Chapter 6- the plan

A pair of feet tread on the balcony floor. It even walked a bit. He was able to open the door until he successfully entered the room. The room is a bit dark. Only light from the moon serves as light --- to reflect Rini's face that she is sound asleep. He even continued to approach the lone Cyan princess. He sat on the side of the bed. He raised his hand, gently reaching for the girl until his palm landed on one of her cheeks.

He looked sadly at her gentle face. He let out a deep sigh. He looked down at the bedside table. Her eyes narrowed when she saw the necklace. Its stone glows. He did not hesitate to take it and then examined it carefully. He turned his gaze back to Rini. He had no choice but to crawl on the bed. He gently touched its head to lift it and then put the necklace around its neck. He then returned it to its former position.

He parted her runaway hair. He smiled as he continued to watch her sleepy face. "Get well so they won't have to worry about you." his weak promise.

The stone on the necklace glowed spontaneously. He slowly closed his eyes then smiled as if he was breathing easy because the stone worked on the princess. He stayed there for a while before he finally left the room by going through the balcony.

Next he went to was the room where Prince Severassi, Prince Calevi, was. It is currently confined to one of the guest rooms as ordered by Emperor Vencel. Even he couldn’t believe it would lead to this. Calevi was especially accused of allegations that were never made against the Cyan princess.

He opened the portal to the room where Calevi was now. He was unable to go through the door itself because there were two soldiers guarding. So he could do nothing but use the power he had so that he could talk directly to his intended prince. And he did not fail. When he arrived he found Calevi sitting on the wide sofa. Like the Eryndors, nervousness and concern carved into its face. It looked at him when it felt his presence. It stood up in its seat.

"I-you ..." it opened to him in disbelief.

He smiled as he approached it.

"A-what are you doing here?" he asked incredulously. "W-how did you get in here?"

"Of course, I'm fine." he said sarcastically. He rolled his eyes across the room.

It took its gaze away from him. It was replaced by sadness in its eyes. He bowed. "I don't think anything bad will happen to him when I arrive. All I want is to say thank you."

A blank look he bestowed for the prince of Severassi. He sat down on the sofa in front. "Nor can we say what was the reason why he suddenly fainted when he found out you were coming." he shrugged. "All you have to do is wait for him to regain consciousness because he's the only one who can save you."

"That's exactly what you told me when I decided to run away from Severassi." serious but there was still sadness in his voice. "You said, only the princess will be the way for me to get back what I deserve."

"But alas, he still doesn't feel how strong he is."

Calevi was dumbfounded by him. "A-what do you mean?"

He raised an eyebrow. "Don't you know that why the eyes of the soul call him?"

He immediately shook his head. Confused at what it means. "Why?"

He grinned. "Pwes, I won't tell you either. It's hard." he leaned his back on the sofa. "Do you have a plan on how you're going to get yours back, Calevi?"

"I've already made some plans. But before that, I'll talk to Princess Rini first."

I feel like something is dripping on my face. I slowly opened my eyes. The dark sky and the surroundings opened up to me. Huh? Is it raining? I barely moved. I was able to get up. I just found myself on the lawn. My forehead furrowed as I still continued to roll my eyes around. Where am I? Why am I no longer in the Palace?

I stood up then looked at myself first. I opened my mouth because I was wearing a white victorian night gown. It was a bit dirty because I was lying on the muddy and grassy bed I had slept on before. I swallowed and looked around again. Too quiet, except for the sound from the rain. I started walking to coast this place until I realized where I was --- a cemetery. Wait, what am I going to do in this cemetery?

I stopped walking when something caught my attention. A boy facing a tomb. He was alone. He was kneeling in front of that tomb. I stepped closer to him. I'm already behind him. I was about to reach him when my eyes caught what was written on the tomb. Callen Levanadel? Who is that?

I closed my eyes tightly and then my head ached. I see a woman who looks elegant. There was a boy lying on the floor and he was lifeless. A bottle fell to the floor and then broke. While a young Calevi was imprisoned in a dark cold and crowded room.

"Now the first prince is gone. It would be better for me to follow you so that my son will be presented as the next Emperor of Severassi." smiling said the woman in my vision.

Young Severassi has already sustained several bruises and scars. It cries alone. No one supported or offered a shoulder to be her companion whenever she cried alone. But where is his father? Why did he just let this thing go?

I stared with shock in my eyes. I also got up quickly. My chest went up and down. I no longer know what I see.

"Rini?" I heard Vencel's voice at my side.

Shocked I turned to him. I also saw my siblings who could not believe what they saw. "P-papa ... Brothers ..." I called softly to them.

They immediately grabbed me with a hug. A tight hug. I could feel their fear and concern in their hugs.

"I'm so thankful, you're back with us, Rini." Vencel's voice trembled as he spoke those words. He stroked my hair. "If you only knew how much we care about you."

"I-I'm sorry, papa ..." I said softly.

"The important thing is that you are conscious and you will recover, Rini." Raegan smiled. He looks relief.

"Tell me, Rini. Did that Calevi do something bad to you and put you in this?" Eomund's tough question to me. His eyes glazed over.

"Yes indeed, Rini. Just tell me if he did something bad to you, we never hesitate to punish him." Cederic was second.

I calmly shook my head in response. "He didn't do anything bad to me. I was just scared when you found out the truth about why he's here today." my language. I clenched my fist.

"What do you mean, Rini?" Vencel asked.

"I know that he is here to thank me because I helped him from beating him in the area of the poor. He became a victim there. I got the opportunity to help him and take him to the hospital and someone caught up with me. Mama. He intends to make me a victim and almost hurt me ... "

"WHAT ?!" they ejaculate at the same time, they are starting to get angry.

"But, someone helped me. A young man. He managed to kill the mother in front of me and he took me to the courtyard of the Palace."

They both breathed easily.

"In that case, who was the young man who saved my youngest son?" Vencel also stopped when he asked again. "Let me give him a reward for saving you."

I opened my mouth and bowed. "I'm sorry, papa. But I didn't get his name. Instead he left after he took me here."

"If that's what happened, we don't have to worry about anything." smiling Raegan said.

I looked at them again. I opened my mouth. "But ... I hope you will grant me what I ask ..." I said bravely.

"What's that, dear princess? Just tell me and I'll give it to you." smiling Vencel said.

I applied my lips. I looked straight into their eyes. "Can you ... Prince Calevi come here first, even if only temporarily?"

They were both silent at what I said. They seem to be sinking in. Gradually the expression on their faces changed.

"HAAAAAAAAAA ?!"

I leaned myself against the balcony railings. I didn't realize how many times I was tapping my index finger on the concrete railings because I was already looking away. Ever since I woke up, I couldn't get my dream out of my mind. I thought I would only see what the future holds, as well as the past I would discover more. Even more indelible in my mind about what I saw --- the past of Prince Calevi. Now it becomes clear to me why I saw him in the place of the poor being beaten. It also has something to do with what the young man who saved us said that same day.

I bit my lip then closed my eyes tightly. Is it right that I told Vencel that the prince of Severassi should stay here even temporarily? That I should first take him away from the woman who is trying to take his life? But there's more puzzle piece were missing. Where is his father? Why didn't he even save his own son? The first prince? Why did he let the second prince leave their land? Isn't he supposed to protect them?

After all, Calevi’s family relationship is far from the family I’ve lived with. Even though the Eryndors are known for being cruel or heartless I am still fed up with the love they give for me even if we say that my mother is an non -royal person like the ones I hear.

Speaking of, I haven't asked Vencel about my mother. The truth of the matter is that I wanted to know about him when he was still alive. I’m just often not given a chance because as I get older he gets even busier. I would also like to ask Raegan but he is also busy with his Chivalry Order that he himself founded. I also can't ask Eomund and Cederic because I know they weren't naive at the time.

I sighed. I can’t stop myself from thinking even more. Why are there so many secrets in the Palace ?!

I decided to leave the balcony to take a shower. As I stepped into my room I was greeted by a bow of maids. Nesta approached me, she told me that everything was ready for my shower. I went to the bathroom and he helped me take off my clothes. Then I went down to the bath tub. I just quietly soaked in the water as he started to wipe my skin with a white cloth. A maid was busy spraying my hair. I watched myself in the midst of the reflection of the water. I remember, I was four years old when I first saw myself in the mirror. It was there that I realized that my eyes were indeed a different color. I inherited one of my eyes with Vencel’s red eye color. Eh the color violet so? Did I inherit it from my mother?

"Nesta," I sadly call to him.

He barely stopped what he was doing. "What's that, dear princess? Do you need anything else?" he asked me kindly.

I turned to him seriously. I held on tightly to the bath tub. "What does my mother look like?" I asked him directly.

I could see how stunned he was at my question. Okay, I expected that. "M-dear princess ..." was all he could say to me.

I also immediately withdrew my gaze and turned away from him. "Let it go, Nesta. I'm just looking to see if you can answer my question." I'm still recovering. I changed position. I hugged my legs.

He continued wiping my body. "Your mother is not an ordinary woman, Your Majesty." he smiled in response.

I was stunned. I didn’t expect him to be able to answer my question. "He's not ordinary?" I can't believe it again.

He nodded but the smile never left his lips. "If you are interested to know about your mother, why not ask the dear Emperor?"

I was swallowed. Concern replaced my face. "Do you think ... Dad can answer when I ask him this thing?"

He looked straight into my eyes. "I think the dear Emperor will be able to answer that voice of yours, dear princess. And one more thing, you also have the right to know what your true identity is." he suggested not to remove his smile from his lips.

At what he said I couldn't help but smile. Somehow he eased my mood. Somehow what bothers me now has diminished. But before I ask that question of Vencel, I have one more thing to do.

After I took a bath, Nesta dressed me beautifully, cleanly and elegantly. As well as the maids before I even eat lunch. They took me to the Dining Area where Raegan, Eomund and Cederic were already waiting. Without Vencel now, Raegan mentioned to me that we can't keep up with the food because he's currently talking to nobles about politics. It wasn't new to me either so I just let it go.

I placed the table napkin on my lap. I also laid my hands there. We just waited quietly while the maids and butlers put the meals prepared for our siblings. Then we started eating.

We were equally silent while at the table. Only noise from the cutlery could be heard throughout the room. But I was stealing a glimpse of my siblings. I couldn’t concentrate on the roasted chicken in front of me. Hays, I give up!

I slowly let go of the cutlery I was holding. They both looked at me with astonishment.

"Is there a problem, Rini?" Raegan asked in astonishment.

I went too far. "I want to study, just like you." nothing to myself when I say that.

They were both stunned. "What do you want to study, Rini?" smiling Eomund asked me. "We can help you with what you want to know."

"I want to learn what princesses or children of nobles should do." I sat up straight. "Even if I learn how to fight even with magic, I have no problem."

They dropped their jaws at what I said.

"G-you want to learn to fight ...?" Cederic couldn't believe it again. "But didn't you, you fainted when you practiced the sword with the first prince?"

"And one more thing, you haven't completely recovered from that incident, Rini." Raegan was second. "We must first talk to the dear Emperor what is a good decision for you."

"I think I already know the solution so that Rini doesn't get bored." Eomund interrupted the conversation. We looked at him at the same time. We looked anticipated. What is it? "He needs a companion, like a playmate. That will reduce his boredom."

Ha ?!

"Right!" Raegan strongly agreed. "Let me, I will inform the dear Emperor about this matter. I did not realize that you are growing up princess, it is also time for you to meet new faces and be with you."

Huh? Are you serious? Do I really need a playmate? I don't need a royal companion!

**

After we ate lunch I ordered the maids and butlers to prepare food for our guest --- Prince Calevi. I'm worried about whether that one has eaten yet. Even if he is a guest, of course I still have to be hospitable. Also, I haven’t spoken since I woke up from a faint.

I enjoy walking with a waterfall as I walk into the room. I persuaded the maids and butlers to just deliver the food to the Imperial Garden. And at least there he would be comfortable while eating. Raegan also mentioned to me where the prince was staying. Because I have almost memorized the ins and outs of the Palace, it was easy for me to find it.

I stopped opposite the door where he was. Since his house arrest is over, there are no more soldiers guarding him outside. From now on, he will be considered a guest here. A very special guest. A smile flashed on my lips. I knocked three times. I remained standing, I waited for it to open and I was not disappointed. Slowly it opened. I saw how embarrassed the prince of Severassi was to face me. Still hiding behind the door.

I stepped back once then I touched the hem of my skirt then lifted it a little. I saluted him to greet him. "Good afternoon, Prince Calevi of Severassi. I'm here to say that your lunch is ready. Please don't be offended."

I could see how he sighed. "Haa ... S-seriously ---?" he couldn't believe the question.

I waved my palm in the air. "You don't have to worry about that, Prince Calevi. I'm just here to talk to you. I shouldn't have bothered you."

He widened the crack of the door. But because my mischief started again, no one said that I grabbed one of his hands and pulled him to the Imperial Garden. Since I’m running now he’s also running while I’m dragging him. I knew he would reject my offer.

"W-wait ..." his voice trembled when he said that.

But I still overcame deafness in this situation. I didn’t listen to him until we got to the place I was talking about.
