#####The sun rays peeked through the curtains, casting a soft glow on her face as she laid in bed. Turning around and stretching her body, her eyes fluttered open, it was morning.
Rubbing her bleary eyes, she smiled, recollecting the events that had happened yesterday. Getting off the bed, She made the bed and headed for the bathroom were she freshened up, humming happily.
Getting ready, she was dressed in a knee length fitted off shoulder gown, her skin appearing delicate beneath the dress. Her hair had been tied up into a messy bun, revealing her long sexy neck of smooth skin. She applied light making up, dabbing her lush lips with red lipstick. Finally putting on her red shoes, She headed to the company
Lex was nervous as she walked into the company, her eyes darting around. Walking to the meeting room from yesterday, she pushed the door open. However, when she walked into the room she felt the hostility in the air.
A woman in black was sneering at Lex, as she quickly moved past her and pulled out a chair where she sat.
"Good morning, miss Lex" Gabe greeted, his usual smile plastered across his face.
"Good morning" Lex Greeted back, avoiding the woman's weird gaze. She was the woman from yesterday whom she bumped into. Who was she?
"This is Miss Emelda, the assistant CEO of skyrise industries" Gabe said, his eyes darting towards the woman sitting beside him.
Smiling, the woman reached out her hand for a handshake, which Lex took hesitantly.
"Nice to meet you, Lex" She said wearing a smile, it was obviously fake...Lex thought. She could see the hostility in Emelda's eyes as she stared at her.
"We've sent a copy of the signed contract to your manager. There are benefits that come with it, as you know" Gabe said, staring intently at Lex.
After the introduction, Gabe and Emelda both left Lex to familiarize herself with the company.
Walking around, she met a few people, mostly guys who seemed awestruck at her hair. it was natural after all, and it seemed really unbelievable to have natural white hair. She had always been made fun of since she was in highschool. They'd call her old and grey, they'd call her weird.
They always distanced themselves from her saying she had been cursed by a wicked witch. At that time she had been really naive and sensitive, and their words hurt her a lot, leaving her depressed. She had no one to stand up for her until Riele transferred into the school. Riele had been awestruck too, She didn't criticise her at all. She accepted her white hair, She told her how great she would look on magazines and bill boards...as a model. A model with natural white hair.
Shaking off the thoughts, Lex walked forward, bumping into something really hard.
"Owww" she cried out, rubbing her forehead.
"You sure know how to bump into people" She heard a deep voice say. Raising her head, she was met with a pair of deep blue eyes staring down at her. She was speechless. He was the guy from yesterday, the guy who went away with Emelda. What was he doing here?
Chuckling, his brow raised questioningly as if asking "What are you looking at"
Shaking her head to get rid of the thoughts, she walked passed him, brushing him off with her shoulder, it wasn't her concern anyway.
"Hey, hey, you can't just walk away like that. You still have to thank me for yesterday" He called out, trailing behind her.
Stopping in her tracks, she turned around and said,"Thank you, mister. Now can you not follow me?"
"I still don't know your name though" He said, his lips curling up into a smirk as he stared at her. Not bad, he thought. She didn't look bad at all. She looked quite beautiful, her grey eyes looked fierce and cute at the same time.
"It's not important" She said, walking away again, but he continued trailing behind her.
"I'll not stop following you until you tell me your name."
"Fine, it's Alexis, but you can call me Lex" she said unwillingly.
"I'm Alexander, but you can call me Alex...everyone does" He said, walking along with her.
"You said you'd stop following me" Lex reminded him, stopping and folding her arms accusingly. He just gave her a look that said "What are you talking about?
"You...You tricked me! She yelled at him, stomping on his foot and walking away.
"Owwww" he whined before trailing behind her, limping, pretending to be really hurt.
"Anyone ever told you how fierce you are? He asked as he walked closely behind her, but she ignored him.
She suddenly stopped, turning around to look at him.
"Where are we? she asked, her eyes darting around. They were standing in an empty hallway. She seemed to have walked quite a distance from the meeting room, and now she didn't know this place.
Smirking teasingly, he looked around...
"You're right. Where are we? he asked, feigning innocence.
Glaring fiercely at him, Alexander was forced to speak
"Fine, fine...I'll lead the way" He said feeling defeated as he shook his head helplessly. This girl...he thought
After being toured around by Alex, they seemed to have gotten closer.
Finally done in the company, Lex headed to the cafe, starting her shift.
*Gray industries*
He sat on a chair, his working table sitting on him, papers scatted all over. He was dressed in a black T-shirt and black pants.
He held his phone to his ear, and a deep masculine voice could be heard from the other end.
"He seems to be making a move, alpha. They're currently acquainted" the voice said, but he was quiet.
"Make sure she's not harmed" He said before hanging up.
Sucking in a breath, he stared into space, his eyes emitting a yellow glow.
*Greene mansion*
Emelda walked into the huge living room, her long, red heels thumping the marble floor as she walked. Getting to the red colored couch, she sunk onto it without a care in the world.
"You forget that we are not friends, Emelda" Alex said, alighting the stairs gracefully. He was dressed casually in a white T-shirt and black pants. His dark brown hair was wet, it looked like he had just taken a bath.
"You forget that I could easily end your life right now" he said again, his thin pink lips curling up into a devious smirk, his eyes glowing bright blue.
"You wouldn't do that, Alex" She said calmly as she twirled the glass of wine which a maid had poured her.
"You think so highly of yourself" Alex said, sinking onto one of the couches.
"You won't kill me because I'm the alpha's bride to be" Emelda said, a smile finding it's way to her face.
"Plus, we both want one thing" she added, taking a sip from the glass leisurely
"And what might that be? Alex asked, stroking his chin, seemingly in deep thought.
"Her life" She said, staring at the content in the glass she was holding, as if amused by it.
"Her presence is bad for the alpha" she continued.
"We both know that, Alex" she said, finally looking away from the glass, staring deeply into his eyes.
