chapter four

HOSPITAL, SONORA 3PM

Isabelle walked into the office of her friend who was looking through some files on the large desk in front of her.

"You're supposed to be here on vacation, but you're working, such a workaholic" Isabelle whined as she took a sit opposite Maria.

"You know work is the only thing keeping me sane, so don't judge me, and get this, the manager of this hospital here in Mexico, like the guy I appointed to watch over this hospital has been stealing from me" Maria complained.

"How? It's a hospital" Isabelle asked.

"This hospital makes more than I was told and the workers aren't even getting paid their complete salary, where did all those money go?" Maria asked.

"In his pocket" Isabelle replied.

"Yesss, that bastard, I will sue him" Maria said and Isabelle was quiet.

"He couldn't be stealing that much" Isabelle said after a while.

"That's what I thought, but this has been going on for 3years, he would have made a fortune by now" Maria replied.

A nurse entered the office.

"He is awake doctor" she informed and Maria nodded and the nurse left while she stood up from her chair.

"Who is awake?" Isabelle asked.

"A troublesome patient" Maria said and walked out while Isabelle followed.

"You can't leave yet sir" a nurse tried to calm Sebastian, he was in rage, that bitçh knocked him out.

"Calm down" Maria said as she entered and immediately Sebastian saw her he walked up to her and grabbed her neck.

The nurse shook in fear, Isabelle came in her eyes widened.

"You fuckiñg knocked me out? Who the hell do you think you are?" Sebastian growled.

Maria was loosing her breath, she held on to Sebastian's hand trying to remove it, she couldn't talk.

"Calm down sir, let her go" Isabelle tried to persuade but Sebastian wasn't having it.

He's injuries aren't fully healed yet and he felt a sting from the stab and some other injuries he gained from the accident.

"I'm leaving this damn place" Sebastian said.

"Sure, no one would stop you" Isabelle replied and Sebastian let go of Maria as she fell to the ground trying so hard to catch her breath as she coughed violently.

Sebastian was putting on the hospital clothes as he walkout of the ward and Isabelle ran towards Maria making sure she was fine.

SOFIA'S HOUSE

Sofia was enjoying a cocktail as she smiled gracefully sitting on her couch.

Beatriz son was dead and she was happy, she felt her daughter was at peace now.

She took a small picture from the couch and stared at it.

The picture had a baby that had just been born and Sofia smiled sadly

"Mamā te vengō (mom avenged you)" Sofia said looking at the girl with affection.

Her phone rang and she picked it up, dropping the picture in her hand.

"I heard what you did to Sofia" Raul said from the other line.

"News travels fast" Sofia smirked.

"Beatriz won't accept this" he spoke again.

"There's nothing she can do, you can't help her neither can Ricardo or Sanchez cause you guys know what will happen" Sofia spoke coldly.

"Yes you're right, we can't, doesn't mean others can't" Raul said

"You should have helped her delt with Sebastian, maybe he would have died, if he dies isn't that good for us all" Raul said again

"Killing him is impossible, we all know that, even the lider tried by giving him that job but he came out alive" Sofia replied.

"Secrets don't stay hidden forever" Raul spoke.

"This one would, we have been doing it, all of us have and nothing will reveal it" Sofia said and Raul hanged up.

Sofia sighed and took the girl's picture again, smiling at it.

MORTUARY, MEXICO 6PM

Sebastian was already in black suit, he was standing in front of a tomb stone that was engraved 'Rosaline Alejandro, a loving friend' there were flowers on the grave.

He hasn't seen her since he joined the falcone, he only saw a few pictures of her and that was it, he stayed away from her to protect her.

"You left me too, Rosa, sorry I didn't bring flowers" Sebastian said lowly looking at the tomb.

He couldn't call her mom, he had remembered vividly how she yelled at him never to call her mom again.

He was standing far away while he watched her being buried. only a few people came and he waited till everything was done and everyone had left before he came to her.

"I wanted to see before you died, why didn't you wait" Sebastian said again as he squeezed his palm.

He wanted to cry, he wants tears to roll down his eyes but no matter how much he tried, he can't cry, the tears just won't drop.

He's mother had cancer, she was to die in two weeks time, she found out she had cancer and only had 3 months to live.

She wanted to leave her life normally till she died and it was just two weeks left, Sebastian had promised himself to meet her and talk at least once before she died but that brat had to kill her.

FLASHBACK*

"You joined them? You agreed to join them?" Rosa yelled at the top of her voice, she wanted to hit the boy in front of her.

Sebastian was just 18years old then.

"I had too, he promised to protect you and no one would chase us anymore!" Sebastian yelled back at her and she shook her head in disbelief as tears rolled down her eyes.

"Do you want to end up like your father? You have no idea what I and your father did to leave that organization and now you willingly joined for my protection" Rosa yelled.

"No one is safe when it comes to them, you doing that means your father died for nothing" Rosa yelled loudly as she fell to the ground crying

"Mom" Sebastian tried to talk.

"Don't ever call me mom, don't you dare call me that, get out, I don't want to see you" Rosa yelled pointing her hand towards the door.

Sebastian looked at her, his face was unreadable, he got up and left the room and that was the last time he spoke to her.

He knew his father was killed because he tried to leave the organization but the organization were after him and his mother, they were going to kill them too, the lider gave him an option that would keep them both alive and he had to do it.

END OF FLASHBACK*

"I'm sorry" Sebastian said.

When he found out she has cancer, he wanted to go to her but he couldn't, she didn't want to see him but he promised himself to see her before she died.

"I'm sorry" he said again and left.

DARK ALLEY

"She knows?" A man's voice was heard.

"Yes, because of your incompetence" another voice spoke.

"I didn't know she would come to Mexico, I would have covered it well, am the manger after all" the man said again.

"It dosesn't matter, she's planning to sue you, leave Mexico now and go somewhere far, even if you're caught don't you dare mention me" the other voice spoke.

"Of course" the man said and left the alley.

CLUB, MEXICO 10PM

The place was bubbling with music as the dim light filled the entire place, people where dancing and having the fun of their life like a typical Mexican club.

The club reeked of alcohol, sèx, drugs and weed.

"I was almost killed by a patient and all you could do is bring me to a club" Maria yelled so Isabelle could hear her cause of the loud music

"I brought you here to meet my friends and you agreed to come this morning" Isabelle defended and Maria sighed.

Isabelle dragged her to the VIP section and they met two guys having a drinking competition while there was a girl who was on her phone completely uninterested in the on going competition.

"Hola amigos (hello friends)" Isabelle greeted and they turned their attention to her.

"Isabelle, you're here" one of the guys stood up to hug her but immediately he did he passed out on the floor.

"Hahaha, I won" the other screamed and the other girl rolled her eyes.

Isabelle chuckled.

"Who is the pretty lady?" The guy asked referring to Maria.

"Okay, this is Maria, my friend from Spain" Isabelle started.

"And this is Felipe, Zara and Diego" Isabelle said to Maria while pointing to the guy on the floor.

"Nice to meet you Maria" Felipe smiled warmly while Zara didn't even look up from her phone.

"Say hello to our guest Zara" Felipe reprimanded.

"Hi" Zara said without removing her eyes from her phone.

"She's like that, you'll get used to it" Isabelle said and crossed over Diego going to sit on the couch.

Maria did the same and sat on on the couch.

"So why are you here in Mexico?" Felipe asked Maria.

"Vacation" Isabelle answered and Maria nodded, her eyes on Diego.

"Don't worry about him, he would be fine" Felipe said noticing Maria's gaze.

"Never said I was" Maria said calmly and Felipe chuckled.

Sebastian entered the club and frowned.

He was in his hotel room when a job came in for him, he wanted something to distract him from his mother and killing would do the trick so he decided to do it but he didn't expect the guy to be in a club.

He looked around for the guy he was supposed to kill but he couldn't find him, just some guards, the club was heavily guarded.

It seems his marker was careful.

NOTE : the falcone call's one's victim a marker and when you accept the job you must do it or you would be killed. That's what it means to honor a marker.

He walked around the club but still couldn't find the damn guy, he made his way to the VIP section but was stopped by a guard.

"No one allowed in" said the guard.

Sebastian shot the guard in the stomach and he fell, nobody heard the gun shot cause the music was too loud and Sebastian walked inside, he met a woman using a knife to stab his marker multiple times.

She seemed to noticed his presence so she looked up.

It was Maria stabbing Felipe.
