Introduction of the book, Olvido.

This isn't a fictional book and if you are reading this then it's already too late. You might as well read this book finished.

My name is Noah Eaves, tenth descendent of the Ultimate family. I moved to Olvido in search of a life and arrived here just two days ago and it took such little time for me to realize there was something wrong with this island.

The night I arrived, I stood on the beach overlooking the scenary beyond my home, the light's started appearing. They changed every night taking on a new shape but still burning never longer than ten seconds. I started investigating the lights until they disappeared all together.

One night they did not appear so I headed over to the hill. There I discovered a symbol that was burnt on the hill. Maybe the light was responsible but whatever the case, the symbol that was burnt into the hill is now the cover of this journal.

I went back and grabbed my sketch pad and piece of charcoal. I started sketching the symbol and making copies of it. Once I was done with the sketches I started going to the library to research the symbol. Once I found nothing I asked someone to help me but when I showed him the symbol, he couldn't see it. All he saw was a blank page.

Perhaps it was Hecate and her Mist or some other magic but the fact remained that this island was touched by some god. I then decided I would find out which. I spent days researching and trying to find the islands history but all I found was another symbol. I had no idea what it meant until I touched it. Then I passed out.

A fortnight later, I woke up in the hospital. Apparently I had been asleep the entire time. The symbol was the emblem of Hypnos, god of sleep. When I got out and back to the journal I decided to draw the symbol, sure I would have more sleepless night's about and on the island.
