CHAPTER VII

True enough to his words, we ended having sex until three in the morning. If I just didn't told him that I was really tired, he wouldn't stop.

The next day I woke up very late. It was already one in the afternoon when I woke up. Avin was hugging me tightly while sleeping. I don't know but his hug made me me feel so comfortable while sleeping. He made me feel safe in his arms.

I tightly shut my eyes as everything that we did last night dawned on me. Was it right or wrong? Did I made the right decision. I wasn't drunk. No liquors involved. Even just a glass, I didn't drank.

I sighed heavily. I tried removing Avin's arm around me. Thankfully, I was able to do it without waking him up. I'm already wearing a shirt but I have nothing under. Avin gave it to me before I dozed off to sleep.

I went down the bed, but each time that I moved, everything aches! Why? It feels so awesome when doing it, but why does it have to be painful after. Now, I'm sore all over.

I started walking slowly, trying to endure the soreness of that one particular part that was used so much last night.

I got relieved when I reached the living room of this penthouse. I immediately sat on the nearest couch. I feel like I had a marathon. Well, I really had a marathon. Ugh! My mind! Don't be so dirty please.

I searched for my bag and phone. I'm thankful that I brought these things. My phone was on silent when I saw it. But there's an upcoming call. It was Camilla, she's the sister of Taden's Mom. Taden is the son of Jake to his late girlfriend. I answered the call.

"Hi, Camilla! How are you?"

"Hi, Steph! I'm fine. How about you?"

"I'm fine, too. Why did you call, by the way? Is there a problem."

"Uh, it's not really a problem, but are you busy right now?" she sounds shy. "I'm busy as well as Travis and no one can fetched Taden later at school. Can you fetched him for me? And also, can he stay with you for a night? I'm just really busy."

I smiled even though she couldn't see it. "Yes, it's okay. Don't worry, I'll take a good care of him. What time will I fetched Taden?"

She told me the details then said her thanks. She said I'm gonna fetched him later at afternoon. At least I still have time to prepare. After we ended the call, I searched for my clothes. I just wore them again minus the panty. I just wore one of the boxer shorts of Avin.

I'm now inside his room, already dressed up. He's still sleeping peacefully while hugging the pillow. He looks cute—No! He's ugly!

Since he was still sleeping, I went out of his penthouses without saying goodbye. Just like what happened the last time.

I went back to the cemetery. I just took a Taxi to go back there. When I arrived, before going to my car, I walked towards Jake's grave.

"Jake, I'm sorry. I slept with someone again. I'm sorry I wasn't able to stop myself. I got too drowned by it." Some tears fell from my eyes. "You still have a special place in my heart," I stared at it for awhile before going out to look for my car.

I drove going to my condo. I just took a bath and ate. I haven't eaten anything yet since I woke up. I'm starving. I just texted my secretary about my sudden leave today.

Three o'clock in the afternoon when I decided to go out to fetched Taden. I was on my way to his school when my phone rang. I glanced at it to know if who was the caller. When the stop light turned green, I cancelled the call.

However, my phone rang again. It's the same caller. It's Avin. I ignored the call and just continued driving. I know we had sex last night, it's just that, right now, I feel embarrassed. I don't even know the exact reason. I just feel embarrassed and I can't face nor talk to him.

I parked my car and waited for Taden to go out. Taden is already seven years old, turning eight three months from now. Currently in fourth grade. I waved my hand the moment that I saw him and our eyes met. His blue eyes that reminded me a lot about his father. Jake.

He ran towards me and I kneeled a bit to equal his height. I hugged him tighly when he reached me. I miss this kid. It's a bittersweet whenever I looked at his eyes. But since Jake died, he became my happy pill.

"I missed you, Den," I said as we broke the hug. "How are you? How was your day? Did it went well?"

I nodded happily, "I missed you, too, Mama Steph. My day went really well because I got a perfect score in our quiz."

"Really? Since you got a perfect score, do you want to eat ice cream as your prize?"

"Of course!" he clapped his hands. I opened the front of my car. After him, I rode the car, too, and started driving.

"Before we go to the ice cream parlor, we will go first to your Tita Camilla. Okay?" he just nodded happily. I smiled warmly at him.

Camilla's currently managing their family business. Since her sister Margaret, Taden's biological mother, died, she started managing their flower shop. They also have a catering business and they organize events. Camilla's mother was already dead, too. While her father is sick. So helping her out with taking care of Taden was the least that I can do.

Sometimes, Taden stays with Jake's family, but as of the moment, they are also busy with their business. Travis, Jake's only brother, sometimes takes care of Taden as well.

When we arrived at the flower shop, it looks busy. It seems like Camilla was really busy. We went out of the car and walked towards the entrance. I already texted Camilla. The moment that I stepped in inside, I saw her holding a small bag while talking to one of her employees. I let her finished first before calling her.

"Hey, Steph," she said when she neared me. "I'm really sorry about that. I'm just really busy." Then she gave me the small bag that she was holding. "Here is Taden's clothes. Everything that he need are all there.

"No, no, it's okay with me. I'm happy to help you," I said while smiling to assure her. I took the bag from her. "Is it until tomorrow only? You seems like you have a lot on your plate."

"I don't really know. My schedule is still busy, but I'll try to fetch him tomorrow."

"It's okay, take your time." She nodded.

She kneel down to talk to Taden. "Baby, listen to your Mama Steph, okay? Don't be too hyper and don't stress her out."

"Of course. I promise, I will be behave. We will actually go to the ice cream parlor because I got a perfect score in our quiz," he happily said.

Camilla chuckled, "Oh, wow. Just continue to be a good student."

After they talked, we bid our goodbye to her. We left the flower shop and drove off going to the ice cream parlor.

While driving my phone rang, it was Avin. I declined the call and didn't bother to text him. What happened last night was purely lust. And for the second time around, I got drowned by him. I should stop our communication before I could even drag him in my messed up life. He may be a doctor but he can't heal me.
