**DAHLIA'S POV**
Getting to the wedding ground, I walked down the aisle with my mum and stood in front of the priest finally waiting to see the face of the man I was getting married to.
Then an announcement was made as the personal assistant I saw yesterday was the one that came out.
"He couldn't make it to his own wedding so he sent me in his stead." The P. A whispered as he got closer to me.
Gosh!! How insulting! The insolence, if he couldn't make it to his own wedding, how then did he manage to make it out of his mother's womb?
I saw my mum's eyes water as the announcement was made that the groom wasn't present but I had to be brave for this.
I was able to survive the whole wedding procession and finally, it was time to say goodbye to my beautiful super woman.
Tears and hugs from her was enough to make me break down before we were finally separated as I was taken to my husband's house.
As much as I know even as I am married, the only thing I knew was that my husband's name was Mr Vincenzo Loomis.
Well, I got taken to his house...no...no...I'll rephrase that, his mansion because this house if I'm not mistaken was a heaven on earth.
And trust me that I'm not over rating it.
Well, I got into the house and kept goshing over all the beautiful things in the house when i heard someone clear his throat from the stairs.
"Good day, miss Dahlia." The man greeted nonchalantly and descended the stairs.
"Well done." The man said referring to the P. A who I didn't know was behind me all these while.
I just stood rooted at the spot because I wondered who he was and while the whole world seemed to come to stand still when he came down.
"Anytime, Mr Vincenzo." The P. A said and exited the parlour.
Staring at him as he sat on the couch, I felt like getting a voo Doo doll and stabbing it or no .. tearing into limb by limb in his face.
"You're Vincenzo!." I stated and he nodded his head whilst turning on the TV.
Okay, that's it. If he's disrespectful, I'll teach him to show some kind of respect for people.
He had dropped the remote on the top of the table and was concentrating on the TV so was I like some statue.
I felt awkward!!
Out of impulse, I walked over to the table and grabbed the remote. Without stopping to get a rethink or whatever, I turned the TV off.
"What was that for, Miss Dahlia?." He questioned in a hoarse voice as anger was visibly written on his face.
"I don't know maybe you should answer that. You're Vincenzo, the same Vincenzo I was supposed to be getting married to? The same Vincenzo I'm in his house right now and yours acting like I'm invisible. " I yelled and he stared at me for some seconds before sighing.
"If the contract didn't make this clear to you Dahlia then I will, you are invisible to me and everyone else in this house unless when I call on you to perform the only duty you're here for. " He warned and I took a step back in fright.
It's clear, this man is crazy and is a psycho.
"You're just spouting nonsense, I must say Mr Vincenzo. If I'm invisible i get that, but am I supposed to live in the parlour huh?." I yelled and he stared at me strangely for a few seconds before realizing what I was talking about.
Gosh, some people has brains but they prefer not to use it for some reasons best known to them.
Without saying a word as I presumed I had wounded his ego, he grabbed the telephone and punched in a few buttons before placing it on his ears.
"Come to the parlour now." He ordered and placed the receiver back.
Within few seconds, I saw a lady who looked like a maid because of the outfit she was putting on racing down the stairs.
"Take her to the guest room." He ordered and flickered his hands in my direction.
"Alright." She nodded but then turned to face me.
"Oh my goodness, Dahlia?." She screeched and maintained herself immediately after realizing that Vincenzo was staring at her in a confused manner.
"It's me Eva, in flesh and blood. I guess your master has given his orders but I need your help with a few things, my luggages are still at the front door." I said and she nodded in understanding.
She walked to the front door and I followed, as she rolled my box in, I took the second bag and we headed upstairs.
As we got to the room, I spent a few minutes conversing with Eva till she said she had to return to her duty post.
I obliged and she left and I used the alone time for myself to reminisce if I had taken the right decision.
Of course, to save my mum that's the best decision.
That reminds me!
I immediately pulled out my phone and called Monique as she had given me her call contact.
She picked up the phone on the first three rings and our conversation ensued.
"Hello." I called heaving a sigh.
"Hello Dahlia, how was the wedding?." She asked trying to sound casual but I didn't want to be friendly with her."I've finished my part of the contract, I've gotten married to him and I'm currently in his house so please can you send the money for the bills of my mum to my account right now?. " I demanded and she chuckled slightly.
" Sweetheart, we've checked things from our angle and we're not sure we have such amount of money to spare, so sorry to break this to you but we won't be able to pay your mother's bills. " She announced and I felt my whole world crumbling.
I've been played!
