Jayden POV
I couldn't get my eyes off her, as I tried recalling where I'd seen her face. She looked like someone I know, and I knew it can't be just as a result of coincidence. I know I've met her before, but I just can't bring myself to wrap my head around where and how I've seen her face.
All the while I was addressing them, she kept glaring hard at me, and I needed no one to tell me that she was not having a good feeling about me, and somehow, I felt myself getting disturbed about it. This was unusual, I didn't usually give a damn about what other people thought of me, or how they feel about me, but why was this girl making me feel this way?
The rest of the female staff couldn't stop drooling over me, as they had that dreamy look on their faces. I wasn't moved, and neither am I surprised because it was what I was used to, I got that look anywhere I go, so I see no big deal in it.
Considering how everything was set up here, I don't feel it was ok with me, this was not how I set up my own company, and I thought this place needs a whole lot of work, I meant screening out some of the staff.
The sound of a ringing phone filled the entire office, and anger surged through me. How dare that person let his or her phone ring, while I was still here? The phone rang for a few seconds before the lady finally excused herself and walked over to her desk, before taking the phone out of her bag.
"Excuse me, sir, please I'll take this call outside." She said, and without waiting for me to talk, she stormed out of the office, and I couldn't help the strong wave of shock that rushed through me. In my entire life, no one ever dared to disrespect me in this manner, no one dared to walk out on me, not even when I'm talking, how dare she?
I stared at her casting shadow unbelievably, till she was out of sight. I couldn't believe what just happened. Even if it was obvious that she didn't like me, she should at least respect me as the CEO, right? She just gave me the wrong first impression, and trust me, she will be leaving this company by tomorrow.
Turning my attention to them, I found them having shocked expressions on their faces while staring at me. I know they were expecting me to flare up, but that wasn't the best for now. I was in no mood for that, but she'll surely be welcomed with her sack letter on her table by tomorrow.
"Get back to work," I said to them, before turning around, and with that, I walked briskly out of the office, with Mr. Liam, trailing behind me. I couldn't help the anger that keeps trying to consume me, but I tried as much to control myself.
Storming into my office, I banged the door behind me, and ruffled my hair crazily, while breathing heavily in anger, as I kept pacing in the office. The incident kept replaying in my head, and I couldn't help scoffing almost every second. That girl just messed with the wrong person, she just messed with the bad guy, and she would surely pay for this. How dare she humiliate me in the presence of everyone?
"Liam!" I yelled, as I walked over to my seat, and leaned in on my desk while staring dangerously into space.
The door burst open, and he came rushing in.
"Yes sir." He said.
"Eve, I want her out of this company for good," I said, not raising my head to look at him, as my gaze kept glaring dangerously into space.
"But sir..."
"Don't make me repeat myself!" I growled in between gritted teeth, as I finally raised my head to glare at him…
Eve POV
I know what I did was totally wrong, but the person that called me was far worth more than this job, I can't possibly ignore my boyfriend's call, because of some meeting shit, right? Hell no! It can't be possible.
Walking back into the office, with a smile plastered on my face, I almost choked to death, with the glares I received from my colleagues. This was crazy. They can glare at me for as much as they want, but I knew that none of them would dare to ask me a stupid question, knowing the kind of crazy being I was.
I rolled my eyes and walked over to my seat, before resuming work on the computer, when Marian's voice came on from beside me.
"Eve what you did..."
"Marian, please! I'm busy." I cut her off, not raising my head to glance at her.
I was not in the mood for that talk, I don't care how he felt, I don't care if he was angry or not, I was even tired of this company already, he should just give me my sack letter, so I could leave, or I will be turning in my resignation letter soon.
In my entire life, I've never had this hatred at first sight for anyone, and the fact that I hated this bastard so much, even before I met him, makes the whole thing crazy...
Jayden POV,
"Dad, I don't care what's going to happen, but that Eve girl, she's leaving the company, and that's it! You needed to have seen how she humiliated me right before everyone like I was some piece of trash. I'm her boss for crying out loud, how could she have treated me like that, huh!" I yelled at dad while pacing crazily in the living room. How could he tell me that she was an important person in the company, and can't be sacked, what kind of a prank was that? I just told him that she humiliated me, and I wanted her out of the company, and all he could tell me was that she was an important person. Who cares?
"Son, you have to calm down, please. I know Eve can be very annoying, but you'll get to like her..."
"Hell, no dad! I will never like her! Like I said, she's leaving the company, and that's it!" I yelled, and without waiting for his next words, I stormed out of the living room, climbing the stairs crazily...
