CHAPTER:4

Common, Rehanth get up.." it's Aradhaya voice continuously disturbing Nikhil sleep on his weekend.

"What happened Rehanth!!" Her voice filled with fear and concern

This made Nikhil to wake up from his sleep...

"What happened" he questioned her

"Rehanth isn't responding.." she said while her eyes filled with tears

He turned and shook his brother but result is the same.

It terrorized him.."go and bring some water" he shouted at Aaradhya

She ran immediately and bought water

He splashed it on his face but Rehanth remains the same.

Nikhil checked his pulse and dailed Mohit to bring car.

"Aaradhya stay here, look after ma and Riha." He ordered and picked up his brother.

Never in his life Nikhil imagined he will see Rehanth like this.

Very mature, active kid now laying in his hands without uttering a single word.

He don't know how much time it passed, Mohit came and understood the situation..both made their way to hospital with Rehanth.

AARDHAYA POV:

Aaradhya is fighting back her tears seeing her lovely brother in law in such a situation.

He is always the one who understands without her uttering a word, he is very matured for his age.

Aaradhya always treated them like her own siblings, but now her heart and mind are not in her control.

She is wandering in the house like a zombie and doing chores.

"Where is my lunch box?" Riha shouted

Aaradhya flinched at her tone but handed her box.

She took it and walked away immediately.

Can't she be nice she thought...for first time in her life she got angry on Riha.

Both mother in law and Aaradhya are eagerly waiting for their arrival..

After it feels like a decade.....door bell rang

NIKHIL POV:

My eyes became blur not able to notice tress that are planted on either side of road

I silently prayed God that this must be a dream, not matter how many times I pinched my self can't able to escape from the reality.

When we reached the hospital, Mohit hurriedly filled the form and doctor told us to wait while he check Rehanth.

I became numb....my eyes became blur and then darkness clouded me.

By observing his friends condition, Mohit went to canteen to buy some coffee but in between the gap Nikhil lost his consciousness.

AUTHOR POV:

"Nikhil......" Mohit shouted

"Doctor doctor" he again shouted which resulted nurses came running to them.

Mohit is more tensed now, he knew everything about Nikhil especially his financial status. He respects nikhil because he refused mohit help regarding his job in Mohit company.

He laughed internally seeing his stubborn Friend who laid there on hospital bed.

"He is just stressed out, nothing serious. But when we did some tests we came to know about his genetical disorder which caused his father death" that when Mohit eyes widened with shock.

This can't be happening.. he is too young to face that

"We found that he has been suffering from thalassemia!!!"

"How can we cure it?" Mohit questioned

"We will start with minor treatment like frequent blood transfusion, iron reducing medicine and diet plans..."

I nodded not able to form sentence..

"Can he work?!"

He smiled and said "in most common words his red blood cells can't produce enough hemoglobin, it doesn't affect his daily life as long he takes treatment"

I nodded "what about Rehanth!"

"Well he is living under too much stress that's it!"

"And before you ask, we checked him well. He has less chance to get affected by thalassemia...you can take both home after they woke up" he said went away..

How can I tell aunty about Nikhil, Can she able to bare the pain that her son also affected  by the same disease as his father..

God...why you're so cruel

With that I waited for them to wake up then I drove them home. Without answering any of Nikhil questions
