I felt my heart racing as Jacob Lanter entered the room. He was taller than Blake and carried himself with a sense of authority that commanded attention. His hair was jet black, and his piercing blue eyes seemed to stare right into my soul. I felt my mouth go dry as he approached me, his hand outstretched.
"Alina, it's so good to finally meet you," he said, his voice like a warm blanket. "Blake has told me so much about you."
I blushed, feeling a tinge of embarrassment at the thought of Blake discussing me with the Alpha king. "It's nice to meet you too, sir."
"Please, call me Jacob," he said, a faint smile crossing his lips. "We're all friends here."
I nodded slowly, feeling a sense of unease settling in my stomach. I knew Jacob was powerful and had a reputation for being a ladies' man. I didn't want to get caught up in any drama, but I couldn't help feeling drawn to him.
I found myself increasingly drawn to Jacob's charisma and raw power. Whenever he spoke, it was like the world faded away, and I was the only one in the room. Blake seemed to sense my attraction to Jacob and grew increasingly jealous. He kept his arm around my waist, possessively pulling me close.
"Hey, babe," he whispered in my ear. "You're mine, remember? Don't let Jacob get in your head."
I nodded, feeling guilty for betraying Blake's trust. But I couldn't help the way I felt. Jacob was like a magnet, pulling me closer with each passing moment.
The three of us finally found ourselves alone in the courtyard. Jacob was leaning against a tree, his arms crossed over his chest.
"So, Alina, what do you think of our little town?" he asked, a smirk crossing his lips.
"It's beautiful," I said, feeling my heart racing. "The people here are so friendly, and the scenery is stunning."
"I'm glad you think so," he said, his voice dropping low. "But I have a feeling you're not just here for the view."
I blushed, feeling my stomach flip. "What do you mean?"
"You're a beautiful girl, Alina," he said, taking a step closer. "And I can tell you're not satisfied with just being with Blake."
I felt my breath catch in my throat, completely caught off guard by his boldness. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Don't lie to me," he said, his voice like a purr. "I can sense your attraction to me."
I shook my head, trying to deny it. "No, I'm with Blake. I love him."
Jacob chuckled. "Love is such a subjective term, Alina. You can't deny the pull you feel towards me."
I felt myself nodding, unable to resist him any longer. "I do feel something for you, Jacob. But I love Blake too."
He smiled, his eyes sparkling. "Why settle for one when you can have both?"
I felt my heart stop, completely taken aback by his suggestion. "What do you mean?"
"I'm sure Blake wouldn't mind if we shared you," he said, stepping closer. "I won't tell if you won't."
I felt myself nodding, unable to resist the seductive pull of the Alpha king. As he leaned in to kiss me, I knew my world was about to change forever.
I tried to keep my distance from the Alpha King, to remind myself that my loyalty belonged to Blake. But as we spent more time together, something began to stir inside me. Jacob was everything that Blake was not dangerous, mysterious, and powerful. He had a way of looking at me, of touching me, that left me breathless.
Jacob pointed out the various landmarks and pack territories. I listened to him, nodding along, but my mind kept wandering to his alluring presence.
"You're quiet today, Alina," he observed, his voice low and seductive.
I blushed. "Just thinking," I replied, hoping he couldn't tell how attracted I was to him.
"About what?" he asked, stopping to face me.
I hesitated, not wanting to reveal my true thoughts. "Just about the pack, and the different territories we've been visiting," I said, hoping it sounded convincing.
Jacob stepped closer to me, his eyes locking onto mine. "You're a terrible liar, Alina," he said, smirking. "I can see through you."
I swallowed hard, feeling exposed and vulnerable. "I...I don't know what you're talking about," I stammered.
Jacob leaned in, his breath hot against my neck. "Don't be afraid of your desires, Alina," he whispered. "You know that you want me, just as much as I want you."
I felt a jolt of electricity pass between us, and I knew that he was right. I did want him, more than I had ever wanted anything before. But I couldn't betray Blake, not like this.
"We can't do this," I said, pulling away from him. "I belong to Blake, and I can't betray him like this."
Jacob looked at me, a mixture of anger and desire in his eyes. "You belong to yourself, Alina," he said, his voice dark. "Don't let Blake control you like this."
I shook my head, feeling torn between my loyalty and my desires. "I can't," I said, tears starting to form in my eyes. "I can't hurt him like this."
Jacob grabbed my wrist, pulling me closer to him. "I can give you everything that he can't," he said, his voice low and persuasive. "Power, passion, and a life beyond your wildest dreams. Are you willing to throw that all away, just for him?"
I looked at him, and for a moment, I saw everything that he promised me. An exciting, seductive world that I had only ever dreamed of. But then I thought of Blake and all that we had been through together. The love and the trust that we shared. I couldn't betray that, not for anything.
"I'm sorry," I whispered, pulling away from him. "I can't do this."
Jacob looked at me, his eyes dark and angry. "You're making a mistake, Alina," he said, his voice cold. "But it's your mistake to make."
