TEN

Settling my car keys on the table, I walked into my room to have a really long sleep and well from the looks of it by bed seemed to be taking by Carter. I don't know what I'm going to do with him so I just move him to the side of the bed, leaving me space to lay down to sleep.

I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing, instantly ruining my sleep.

Groaning, I use my hands to search for my phone and I pick it without looking at the number and bring it to my ear.

"Good day Lorraine, I'm glad you've come to terms with this engagement, that's good. " A very happy Eriel says through the phone, making all traces of sleep melt away.

Sitting up, I look at a still Carter, then I rub the remaining sleep off my eyes and I reply "yeah so can I know where you got my number?. In fact, never mind, I don't want to know, it isn't my business- but it actually is cause it's kind of my number and my phone- but seriously why'd you call?" I rambled on.

"Well, I called to let you know that in order to make this engagement seem more realistic, you're moving in with Alexander. I already got a house for you two. That's all I have to say" and he hangs up.

What is wrong with these men - Wait, moving in?

Shit!, I'm moving in with Lexis!!. I can't stay one day without him having mood swings like he's on his period or something now I have to move in with him.

Sensing my discomfort I think, Carter wakes up and looks at me in worrying saying "What's wrong you kept moving on the bed"

"I'm leaving" I tell Carter more like I'm reassuring myself.

"What where why?" Carter questions.

"Eriel. Engagement. Lexis" I say expecting Carter to understand but seeing his confused gaze I'm guessing he doesn't. So I explain.

"Oh" he says in understanding.

"But the only thing is when?"

"You didn't ask?"

And in that exact moment as if someone was reading my mind. Brooke entered and asked

"Did you order a bunch of very sexy movers?"

"No why"

"Well because they are um looking for you"

"Oh shit. it's today, I'm leaving today! “I say in realization.

"You're leaving? what do you mean by you're leaving?" She presses. Ignoring the fact that I just cursed.

Being too shocked to speak, Carter does the talking for me.

"Oh shutters, I'm going to have to miss you? " surprise and sadness filling her features.

The door then opened revealing Melia

"Um did anyone order sexy moving dudes over? Because damn are they fine- what's with the gloomy faces?" She asks noticing the thick air in the room.

"Melia, I'm moving in with Lexis" I sigh.

"That's great, you'll get to make your engagement more realistic and-" she stopped realizing how stupid she sounded and what moving in with Lexis means.

"Holy shit, you're leaving, no no no no no" she screams in realization.

"You can't leave, you can't do this, how are you going to cope with you know the nightmares, you know when they come?" She shifts closer, concerned.

"I'll just have to take care of myself and I won't do anything to trigger such" I tried to act boldly to my friends. But I knew they caught my little act but they decided to ignore it and I silently thanked them.

The truth is, I don't know how I'm actually going to cope, I'm too scared of what living with Lexis holds and there's really nothing I can do.

Hugging my friends tight, I walk outside to see Alfred. I greeted me with a small smile and he replies with a sad one.

"Hi again, Miss Stuart, Mr. Eriel said I should supervise the movers with everything so I guess he must have told you right?" He asks and I nod.

"I know how you feel kid, it'll all be fine I promise" he reassures.

"You can um start but I have to pick a few things, that I don't want anyone touching" Walking back to my room with my friends and Alfred tailing behind me. Picking my bag I put all my books and all my photo albums, especially the ones with Leon.

I sigh as the movers begin packing.

This feeling of change is so new and different to me and really, I don't like it. Don't get me wrong, change is something I always look forward to but sometimes it may just not be what you need at that time.

After all the packing, I told Alfred to go with my things and asked him to leave the address with me while I talk to my friends.

"So I'm guessing this is it?" I clasp my hands together.

"Are you dying?" I shake my head "Are you moving out of the country?"

"No"

"So this is not it Chicka, you can visit and we can do the same " Melia reassures.

"And guess what? we go to the same school, so why are you bothering yourself" Brooke sides her.

"And we are just a car drive and a phone call away okay?" Carter smiles putting his hands on my shoulder.

Ah! What have I done to deserve these friends?

"I love you guys so much" I laugh embracing all of them, practically squishing them.

"I love you too" they chorus.

"Hey listen to me, if that Alex of a guy tries anything on you or makes you feel terrible, just give me a call" he warns and I just laugh.

"Okay, I promise to give you a call once I'm settled alright?" I tell them.

"That's fine" Brooke smiles and I hug them all again. I don't want to go.

"Okay Lorrie, you need to get going sooner or later" Melia says

"Oh yes, before my darling fiancé loses his shit" I laugh bitterly as I head downstairs to my car with my friends trailing behind me.

"Don't forget about all our routines okay, you can come over right? " Brooke questions.

"I'm not a prisoner Brooke and I can never forget" I reply already reversing the car out of the driveway.

A series of byes and stay safe is said as I leave, boy am I going to miss my little apartment.

Taking a deep breath, I internally hope for the best with Alex.
