Chapter 4

"Aaron Reed, do you think I look beautiful?" Kayla asked beside Aaron Reed. After all these years of friendship with Aaron Reed, if she received his praise, Kayla would be very happy.

"Of course, you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen," he said gently, stroking Kayla's hair.

Damn man, damn woman, being so ambiguous in front of us like this, where does that leave my face, David Bell? Doesn't that damn woman know that I'm your man? How could she let another man touch her like that, is she really that naive, or just pretending?

"Wife, can we take photos now?" David Bell forcefully pulled Kayla into his arms, wrapping his big hands tightly around her slender waist, not giving Kayla any chance to escape.

"Aaron Reed, will you help me take them right? You said before you'd take the best wedding photos for me, right?" Kayla looked at Aaron Reed and asked.

"Yes, I'll help you take them. I'll go prepare. I'll make you the most beautiful bride in the world," he said with a smile before leaving.

Kayla, how wonderful would it be if you were my bride? I never thought I'd be taking wedding photos for the woman I love. If I'd known it would end like this, I'd never have been a photographer.

"I don't know what's wrong with Aaron Reed today. He seems a bit strange," Kayla said, looking puzzled at Aaron Reed's back.

So stupid, not realizing such an obvious thing. Ah, foolish, truly foolish.

Aaron Reed found for the first time that he could endure for so long. It seems his endurance is quite strong.

"Let's take a break," Aaron Reed said with a smile. As a photographer, he really couldn't bear to accept the fact that his beloved woman was taking wedding photos with a man who didn't love her.

"What's wrong? We've only taken a few shots," Kayla said angrily.

"I'm a bit tired. I'll get another photographer to help you guys," he said, turning away. He really couldn't bear to watch anymore. He could only endure it this far.

"What's wrong, Aaron Reed?" Kayla asked, holding Aaron Reed's hand.

"Wife, I think he's tired. Don't worry about it," he said, pulling Kayla against the wall, not giving Kayla any chance to resist.

"Don't do this, Aaron Reed is watching," Kayla said embarrassedly. Although she and Aaron Reed were good friends, it was better not to perform so intimately in front of him. She couldn't do this.

"You're my wife, why can't I?" he said, before covering her lips that made his heart race.

Aaron Reed was completely stunned. Didn't that man not love Kayla? What did this mean?

David Bell was also stunned. He just wanted to warn that man, but after kissing this woman's lips, he couldn't control himself. They were so soft, so sweet, like the cotton candy he had as a child, really delicious.

Most surprised of all was Kayla, staring wide-eyed at David Bell. David Bell's enlarged face was right in front of her. What was she going to do now? Should she kiss him back? But she didn't know how. Damn it, why was she so inexperienced? She should have had a boyfriend earlier to learn some technical skills. Now it's too late.

"Alright." Before Kayla could react, he was gone.

Kayla touched her lips, remembering the kiss just now. Her heart was filled with something she couldn't quite name. It seemed her choice was right; this man still had feelings for her. Why else would he kiss her? Thinking this, Kayla felt unexpectedly cheerful.

Their marriage happened so quickly that even Fiona was astonished. But when she saw David Bell, Fiona finally understood why Kayla had married so fast.

"Kayla, nervous?" Natalie Lopez smiled and asked.

"Mom, I'm very nervous. My palms are sweaty," Kayla said, blushing.

"Silly child, no need to be nervous. This is the happiest time of your life," Natalie Lopez said with a smile.

"Mom, I'm fine. Fiona is here with me. You go greet the guests," Kayla said with a smile.

"Alright, Fiona, take good care of Kayla," she said before leaving.

"Kayla, I didn't expect you to marry so quickly. Do you regret it?" Fiona asked, holding Kayla's hand.

"No, don't you know? David Bell is my idol. If I can marry him, why would I regret it?" Kayla said with a smile.

"But this is reality, Kayla. Do you really not regret it? Don't forget what kind of person he is. I'm really worried about you," Fiona said anxiously.

"Fiona, I won't hide it from you. I'm marrying David Bell not just because I love him. My father's company is about to go bankrupt. If I marry David Bell now, the Bell family will cooperate with my father, and his company will have a chance to turn around. I opposed it when my mother first told me, but she said I've grown up and many things are beyond my control. Thinking of how hard my father has worked for us all his life, I really don't want to see him sad. Since the Bell family can help us, why should I give up this opportunity?" Kayla said, holding Fiona's hand.

"Kayla, I hope you'll be happy," Fiona said, hugging Kayla.

You're just like Daisy in that way. I didn't have a reason to take revenge on Daisy for all her faults, but since you're such a scheming woman, don't blame me. Kayla, Daisy, you're both finished. From today on, I'll show you what it's like to be my wife, Kayla. Women are so despicable. Your good days are over.

Just a minute ago, David Bell was truly happy, thinking about having someone so much like Daisy by his side in the future. He was grateful to heaven. Just as he was about to take another look at his bride, he heard this big secret. He really didn't know whether he should be happy or sad. David Bell wasn't someone easy to provoke. Since Kayla had done this, cruelty was about to begin. He would make Kayla realize that if you want to gain something, you still have to pay a price.

"Enough, don't cry. Your makeup will be ruined." Fiona smiled and said.

"Mom, why are you here again?" Kayla asked, puzzled.

"Silly child, there are still some things I haven't told you." Natalie Lopez smiled and said.

"You two talk. I have something to attend to," Fiona said, then left.

"Mom, now that I'm married, please take care of Dad and yourself, okay?" Kayla said with a smile.

"Since you've married someone else, Kayla, be a good daughter-in-law and wife. Always consider the bigger picture. The Bell family is large, and sometimes you may face many grievances. But believe that after the rain, there will be a rainbow. I believe you are the best. Do you understand, Kayla?" Natalie Lopez reminded, knowing that marrying into a wealthy family brings many unexpected challenges.

"Mom, I understand. I will." Since Kayla chose to marry, she would spend her life well with this man, her lifelong partner.

As the wedding march played, Kayla could hardly believe it was all real. But the reality was before her eyes: she was really getting married at just 21.

When David Bell placed the ring on Kayla's finger, his eyes were filled with confusion. Had everything gone wrong? Kayla couldn't understand why David Bell's gaze seemed different, but she assured herself it was just nerves. Everything was going to be beautiful.

Seeing their grandson finally married, the two in the Bell family were relieved, though Madison Garcia was also worried.

"Do you think they should live separately? Will it be too...?" Madison Garcia worriedly asked.

"Mom, don't worry. Didn't you hire a nanny? Nowadays, young people prefer not to live with older generations. You don't need to worry," Charles Bell said with a smile.

"You're right. Look at Kayla. She's really quite beautiful," Madison Garcia exclaimed, admiring Kayla immensely.

"She is beautiful indeed, but..." Charles Bell paused, struck by how much Kayla resembled Daisy. If he hadn't known Daisy so well, he might have thought Kayla was her. There was a reason his son was marrying.

"I know what you're thinking. Since things have progressed like this, we don't need to worry. Let's bless them," Madison Garcia smiled, knowing many things were destined not to cause concern.

Charles Bell agreed upon hearing this. Indeed, everything was already predestined.

The atmosphere at the wedding was delightful, but everyone had different feelings. There was joy, there were tears of emotion, and most of all, there was envy. That a man like David Bell was getting married made many women quietly weep. Harris Kayla was truly fortunate.

Kayla never imagined she would marry a man she had only met twice. She found herself in the bridal car, now in her room, quietly waiting for David Bell. It was her first time, and the thought made Kayla blush. She had never expected to feel so embarrassed.

After waiting a long time without seeing David Bell return, had he gotten drunk?

Well, it might still be early. Besides, this was her first time, and she didn't know what to do. Perhaps she should call Fiona. With this thought, Kayla acted.

"Miss, I just escorted you here, and you're already calling me. Don't you need to enjoy your wedding night?" Fiona asked, perplexed.
