My father stood beside me and began speaking.
"Lillian, give them some time to slowly accept you."
I looked up at my father and nodded obediently with a gentle expression.
"Okay, Dad."
Seeing my compliance, my father did not say much more. He simply opened the car door, and we both returned to the Walsh family’s villa.
After settling my affairs with the Walsh family, it was already the afternoon.
My father went to his company.
My mother went to have afternoon tea and play golf with the wealthy ladies.
My brother hung out with his friends.
In the luxurious manor, only I and the real daughter, Joanne, were left.
I was sitting on the balcony, communicating with an admissions officer.
Suddenly, I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around and saw Joanne, with her arms crossed, glaring at me angrily.
I smiled subtly and leisurely sipped my coffee in front of her, then spoke into the phone.
"Please send the admission letter to my place. I will instruct the butler to open the door by then."
After saying this, I finally hung up the phone and set down my coffee cup.
I looked up at Joanne, her eyes burning with rage.
She walked over and violently smashed my coffee cup onto the ground.
The glass shards pierced into my ankle, causing blood to emerge.
This made me slightly displeased.
However, as if she hadn't noticed, she spoke to me with a mocking tone,
"Lillian, as an illegitimate daughter, how dare you step into the Walsh family's villa?"
"You are just nobody. How dare you think you can live under the same roof as me? You’re out of your league."
