Timmy, Nat and Eugene stood in their usual corner of the training facility, each engaging in some variation of a stretch. “Guys, there’s a new guy in my military tactics course,” Eugene said. “He’s so hot.”
“Dark blonde hair, with a muscular build and a nice ass?” Nat asked. Eugene nodded, and she continued, “I have him in war history.”
“Apparently he took a pause from school to join the military for a bit. He’s even gotten medals!” Eugene whispered.
“Is he old?” Timmy asked.
“He’s in his third year, but I’m guessing he’s two years older than us,” Eugene explained earnestly. Timmy was in awe; it was extremely difficult to get a medal in the military. For this student, who ever he was, to have gotten a medal in two years. He must have been amazing.
“Are you done gossiping?” The instructor asked. The three immediately stood straight and nodded. “Come this way, I’m starting the lesson.” The instructor proceeded to mercilessly drill combat strategies into his students. After and hour and a half, he roamed away to give the students time to practice the techniques he had just taught them with each other.
Timmy held a grey punching bag in place as Nat punched it relentlessly. His eyes wandered around the gym distractedly, looking for the new student. “That’s him next to Dakarai,” Eugene whispered in his ear. “You interested?”
There was no denying that this new student was attractive. He had a very handsome face with blond hair. His body was well sculpted, and he was tall. Taller than Timmy who was 6 feet tall. He was so good looking, Timmy almost formed an interest in him.
Almost.
“It doesn’t matter how good looking he is,” Timmy said. “No alpha will ever make me submit to them.” Eugene raised his eyebrows at his brother.
“But it feels so good,” he said in a sultry tone. Timmy blushed and let go of the punching bag to shoot Eugene a dirty glare. Before he could speak, Eugene grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the duo of alphas. He grasped a punching bag and gave Timmy a look. The omega sighed defeatedly and started punching it in the order the instructor taught them. It apparently immobilized the enemy for a few seconds.
The two alphas besides them were engaged in a serious conversation. The blonde’s expression was twisted into a frown and Dakarai wasn’t smiling like he usually would. Nat joined them and peered at the alphas subtly. The trio didn’t mean to eavesdrop. But the two were talking somewhat loudly and the conversation sounded interesting.
“That’s strange,” Dakarai said.
“It’s my first day back. I don’t think anyone has anything against me.”
“None of the expensive stuff is gone?” Dakarai asked. The blonde shook his head.
Dakarai suddenly burst into fits of laughter. “I can’t believe you got robbed and the person actually got away.”
Timmy froze, Nat gripped his arm and tugged. The blonde man continued speaking, “Well I was really tired last night. This happened around midnight.”
Timmy felt like being swallowed up by a hole. Why was his luck so terrible lately? Not only was he caught in the middle of a burglary. The person he robbed just happened to be in his major. Not to forget he was a freaking war veteran with medals! Eugene pursed his lips. He looked at Nat and Timmy, then glanced to the spot where they were before. Both of them got the message. They inched away, trying to seem natural.
“Timothy Riley Mitchells!” a voice called from behind. Timmy mentally screamed every curse word he knew but turned around.
“Timmy is fine,” he told Dakarai, making sure to send him the most plastic smile he could muster. The alpha smiled at him mischievously like always.
“Are you guys slacking off?” He asked.
“Yeah definitely.” Eugene nodded. “We’re the ones gossiping in a corner.”
“Besides, those with talent don’t have to train so hard,” Nat flipped her dark hair over her shoulder. “I guess you wouldn’t know.” A group of betas just happened to be passing by.
“Ivanov 1, Hounsou 0,” One of them said laughing. Eugene high-fived nat. Timmy joined the rejoice by smirking at Dakarai smugly.
“Ok, ok.” Dakarai raised his hands, “I’ll give you that one.”
Timmy raised his eyes and they met with the mystery alpha’s. He had purple eyes, Timmy noticed. Deep piercing ones that seemed to hold his gaze captive. Timmy smiled at the alpha and he smiled back, but his gaze held a searing intensity which made him uncomfortable. Timmy wasn’t sure if he should size him up or introduce himself. Maybe he was just feeling guilty for robbing the guy.
I didn’t steal it, he reminded himself. I returned it to its rightful owner.
“Are we done here? We have more important matters to attend,” Nat said coolly.
“Did you guys go to the movie last night?”
“Yeah, we went with our friend.” Eugene agreed. “You should have come.”
“I would have,” Dakarai said, “But I love my bed too much.”
“I’m confused,” the blond guy said. “Do you guys get along or not?”
“Depends on the day,” Eugene answered. “But I feel like you and I would get along… in many differnt ways.”
Timmy grimaced at his brother.
“What’s your name?” Eugene asked flirtatiously. Kalvin looked at him with a bemused expression.
“Kalvin. Kalvin Rogers.” He responded with a smile.
“Nice to meet you Kalvin. I’m Eugene. This is Natalie and my little brother Timothy.”
“We’re the same age!” Timmy countered.
“Shut up,” Eugene said. “I was born four months before you.”
“Let’s go guys we still have to practice,” Nat finally spoke.
“Bye Kalvin!” Eugene winked at him. “Later Dakarai.”
They left before the two alphas could even respond. When they were a safe distance away they huddled up. “Do you think we fooled him?” Nat asked.
“Well, we didn’t avoid him. We stated our alibi. And Eugene flirted with him, I think we’re good,” Timmy said. They all burst into fits of giggles. Timmy glanced over his shoulder at Kalvin. The alpha was looking at him. He was leaning against the wall with his muscular arms crossed over his chest. Timmy smiled then looked away.
He had a feeling in his gut that Kalvin hadn’t bought the act.
