After sitting through the remaining twenty minutes of Physics it was time for Biology. So far there were no suspects on my list. All the boys, like the girls in my class, were dead during the entire class which made it hard to tell who could be smuggling a bomb back home.
My walk to Biology was a rather uncomfortable one, with all the boys gawking at me. So much for blending in. Valak had advised me to be more friendly, so as to be more trustworthy and appealing, but that is not how I operated. I didn't get to where I was by playing nice.
"Blayze." The green eyed Vietnamese looking male appeared at my side, still wearing his apparent signature smile. "How was your first lesson?" He asked as he fell into step with me.
"Well, besides me arriving forty minutes late and having to sit next to a wheezing moron that wouldn't stop staring at me (even while he dug his nose), I'd give my first lesson a two out of ten, (The two being for the boy that set his sleeve on fire)."
"You got put next to Wheezing Wesley? I'll have to talk to the principle about that. We wouldn't want your first memory of our school to be unpleasant." He winced.
"Thanks," I mumbled as we headed for the back of the class room.
"Anytime. If you're not comfortable with anything, and I mean anything! Let me know and I'll get it sorted, yeah?" He widened his muddy eyes, that unlike Valak's were darker but less cunning.
I frowned slightly, wondering if every new student was offered that package or just those with vaginas.
"These boys can be quite a hassle, especially towards new students. The worst part is you're a girl so..."
"I don't need a knight in shining armour." I snapped.
"I didn't mean it in any offensive way, I know you're probably capable of taking care of yourself..." He shrugged.
"Good." I intervened. "So we won't be having this conversation again."
"Cool." he breathed.
"Xen!" The boy I recocginised as Darwin Everest came towards us in greeting. He had the IQ of a five year old, but his family owned most of the mining businesses in town, which meant he was extremely wealthy. There were four other boys walking with him, a blonde haired Louis Holdeman, average marks, average looks, average life. The famous Marcus Green was also with them, the star quarter back who was counting on a sports scholarship for tertiary education to be a Football coach. A sky scraper named Nito Fraser walked next to him. Nito didn't have much going for his future, but somehow he managed to keep his marks afloat. The last guy, I did not notice. His face wasn't at all familiar and I had no stats on him from the Agency.
After greeting Xenon with the most complicated handshake ever, Darwin waved at me cheerfully and I waved back. Almost all of them waved with wide smiles, except Louis who just nudged his head towards me. They seemed so nervous to be in the presence of a girl at their school, and I understood that.
What I didn't understand however, was what Nito did.
I felt a light poke on my lower waist and a seductive greeting was breathed into my ear.
I ignored it, choosing to silently calm the stirring pit of anger within.
"Hey," Nito whispered again, this time tapping my behind. "I said, sup."
I stared into the atmosphere blankly as anger crawled out of every one of my pores.
"Dammit Nito." Xenon covered his face as though predicting what was coming.
I turned around and tilted my head, swiftly grabbing a pressure point behind his elbow and twisting it mercilessly. He immediately started screaming, and I won't lie, it brought me immense pleasure. I pinched it some more, and he cried in pain, dropping to the floor and kneeling at the grace of my control.
"Sup." I rasped. "You need to time out." I told him grabbing his shoulder and placing just the right amount of pressure in between his collar bone to knock him out cold for the next few hours.
I loosened my grip and stood up straight.
"Any body else got a fancy handshake they want to try on me?" I asked.
I spotted a couple of bobbling Adam's apples and wide terrified eyes.
"Guess not."
********
Turns out knocking other students out was not allowed in school, even though it wasn't stated in the rule book.
"There shouldn't be a rule that states that you cannot knock out other people's children, Agent B92," replied the principal as he took off his spectacles.
"But he touched me."
"He was just doing what any other normal teenaged boy would do,"
"Poking and prodding an analyst?" I asked cocking a brow. "That's the shit you teach children at your school?"
"Of course not! But..." he sighed, he was clearly not winning this argument. "Agent B92..."
"Let's agree to disagree, " I stated, crossing my one leg over the other.
He sighed, giving up on my stubborn attitude. "Anyways, since you are a student here, I will have no choice but to put you in detention, " he announced.
"Great. Show me to the poles." I mumbled boredly, too used to the act of detention.
"What poles?"
"The one I stand on,"
The principal frowned. "You just sit in the class for an hour," he stated rather stupidly.
"Like solitary confinement?" I asked rather too eagerly.
"Yes, except with other students there." I gave him a dumbfounded look, a bit disappointed at his statement.
"So I'm literally just sitting and conversing with other students as punishment?"
"This is a school, agent, not a concentration camp." he said.
Before I could come up with a snarky reply there was a loud rapture on the door, it opened and Trent walked in with quite the furious face.
"You're late, Agent G69," said the principal. I wondered how everyone knew this guy and what his deal was in the agency.
"I'm sorry, Agent A08, I over slept." Was his reply as he gave me the devil eye.
I smirked with pleasure and attempted to stand up. "Can I go now?" I asked.
Agent A08 held up two fingers to signal a moment while he took out another bunch of files. "Agent G69, you will be in the art classes, B92 took the sciences, that way you cover more ground,"
"Cover more what? This is my mission he is here as an advisor, not a spy," I replied rather too quickly.
"I am aware of that, Agent B92 but it will get suspicious with both new students being in the same classes, this has to be coincidental. "
I sighed. "Fine." The further away he was the better anyway. I stood up and walked out. I could hear Trent's fast paced strides as he followed me out.
"You took down an agent,"
"Self defence..." I intruded.
"Dissed a mentor who so happens to be the principal of this school..."
"He acts like a retard." I defended.
"And knocked out a teenaged boy, "
"He touched me." I stated coldly.
"Who cares? What really matters is you did that all in one day!" Yelled Trent as he followed me. "You are completely out of control."
I stopped walking and faced him. "And where were you this entire time Mr. Know it all?"
"Getting transport. Since you left me on the floor with fractured bones." He replied sulking slightly.
I gave him a look, it didn't take two hours to get transport from the agency, more like two seconds.
"What I was doing does not concern you, more like vice versa," he said defensively.
I kept walking before he grabbed my arm... Again.
Someone was a slow learner.
I took it, bending the wrist while simultaneously kicking him behind the knee so he fell and I went down to pin him with his hands behind his back.
He somehow got free before twisting onto his back and grabbing my neck, pulling me to the floor and landing on me with his hands on mine, so that I now lay on my stomach with him on me.
"I got some moves too, ancient," he mumbled in my ear.
"Too bad they're not good enough," I replied, knocking his face with the back of my skull, he loosened his grip on my hands and I elbowed him in the gut. I stood up, dusted my shoulder and began walking away again.
He groaned in pain. "Blayze, you have to start acting like you care about the rest of the Agency," I was glad he knew I didn't care about any of them. "If you are discovered we will be shut down and taken by the government. Is that what you want?" He asked through painful pants of air.
I stopped walking, rolling my eyes. I couldn't let that happen to the one place I called home so I turned around and looked him.
"Great." He moaned as he did a flip and got up. Show off.
"So now can we please try and work together, the faster we do this the faster we will get out of each others lives." He said through gasps from our little argument. Some one was out of shape. Well not really, an advantage of being an agent was that your body was always ready for action.
Not that type of action.
"Okay. But only if you promise to stop being such a dominant prick," I told him. "You do not own me, you are not in charge of my actions and you cannot tell me what I can and cannot do, especially on this mission. Got it?"
"Got it. Only if you promise to behave, " I nodded and we shook on it.
"Where are you off to?" He asked as I turned and walked away.
"Detention," came my reply. I heard him mumble a string of swear words and I smirked. All in a good days work.
