."
I swallowed my own saliva because of what I heard.
"She's very entertaining to your visitor. She even made me a cup of coffee. Black coffee, no cream, I'm perfect!"
Sir Fred's eldest son is also assumed. I didn't even offer it to him, he just took it. That's my coffee, eh! I actually brewed pure coffee to be brave and when my sleepiness completely disappeared.
Thank you and he is the son of the CEO and will be the COO of this company. if he's really just a guest, I won't give it to him because I brewed it for myself and I've already drunk it.
Speaking of, I've had a drink... and so has Sir Clint. Shut up! Indirect kiss with him?
"You got it, son. I also like her as my secretary. Faye is so professional when it comes to work."
My ears perked up because of Sir's praise. I politely bid them farewell. I went out smiling but also frowned when I was finally outside when I remembered my coffee. I'm going back to the pantry to make mine.
"CHAPTER 2" (CONTINUATION)
At five o'clock in the afternoon, I left to get ready to go home. Sir Fred came home earlier at four o'clock because there was an emergency at their house.
I was on the ground floor when I was stopped from walking by a familiar voice.
"Wait up!"
I faced my pursuer. "Why, Sir Clint?"
I thought he went with Sir Fred earlier? And what is the purpose of this?
"How long have you been working as my father's secretary?"
I don't know why he is interested in that. But later I still answered, "It's been 4 years."
"Do you know how to cook?" he suddenly asked.
"Yes," I still answered even though I was confused by his questions.
"Can you do household chores?"
"Yes?" I am very good at housework because I have been independent for four years.
"Can you take care of 2 kids?"
"Yes." I used to take care of my youngest brother and nephews when I was still in the province.
but wait... why is Sir Clint asking me such things?
"Then I'm firing you as Dad's secretary!"
"Yes?! But why--"
"You will be a nanny to my children."
"That's really bad, Sir. From secretary to nanny?" shock was all over my face.
I thought I was just asking that's why I'm answering, I didn't know that this Sir Clint would just fire his job and offer a new one.
Passing employees who are on their way home are also looking at us. the others are also different if they look at it, maybe thinking that I'm sucking Sir Clint.
"Just deal with it! Or maybe you want to lose your job forever?"
