"Shanne! Your crush---or should I say your lover--will be shown in the TV later. He's going to receive some awards and it's live!" Jelle was so energetic while telling that news to her.
She, who was supposed to do her remaining works at home, immediately went to the living room and opened the TV. When it comes to him, she always get excited. It's just a simple TV production about him but it made her go nuts. He really has that great effect towards her.
"What time is it, Jelle? Just make sure that it haven't started." She glared at her.
There are times that Jelle will make fun of her so she's just making sure of it. She just stuck her tongue out at her friend who's showing her middle finger at her. That was their bond, not minding if someone will see them doing it. Though, they were just inside their condo so there's no worries.
"His genes really says it all. I wish I'm the host so I could also hold his hand," Shanne giggled.
"Duh? Why so weak? If I were you, I'll grab the chance to steal him a kiss." Her friend was really flirt when it comes to this.
She laughed a little."You're really a bitch. I can't do that in front of the crowd."
She was left in the living room while watching the show. Jelle got bored with it since she doesn't have any interest on him and didn't dared to finish watching. The purpose why she watched his show is because to see him and hear his husky voice. She never gets tired of seeing his face all over the internet, magazines, and sometimes in person.
She was totally insane over that CEO.
"There was another report to be done by our company. You will surely freak out if you'll know what is it. Especially you, Shanne." Kinnie just gave her a meaningful look.
She just shrugged her shoulders even though that news gives shiver to her body. She doesn't even know why is she feeling nervous about it.
"Spill it, bitch! I want to know what is it." Windy was used to call them like that so it's no big deal.
Unless it was Laurell. That woman has a sharp mouth.
"Our company will associate with Winston Corporation Management. They will pick those big time journalists to be sent in their company. It was all about the show of Mr. Nhorodien Zayle Winston last night," Kinnie said mischievously.
Shanne's lips parted as of hearing that news from her friend. She did not hesistate to eavesdrop on their conversation about that recruitment of journalists. She badly wants to be one of them.
"Look! Madam Emelda is coming! I bet she will tell us the chosen ones. C'mon, let's listen!" Jelle was so hysterical.
She didn't miss the chance and went to the crowd of journalists for the result. She was kinda disappointed after hearing that WCM only want five of them. How could she get in?! There was no chance of being chosen!
There were already four persons chosen and she wasn't one of them. What made her pissed was when Laurell got the place. Though, it all faded when her name echoed the whole room. It only means that she's in. Shocks! Her name made it!
"Listen, you guys have to made it. We must not bring shame to our company and so as to them," Madam Emelda instructed.
They all happily nodded because of the opportunity they have. Shanne couldn't explain the happiness she's feeling while preparing herself for their transferring. All that was in her mind right now is the willingness to see him.
"But Madam.. Aren't we all aware that Shanne is pregnant? What if something happens and we all get in trouble?" Laurell said dramatically.
She simply rolled her eyes because of her protest."Just admit that you don't want me there so you're brainwashing them. My God, Laurell! You're old enough so think base on your age!"
Anita, Solomon, and Kent tried to contain their laugh to avoid being targeted by Laurell. They just stopped when Madam Emelda handed the guidance handbook and also the folders of their respective topics. However, irritation was still plastered on Laurell's face so Shanne made her face as if winning the crown.
"It's your chance, Shanne Yunalie Moratalla! You can now see the love of your life!" Jelled yelled so she immediately covered her mouth with her hands.
"Lower down your voice. Someone might hear you and say that I'm hallucinating again." She stopped them.
Kinnie giggled."Just be careful with yourself. You know, you're not alone. Take care of the baby too."
She was stunned for a minute."Oh! Is my tummy obvious? What if Zayle will get turned off if he'll knew that I'm pregnant?"
"Oh, geez! Your tummy is still three weeks! How come he would notice it? He didn't even bothered to take a glance on you, how much more on your tummy?" Windy said playfully that made her winced.
It was around 2 PM when they arrived at WCM and all she could feel was the excitement ever since she hears the announcement. Still, she acted so formal because it's not eligible to act informal in front of some professionals. Of course, she respects her lover's place.
"I heard that we'll occupy the office next to Mr. Winston. Oh my gosh! I think I'm gonna pee," Anita laughed in nervousness.
She smiled widely."He may look fierce and serious, still he's so hot. I'm not afraid of him."
"Seriously? You still flirt in that state of yours? Oh God! I knew it! You've wished to come with this project just to see him!" Laurell blamed her as if she killed.
She scoffed."Says the woman who's fantasizing him even more than I am. Duh? Stop fooling around."
"Guys, cut it off. We're here now. Can you just set aside your hatred towards each other for a minute?" It's Solomon to approached them.
As what they've expected, it all started with a simple introduction about themselves and also a brief questionnaire. Though, everything's worth it for Shanne because she finally saw Zayle a.k.a Mr. Winston after the interview. He's wearing his business attire and the sharp eyes that surveyed them.
"Good morning, Sir." Shanne didn't hesitate to greet him with a smile.
He just nodded at her, didn't talk back nor smiled. But still, she was happy because he had noticed her. He talked to his secretary after glancing on us and leaving like an air, not biding goodbye.
Who are they for him to do that? Oh, yeah. Just a journalist. A commoner.
The world was like in favor of her because she was chosen to work with the CEO. It only means that she will going to have connections with him in work. That was a pleasure for her. She considered as one of the luckiest girl in the world.
"I wonder why did Mr. Winston chose you, Shanne. How to be you?" Kent joked.
She jokingly flipped he hair."It's because I have the charisma no one has. I have great impacts to everyone."
"What a confidence you have. You're a certain flirt!" Laurell hissed.
She just chuckled softly and started her work seriously. All those reports that she did was sent to Mr. Winston's email and after that she will do another one. She has to focus intently to her work especially when writing the newspapers to be released tomorrow. It has to be done right or else she will be dead.
"It's break time, Shanne. You can eat snacks with us outside. Set that aside first," Anita invited her.
She just shook her head while still focused on the laptop."You guys can go first. I'll just finish this. I'm almost near."
She didn't hear anything from them so she knew they left already. She sighed in relieved when its finally over and done. A smile was plastered on her face while walking towards Mr. Winston's office. She was told to bring it there after finishing the work given to her.
She inhaled a large amount of air before knocking outside the door. It was just the two of them inside. For the first time in her life, she was given a chance to talk to him with no other people around them.
"This is all what you need, Sir. For more inquires, just send it to my email directly so I could give you further explanations," she said smilingly.
She expected him to nod like what he usually do but what shocked her the most was when he stared at her for minutes. That made her feel uneasy. It was the first time he laid his eyes on her... for that long. She's not even capable of moving, afraid what might he do.
But there's also one thing that stunned her... His question that she doesn't know how to answer.
"Your voice sounds familiar. Did we had a close contact before?" Mr. Winston asked.
She, then, was dumfounded.
