6.People can sure send vibes
Rose sat at the back of the class with Josef. Mr.Blue's subject was history and gave Josef permission to use the period to tell her everything they learnt this year. Instead, Josef used the time to warn her about his or her, class.
He subtly pointed to the group of boys in the front,' Jocks. 'He whispered,' The one with the long black hair and green eyes: Tommy. Second best athlete in the school. The rest is just his friends or entourage. Any one is fine.'
Rose nodded but Josef wasn't done,' The girls behind them,' jerked his head towards the barbies. ', basic cheerleaders and rich girls. The typical I-think-I-own-this-island attitude.'
Rose knew a little about those types. Even though Rose was rich she had to constantly deal with girls like that due to her relationship with Jackson, a prodigy. They pulled into school with their Bentleys and Porsches and tried to steal any boy into their trap. They acted like they ruled the school. Rose didn't have a problem with them as long as they didn't get in her way.
Rose pointed to the group of boys and girls,' And I presume this is your group? A group of cool nerds, right?'
Josef nodded,' The best of the best. A bit of an athletic, brainiac and slackers in one. Every now and then we do something together. Going to the beach or watching movies. The girl over there,' He pointed to a girl with really dark hair and brown complexion,' my girlfriend, fourth smartest person in the grade. Yours truly is third.'
'Who's second and first?' Rose asked. She was the smartest person in her grade by her old school something Jackson had always hated. Now though, knowing that her brother was the third smartest was something to...enjoy.
Josef pointed to a guy sitting next to Tommy. He was a couple of centimeters shorter than Tommy and at least a twenty centimeters shorter than Josef, he had orange hair and an athletic body. He seemed to be actually paying attention to what Mr.Blue was saying unlike his friends.
'Second smartest. Names Victor, nickname Nike. We tied in our race to be the smartest, and your humble brother gave second away.' He seemed really proud about that. Rose turned to look at Victor. Something about him pulled her, and she understood the nickname. Nike, goddess of Victory and Victor, you connect the dots.
'Number one?' Rose asked, her eyes still on Victor.
Josef pointed behind her. She turned, with quite some difficulty, to see a desk that had been moved back away from the rest of the classroom. She had seen the desk and it's occupant. She remembered the boy's dark green eyes and the feeling she got. Everything about the boy said stay away and was constantly pushing her away. Rose could barely look at the guy because all her eyes would do was meet the floor. Her eyes complained about why they needed to look at someone like that when they could look at Victor. But nevertheless she noticed the boy was sleeping again.
'How is he the smartest kid in the grade?' Rose asked, suddenly conscious of her eyes rebellion.
'Don't know.' Josef answered,' All I've ever seen him do is sleep so I don't understand how he retains knowledge but he does. Kind of unfair if you ask me.'
Finally, Rose couldn't look at him any more. She can almost imagine her eyes sighing in relief. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Josef staring at her. She looked at him and asked,
'What?'
He shook his head,' Nothing just everyone acts that way with Luke. When I first met him, I didn't feel what your feeling.'
'And what am I feeling?' Rose asked him. The back of her head started to pain as if talking about the repulsive Luke was hurting her.
'You feel repulsed, somethings telling you to avoid him. When I met him, he looked like a causal guy and I welcomed him. In fact, now that I think about it, I am the last person he spoke to.'
Rose turned her head to the sleeping boy, for some reason her eyes not settling on him. She thought about what Josef said, how everyone reacted the same way except him. Luke must have some kind of power to revolt people. As Rose thought about it Luke didn't sound right, almost if something was wrong with the name.
'His name is Luke?' , Rose asked, trying not to sound rude. Josef, to her dismay, shook his head.
'Nickname. Stands for something.'

The morning finished with maths. All the while Josef kept Rose busy, chatting about the school and catching her up on the work. Break had finally come and Rose welcomed it with relief and nerves. This was the first time she would make friends here.
Josef led her to the cafeteria which was bustling with all the grades in one room. The multiple cliques sat at their own tables, chatting up a storm and eating away. Josef led her to a table near a window. It's occupants seemed to be creating most of the noise in the room.
As we reached it, Rose studied the occupants. A tall girl with choppy black hair, a small girl with long braided hair, a smaller girl with a funny hairstyle and an athletic girl with short hair. Only one boy was among the four girls. He was definitely the shortest with glasses and nice hair. It seemed odd that he was the only one here but Rose assumed he wouldn't be here if it was a problem.
They all turned to look at Rose. The one with braided hair greeting her first,' So this is the famous Rose? I'm Jessica, Josefs girlfriend.'
The girl with the choppy hair went next, 'Kat.'
The girl with short hair,' Ingrim.'
The one with the weird hairstyle,' Andrea.'
The boy held out his hand,' Kyle.'
'This is my family,' Josef said ', and they're yours now too.'
Rose looked at her new friends and wondered how easy it was. She immediately sat down and began to talk about each of their lives, books they read on wattpad, favourite things to watch and cute boys. They were indeed cool and Rose immediately liked them.
'What do you guys think of Tommy?' Rose asked while they were on the subject. Andrea grabbed her hand,
'Oh no Rose. That boy is full of trouble.'
'Yeah.' Jessie added,' Actually there is a number of boys you should avoid like Dre, Logan, Tommy and...um who else?' She asked her friends.
'And Luke.' ,added Ingrim. Everyone nodded in agreement except Josef.
'His dangerous, Rose. You'll see.' Kyle warned her. Rose was taken aback.
'What do you mean I will see?' Rose asked him. Josef smiled apologetically.
'Here in Olvido we have a special kind of P.E.'
