Chapter 3.

Scarlett's Pov.

Tomorrow was my first shift and I was going to get to meet my mate and I was so excited even though I had my doubts especially after my experiment with the green eyed man I had my doubts.

What if my werewolf hates me? What if I  can't change back ? What if he is really my mate? Will he reject me?

Today I was woken up by Moana.

"Scarlett dear wake up please my brother Andrew wants to see you in his office at the club as soon as possible" she said.

The mention of Andrew's name has me sitting up in the bed with a atart. I rushed to get dressed and scrubbed my face clean of make up.

"What does he want" I asked.

"I don't know sweetie but you must hurry. Ill be able to nuts one time for you to eat something but you have to go to his office as soon as you are done. Take care and good luck" she said and embraced me in a hug.

I hugged her back and she gave me a warn smile. Moana was the closest thing I had to a sister and mother in the house. She always prays to the moon goddess for me and the other girls. I love her. She was too nice to be a relative to that monster called my boss

I hurried up and ate a granola bar then headed straight to Andrew s office. I knocked once and stepped back as I waited patiently for his response. Seconds later he said come in so I opened the door and let myself in.

He motioned for me to take a seat and I did with my head bowed.

"Scar,  heads up. It has been brought to my notice by my sister Moana  that your birthday is tomorrow and you are to shift. Am I right?

"Yes sir" I replied politely

"Big eighteen. My golden girl is finally a woman" he said moving round the office in a circular motion.

Is he for real? I didn't know what to say so I just nodded my head.

"I was only meant to keep you until you become of age to which you are about to be " he continued saying.

" I'm leaving" I whispher asked

I gulped as I anxiously waited for his next words.

"Yes, but I have a great proposition or should I say offer for you. You can choose between leaving immediately after your birthday or waiting behind for 3 months and I get to grant you any wish of your choice for your birthday Scar dear".

I looked at him shocked and top stunned to reply.

"You can have whatever you like. I'll ask you to think about this deeply before giving me your answer. I'll be waiting for your reply unfailingly on your birthday. You may go now" he said dismissively.

"Yes sir" I replied standing up from the sofa.

"Oh and by the way " he called just as I was about to walk out. " Happy birthday in advance".

"Thank you sir " after which I walked out swiftly before my thoughts overwhelmed me.

Happy birthday? Is he kidding me right now, there's nothing happy about this birthday especially with the decision he wants me to make in a day.

I walked to my friends room. They were awake and by the smile on their  faces as soon as they sighted me it was obvious they were waiting for me.

" Here comes our birthday girl and soon to be adult"  they whisper yelled so as not to attract attention from the guard and tackled me into a hug.

"Thanks guys" I said.

I sat down on their bed and told them about my visit to our boss office.

"Where  would you go" Sandra asked with tears lingering round her eyes.

" I don't know" I replied honestly.

"Which of the options would you choose Scarlet"  Martha asked calmly, placing her hands over mine as a means of comfort.

I looked at the two girls in front of me which I call my best friends and family. Martha has a brown hair with brown eyes while Sandra has a blonde hair and blue eyes. They were my sister's I couldn't possibly leave without them.

Then an idea popped into my head.

"What if I asked him if I could stay" I uttered.

"Scarr I don't think that's what we would wish for you to do as your best friends" Martha said.

"Wait I think i get what you are thinking, if you stay you can ask for me and Martha to come along with you as you leave in three months as your birthday wish" Sandra said squealing.

"Exactly sandra that's the idea" I said with a blown up smile on my face

"Wait, what If he says you could only take one of us" Sandra says agin

We all sat there in silence cause we knew Andrew could literally do that.

"I can't pick between the two of you, I won't want to separate you guys either. I'll have to go alone if he says so besties" I reasoned outrightly.

"Your right" Martha said silently

"I also wish I could get Moana out of here also" I muttered.

"That's really impossible, boss can never leave is sister and he would go to any length to get her back dear"Martja countered.

They got up and came to hug me. We were all happy while they had tears in their eyes, I wanted to cry but there was no tears left in my eyes all dried up from the past years.

So I just hugged them both warmly.

"No matter what happens we will always think of you"  said.

"Likewise" I said smiling sadly.

Then Sandra  got up and grabbed something from under their pillow.

"Here this is from me and Martha pulling out a shiny bracelet.

"Thanks guys you are the best" I said with tears threatening to fall from my eyes

"Best friends forever" Sandra screamed pulling us into a hug once more.

"Forever" I and Martha replied chuckling at one another.

We talked some more then went to do our chores. The day was ending way to soon. It would be mere hours before I have to go for today's night activities.

Surprisingly the green eyes man didn't come over to the club today. "So much for being my mate" I thought disappointed but relived at the same time.

I did my shift and went to bed.
