Chapter 6 - She Was In His House

"Where am I? Who's room is this?"

Shanne roamed her eyes around to observe her surroundings. She saw unfamiliar things and even smells a man scent. That mader her heart beat fast. She didn't... slept with someone right? She couldn't remember that she come along with a man last night.

Oh no! Now she remembered what happened. After passing out in the side of the street, a car stopped in front of her. That person might have seen her and brought her here.

But... whos is it?

"You're awake. Fix yourself before going downstairs for breakfast. Your clothes are in the side table."

She immediately look up to the speaker and her jaw dropped after seeing him... As in him! The man she never expected to save her that night!

How could it be? Is it destiny?

"W-What... H-How---" She couldn't even form a sentence.

He sighed and lean his back on the door."I just saw you passed out when I was about to park my car. I have to get something in the your company when an unexpected scenario happened."

She wants to feel the excitement because it's her lover who rescued her but embarrassed at the same time. Thinking that she disturbed him last night makes her feel that she owe him.

There was a part of her that she's thankful for saving her life... and her baby's. But she couldn't understand her feeling right now. Seems like.. she's not feeling any romantic excitement now that he's in front of her.

"S-Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll just go home now. What time is it?" She didn't bother to look at him.

She might not have control on herself and flirt with him. It can't be! She has to show some respect on him now that she's on his house.

"It's 9:00 AM, already. And no, I can't let you go without eating first. Y-You look so... devastated." And with that, he turned his back on her.

She immediately stood up to catch him."Why didn't you wake me up?! It's... Oh God! My work!"

"The doctor said you should leave for days to rest. If that will continue... you will experience bleeding." His voice became serious.

She gasped and stepped back."B-Bleeding? How could---"

"You're pregnant, right? I just knew when I brought you here and consulted a doctor for you. You're a month pregnant now," he cut off her words.

She was stiffened and could no longer talk back. N-Now... he knew. She was so nervous that he will not like her back anymore because of that news. He will continue ignoring her and rejecting her like what he usually do. And this past few days, he just changed a bit and could jam with his friends. He even totally talked to her for sentences he never did before.

Now it's all gone. Back from the top.

"W-Why did you... consulted a doctor? Are you.. worried about me?" She couldn't help but to ask.

She will accept the fact the he saved her but the thing that he consulted a doctor to check her condition, it's not normal anymore. Or it's just that she's the only one thinking that way.

"No. Why would I? I just don't want to owe on someone so I did that," he answered coldly.

Those words felt like knives that hit her chest a millionth times. There's nothing more painful than being rejected face to face. She knew that he's heartless that's why he's not giving attention to anyone. And she, being so fragile, doesn't care about it and continued loving him from afar.

But now, she couldn't help but to feel worthless.

Even if she's hurt by his words deep inside, she still followed what he said and it was to eat before leaving. He owns the house, he let her eat breakfast, and he saved him last night. Three things done by him in just a day.

"Thank you for---"

"Don't say it. You don't owe me anything," he cut off her words again when she was about to go.

Brokenhearted, she went back to the condominium and expected Jelle to be on work. But what made her surprised was when her three friends were inside, probably waiting for her. She was happy at the same time knowing that they really waited for he arrival. They must be worried that much.

"Shanne! Where the fuck did you go last night? Where did you sleep? Who's with you? What happened?" Jelle was like that when she panics.

She smiled lightly."Chill, I'm okay. Can you guys let me sit first?"

"What's with you, huh? We were about to cry after knowing that you got lost! Tell us the details, can you?" Kinnie was really worried.

She sighed."I don't know if you guys will believe me but I suddenly passed out last night outside the company and Zayle saw me. He said he was about to park his car when I collapsed so he brought me on his house."

"And what?! You guys did something?! Shocks! What---"

"It's not that. Your thought is far away from what exactly happened." She sighed again."He consulted a doctor to check me up last night and found out that I'm pregnant."

"What the hell! What did he say about it? We all know that he's heartless as ever! He must've underestimated you!" Windy was overreacting.

She bit her lower lip and played with her fingers."I-I don't know. I hoped so. But when I tried to asked him why did he do that, if he's worried about me. He answered he's not. He did that only because he doesn't want to owe on someone."

"I knew it. I told you to stop expecting something on him. He has no feelings! And you already have your baby.. just focus on it!" Jelle hissed.

That made her think but eventually shook her head."He may be like that, but still, he's the only man I love. I bet you're all aware of that thing."

She was hurt, yes. But it won't stop her from loving Mr. Winston. That's how she loves someone.

She didn't expect her friends to leave on work that day. And Jelle, as her best friend and the leader of their squad, decided for the best. Jelle will leave on work for today and tomorrow to take care of her since she will be off to work for a week. Windy will leave to take the place on Wednesday and Thursday while Kinnie will be on Friday.

And that how her friends love her.

"Didn't Zayle asked you about the baby? Who's the father or what?"

Shanne noticed that Jelle always asks her that. Seems like something's wrong on it and she couldn't define.

She shook her head once again."Meddling on someone's privacy isn't his thing. He rather wants to mind his own business than interfering other's life. Why do you ask?"

"Uh... n-nothing. You know, just trying to find out if he really cared for you," Jelle answered as if she's not sure.

"He just saved me, that's all. He didn't even gave me a motive that he's worried." Shanne shrugged off her shoulders in disappointment.

She was still upset whenever she remembers it. It hurts her, that's how great his impact is towards her. No matter how her friends tried to pray that she will fall for another guy and not him, it won't happen. Her friends supported her always but when it comes to Zayle, they were like a little bit disappointed.

Mr. Winston isn't the type of guy who could appreciate some efforts and give an affection to others. His heart was cold and emotionless.

"Stop thinking about him, can you? Eat that food, think about the baby."

As if on cue, Shanne didn't hesitate and eat the foods Jelle bought for her. They went to the seafood restaurant because that's what she's craving for. A spicy one. It's a hot day but spicy foods is what her tummy's asking for.

She just stopped eating after seeing Zayle outside the glass wall of the restaurant and he's with Drake. He's not on a suit so it only means that he's also off to work. Maybe his cousin influenced him to go outside, a thing that he couldn't decline.

"Jelle! Look who's outside! It must be a double date!" Shanne giggled.

Jelle coughed for a couple of times before looking sideways. Her eyes widened in shock and immediately wiped the side of her lips with a tissue while fixing her bag that fast. Shanne, who's confused, just watched at her actions and raised a brow when her friend stood up.

"Let's go now. We're both full. I forgot we still have to buy groceries," Jelle said out of a sudden.

Her lips parted."W-What? Is it today? I thought it's gonna be tomorrow!"

"Change of mind, Shanne. C'mon, let's be fast!" She pulled her hand gently and quickly get out of the restaurant.

In just a few steps, they encountered them and feels like an electricity when Shanne accidentally bumped on him. As if there's something building up on their body and couldn't stop.
