Jihwan; I said placing a hand on his shoulders.
The class has ended and almost everyone has left for the practical class. I was leaving with Debbie when I glanced at Jihwan's side and saw his head bowing on the table, shoulders trembling slightly. I felt something has happened to him, so I excused myself from Debbie and went over to him.
As soon as he heard me, he quickly wiped his tears away and sat up straight.
Boys don't like to show that they are crying and Jihwan was no exception.
You're crying?; I asked.
N-no; he replied.
Yes, you were. Your eyes are swollen and red; I said.
He fell silent. After a few seconds, he said; Actually, I've never been spoken to like this before.
So that's why he was crying! Typical boys' ego problem.
It would've never happened if you had payed a little more attention to your studies; I advised.
I do pay attention, but, the things just go over my mind; he said in a frustrated tone.
I said no more. I could do nothing about that. Maybe ... No, let's not think about it.
Hey; he said, his face suddenly brightening up; Why don't you be my tutor? You are really good in studies, right?
I was exactly afraid of this thing. How did he read my mind?!
Do you want to miss the very first practical class?; said Debbie, poking her head out from the door.
Yes, I'm coming; I said. I quickly hung my bag on the shoulder, and hurried over to Debbie. I never missed a class, neither will I.
Jihwan followed me for the rest of the time like a puppy. Even in the practical class, when Mrs. Choi, another professor, was explaining, he was making little gestures from the other side, to be his tutor. It was funny to see him act like a baby, and I badly wanted to laugh, but couldn't. Mrs. Choi was very strict. I tried my very best to ignore him and succeeded a few times, but he always seeked my attention, again and again.
