Chapter Two

Five hours later, we landed in Las Vegas. I could feel the heat already, which left me wondering why I opted for sweats and a hoodie in the first place. There was a limo awaiting our arrival. There always was. It made me feel important and I loved being chauffeured around.

This was our first business trip together, alone. Nathan's right-hand, Jason, and his assistant, Brad were supposed to attend, but they were sent to L.A. at the last second to deal with some manufacturing issues.

We arrived at the Bellagio 15 minutes later. The lobby was packed and I figured it was due to the number of guests staying there for the conference. We bypassed the long line and headed for the private lounge. Nathan was able to check-in there due to his standing with the hotel and the suite which he was staying in.

"Name?" Said the gorgeous Latina girl from behind the desk. She had long dark hair, big, round brown eyes, and full red lips. She was thin and had the perfect amount of makeup. I saw the way she was starring at Nathan. Drinking him in and I knew she was affected by his good looks. Everyone always was.

"Nathan King. I've reserved the Chairman's Suite." Nathan pulled his black American Express out of his wallet and handed it to the girl.

"Ah yes. Nathan, your room is ready for you." She said, her eyes flirting with him.

I watched girls practically throw themselves at him all the time and I had seen him, more than once, take the bait.

"Can she check in here too? I think she's got a suite, also. But she's my guest and it's reserved under my name."

The girl nodded her head and began typing on the keyboard. After a minute of searching, she looked at Nathan, concern in her eyes. "I'm sorry, sir, but I actually don't see any more reservations under your name for our hotel. Could it have been booked under a different name?"

I shook my head when he looked at me. "I know how booking works. I wouldn't have reserved it under my name."

I thought for a second. Did I reserve my room? I couldn't remember. Booking this trip had been so rushed, we had been so busy.

"You know what? I think I might have accidentally forgotten to reserve my room." I said. I cringed waiting to see what he was going to say.

Nathan looked back at the girl. "Are there any more rooms available?"

She shook her head. "I'm sorry sir, but due to the conference, I'm afraid we are at full capacity."

Fuck. What was I going to do?

"My suite has two bedrooms, is that correct?" He asked the woman.

"Yes, there are two master bedrooms on either side of the suite. Each with separate bathrooms." She said.

"Okay, that's fine. Just update my reservation to two guests." He said.

"Are you sure?" I asked him. I had not been expecting that.

"Well, I can't have my assistant staying at a different hotel during an important conference, now can I?" He asked me.
