3. The Stalker

I was out on the town with my best friend again. Had my dad been home and I had to ask him to go out, he definitely would have said hell no to the idea after my recent run in with drama. But since my mother is more lenient and actually wants me to enjoy my last year as a teenager, she let me go.

It's not like either of my parents even let me out of sight anyway. There was literally always at least one person in the mafia watching every single move I made and either reporting to dad, or reporting to mom who eventually reported to dad.

Either way, my dad knew where I was and what I was doing 24/7. Even when he was busy working.

I knew we were being followed by someone, but I really didn't care at this point. I was used to it.

"We should get some food," Cami suggested. "My dad took us to this place last night and it was like the best food I've ever eaten in my life."

"What is it?" If it was truly the best, I've probably been there. I got my food addiction from my dad.

"Like Massimo's or something like that."

"Yep yep. I have been there." Like at this point, I would not be surprised if my dad murdered that place's owner so he could claim it as his own. "We should just grab a small snack. I'm actually not that hungry."

"Well this is weird."

Both Camilla and I turned around to face the intruding voice.

"What's up, bunny girl?" Alex asked. He sounded amused, but he looked everything but that.

"You're a fucking stalker, I swear to God," I shouted before taking in the sight of the gang of hood rats he had brought with him. They weren't my type of people. I was used to classy guys and gals in suits and dresses, not ripped up dark jeans, leather jackets, band tee shirts and beat up converse shoes.

I was only slightly scared.

"Soph, what's going on?" Camilla asked. "How do you know them?"

"Is that your girlfriend?" Alex asked, "Didn't know you swung that way. Kind of a shame actually. She's a little too hot

for you."

"Fuck. Yourself. She's my friend." I don't swing that way.

God, I hate him.

I turned to Camilla who was blushing like mad, "I'm leaving," I said.

"I'm coming with you."

I tried to walk past Alex, but he grabbed my arm and pulled me closer to him, "Are we going to have to do this the hard way?" He whispered in my ear, and then pushed me slightly. I was still too close to him for comfort though. So close I could smell the god awful aroma of cigarette smoke on him. "You fucking destroyed my shit and you refuse to compensate me. Thing is, it wasn't even mine. I was doing a job and you caused way too much fucking trouble for me to even want to handle."

"I'm sorry that you ran into me?" I knew this was kind of my fault, but I was not going to go and ask my dad for five hundred dollars so that I could pay this scum bag back. "Don't ever talk to me again, or I'll bring in the big guns."

Lets be serious, my dad probably already knew every single detail about this. He read texts, he asked the people he had following me, and he wasn't an idiot. I'm sure he was just waiting on my say so to end this whole thing.

"The big guns? What? You think I'm scared of your daddy?" He asked in a mocking tone.

Camilla grabbed me and pulled me away before mumbling, "You should be."

---------------------------------------

My dad was still busy working and my mom had gotten hungry but she didn't want to cook anything, so we found

ourselves sitting in the same restaurant that Cami and I were talking about earlier.

We had gotten our food only moments ago and I couldn't have been any happier.

"When's dad gonna be back?" Noëlle asked.

"I don't know. I think it's gonna be awhile though," mom answered before putting some food in her mouth.

A shadow was cast over me and I looked up in horror, having an awful feeling I already knew who was going to be standing there. "Hey, babe. You didn't tell me that you were gonna be here," Alex was standing there.

Babe? WTF? What is he doing?

Did he follow me around everywhere now? 'Cause it was really starting to seem like it.

Mom gave me a weird look, and then looked at Alex like he was crazy, just like she should have, "Who are you?" She asked.

He feigned shock, "Sh-she didn't tell you?" He turned his attention back on me briefly before glancing over everyone and then finally looking at my mom again, "Really? Wow. I'm kinda hurt."

"Who are you?" Alessio asked, sounding an awful lot like my dad at the moment.

"The name's Alex," his hand flew down to under the table, where my leg was, something cold and metallic in feeling pressed against my bare skin, "Well, I should get going."

I looked down to see that he had a knife coming out of the sleeve of his coat, making it almost stealthy. It was just a knife though, so I wasn't too worried.

He made a weird motion with his head, as if signaling for me to follow him out.

He removed the knife before walking away.

"I'm gonna use the restroom," I pushed my chair out and left before mom could send Alessio to watch me or something.

The bathrooms were in the back of the restaurant, but after those was a door that led outside. I pushed it open, praying to god that an alarm wouldn't go off or something, and we were good.

I had only taken a step outside before I was thrown into the brick wall, "Not gonna lie," Alex said, throwing his arms up to be on both sides of my head, "I really thought you were gonna be smarter than that. Why would you follow me?"

My head ached and his annoying question was honestly doing nothing for me, "I want you to leave me the hell alone!" I snapped and tried to push him away from me, but he didn't budge.

A shitty old, black truck came screeching to a halt behind Alex. Two dudes in leather clad bodies jumped out of the truck bed and a girl came out of the cab.

They looked intimidating, but I wasn't too worried just yet.

"So," the girl walked her way to the front of the crowd, just behind Alex. She rested her chin on his shoulder so then we were basically eye to eye. That smokey smell hit me all over again and I wanted to throw up. She had shoulder length choppy brown hair with bangs that covered one of her dark eyes. "This is that mafia dude's daughter?"

actually believed that he didn't know the answer to her question.

I mean, I wasn't necessarily a celebrity, but some people really could put a name to my face.

One of the other guys came up, stared at me for a brief moment before pushing Alex to the slid and throwing something over my face so that I couldn't see anymore. I started to scream bloody murder as my feet left the ground and I was being thrown into what I could only assume was the front of the truck.

"Sophia!" That sounded like Sio, but just as soon as he screamed, the car doors closed and we were quickly moving god knows where.

Should have been a minute earlier little man.
