Prolog -Nick-10 years ago

Fort Benning Georgia

    Cole, Nick, and Wyatt are going through the reception battalion, trying to get through their first few weeks of boot camp.

“Hey, I’m Nick Le Beaux from New Orleans. “

“Hi Nick, I’m Cole Gallagher, and this is my brother from another mother, Wyatt Gallagher.  We are from the far east suburbs of Chicago.”

“I have a high school buddy that lives in that area.  Damn, Wyatt, you are huge.  I thought I was tall.”

Wyatt just grunted.

“He is a man of few words.”  Cole said.

“No problem with that.  I like to talk, so this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.”  Nick said.

 The guy's got through boot camp without any issues.  Next came AIT or advanced individual training, finally airborne training.  This would make them eligible for Ranger school.  As it turned out, these three had all decided to go the same route.

 Cole seemed to have a lot of computer type smarts.   Whereas Wyatt and Nick seemed to be more on the braun side than the brain.

 As the weeks went by, the guys fell into a rhythm of work and sleep.  It felt as if they were flying through all of their training.

 Cole got pulled aside one day by his commanding officer.

“ Gallagher, someone needs to talk to you.”  said  Captain Johnson.

“ Yes, sir.” said Cole.

 As it turned out, Cole has an aptitude for computer hacking.  So he was sent for a special training detail, on top of his Ranger training.

 Cole, Nick, and Wyatt became great friends, more like brothers.   No matter where they were stationed or deployed, they kept in touch.

 Then, a few years later, when they got out of the military, all three got together to start a security company.

 Nick, having medical training, wanted to work on the pre hospital side of the medical field.  He still was one of the founding members of “Ranger Security”.   Nick helped out where possible, but his high school friend, Ray O' Grady, owned his own ambulance service.   So Nick went to work for Ray.  He had to take EMT basic and paramedic classes even though he had been an Army medic.  It was hard for him to start over, but this was something he loved to do.
