Chapter 5

Dominic momentarily gathered his composure, followed by a long sigh, straightening his clothes as he got out of bed.

The moment he opened the door, Roy came charging right in like an angry little beast.

"Una! I told you to ignore those two bitches!"

His beautiful short blonde hair swayed with the movement and his blue eyes were clouded with a mist of water.

And I half sat up and saw my silly self in the mirror -

Mouth open, eyes frozen.

Without waiting for me to respond, Roy pulls me through and heads for the door, shredding nervously as he goes:

"I can't believe you broke up without coming to me first!"

"That Colin is a piece of shit too, thanks to me I rushed over there, and I couldn't even keep the guy, crap!"

And I was on the sidelines, not daring to say a word.

For no reason other than Roy is the sole heir to the group of companies I'm working for now.

He's a notorious Omega cross-dresser in Hampshire.

The blonde hair and blue pupils are even more unique amongst hybrids.

Those who wanted to marry him either for beauty or property.

The long lines could have circled Hampshire hundreds of times.

If it weren't for the fact that he and Colin went to school with each other, I feel like I wouldn't have gotten to know a character like that in a few lifetimes.

"Una, why don't you say something?"

"Ignore me!"

It's good. It's just a little noisy.

Like one of those caged canaries you saw as a child.

"I can't get a word in edgewise if you keep talking ......"

While it's true that I still like Omega, with a guy like Roy, I can't even imagine how devastating it would be to live with him in the future.

"I ......"

Roy choked for a moment, and then, in a half-split second, said indignantly:

"Since you're already single, you're mine."

"Now I'll walk you home to pack your bags and stay at my house when you're done."

"The wedding reception is scheduled for next month on my birthday!"

I was tugged around by Roy and shoved into the car in a haphazard manner.

When Colin and I were an open couple, Roy said he had his eye on me, and I politely declined because I was "partnered".

This is probably the first time Roy's ever been rejected by anyone.

After all, in his star-struck perception from a young age, I should have divorced Colin for him even if I had married him.

So Roy now even more than ever takes it for granted that once I'm single, the only thing holding me back is gone and I'm sure I'll be with him.

So capricious. I'm convinced.

I was pondering how to politely decline again when Roy, beside me, suddenly reached out and wrenched my head away to face him:

"Una, why don't you look happy at all?"

"You're not still thinking about that dead fox Dominic, are you? Or that wild dog Thomas? You're not allowed to think about them!"

"You're mine, you're mine, you're mine!"

Tsk.

So noisy.
