Flynn woke up and shouted suddenly. She looked around and realized that she was now in her house.
Flynn's friends who were waiting in the living room rushed into her room. They were very happy that Flynn had finally regained consciousness.
"My head is so dizzy." Flynn held her head. It felt like she had just had a horrible dream. "Who helped me?"
"What do you mean? The guards there, of course. They saw you floating on the boat," Grace replied.
"I really didn't think that you would go to the middle of the lake to avoid those wolves, Flynn." Kendal hugged Flynn because she felt so guilty.
"That's a very long story. But I'm glad the wolves didn't eat me."
Flynn suddenly remembered the big wolf that was in the same boat as her. "What about the wolf? Did he run away before the officers arrived?"
"The two wolves that suddenly came into the campground area? Those have already been secured."
"No, the wolf I'm referring to is the one in the boat with me. I went to the center of the lake with someone and he turned into a really big wolf. Then the boat flipped over and I was thrown into the lake."
"Maybe you were dreaming, because we didn't find the wolf you were referring to. There was only you unconscious on the boat, soaking wet. Your body was cold at the time, maybe you were hallucinating due to hypothermia," Grace explained.
Flynn clearly remembered everything. She even knew the name of the werewolf, Neil Walter.
Flynn also remembered that she was the one who saved Neil from the big wolf they encountered in the forest. But how come people didn't realize Neil had turned into a wolf? Such a large animal should have been clearly visible.
"Maybe you won't believe it. But I actually met a man who turned into a werewolf." Flynn was still trying to tell her friends that what she said was true.
"Flynn, maybe you've read too many stories like that. Plus the atmosphere last night was very supportive. So maybe your memories are mixed up," Kendal said.
"Kendal, Grace, I'm being honest right now. I'm not trying to scare you. It's the truth. I saved him from a very big wolf."
Grace and Kendal couldn't help but laugh at Flynn's explanation. It was so funny to them.
"How could you save a werewolf from a wolf? That's so funny, Flynn."
"I didn't know he was a werewolf because he was just like us. Then when I took him to the lake and got on the boat, he turned into a wolf. His eyes were dark blue like the wolf that chased us." Flynn realized that Amanda and Lisa weren't there. "Where are Amanda and Lisa?"
"They had some sudden business and couldn't accompany you here. And oh yeah, your parents went out of town on some business. So they left you with us."
Flynn finally got up from the bed. She looked outside. Flynn had been feeling strange lately and it culminated last night when she met the werewolf.
Flynn looked at her body, she did not feel the soreness that her body felt last night. There were also no scratches on her legs and hands, the wounds seemed to have simply disappeared.
"I have somewhere to be. You guys go home, I'll see you later."
Flynn wanted to prove her curiosity by visiting a place, it was called Dummer Library.
With a new car given by her parents for her 20th birthday, Flynn finally arrived at the Dummer Library. This place holds all the secrets about mythological creatures.
And it was also here that Flynn first learned about the werewolves she didn't believe existed.
Flynn went to the special aisle of fantasy books that she usually read. While her parents were out of town, she had plenty of time to stay late in the library.
Flynn explored the shelves of fantasy novels, especially those about werewolves. She also went to the history aisle to see if there was any history of Dummer City that talked about werewolves.
So this was a long research for Flynn. For this reason, she chose to sit in the quietest place, which was in the computer section.
Flynn started reading carefully without missing a single important piece of information. She even recorded the information in a book she had made specifically to discuss mythological creatures.
Meanwhile, time continued to run while Flynn was still looking for the information she needed. Flynn had been in the library for almost eight hours and it was now eight o'clock in the evening.
"Here it is!" Flynn marked the page that contained information about the legend of werewolves in Dummer City. "It says that in the early 15th century, there was a group of people who worshiped their god who was a wolf. They believed in the god and wanted to be like him. So they performed rituals to turn into werewolves. They mated with wolves and drank their blood. Then with the ritual, the human finally turns into a werewolf who transforms during the full moon. The transformed humans bite other humans so that they become a large group. They also have extraordinary abilities that are different for each individual."
Flynn closed her book when someone accidentally nudged her bag until it fell. She looked down to pick up her bag and when she looked up again, she jumped in surprise.
Flynn's index finger pointed at the person. "You... weren't you the one yesterday?" Flynn could not hide her look of fear.
"I've never seen you before," Neil said.
"You're Neil Walter, right? You're that werewolf right?"
"What do you mean, are you so sleepy you're talking nonsense?"
Flynn patted her cheek to confirm that she was still fully awake. "I need to stay away from him because he's dangerous," Flynn muttered. To that end, Flynn pretended nothing had happened and turned around to leave the library immediately.
"Wait," Neil said.
