I watched Kaylan sleep, I didn't know what to do and so slept in a rocking chair, and yes, it wasn't comfortable, I survived and struggled till the following morning.

"Get out"

Kaylan shouted In a fit of rage, I woke up rolling my head down to the ground.

He turns and sees that, but as usual, ignored.

I got up and he rode past into the bathroom, the maid who he shouted at looked terrified, I almost felt sorry for him.

Kaylan returns and slapped a pile of clothes on his face, he ducks down and picked each of the clothes up, and left afterward.

At the same time, another maid comes into the room and brought my luggage too, I rushed and grabbed it.

Kaylan sees that and hissed, he Walked out of the room and made sure to slam the door so hard that it affected the other doors.

I got changed into my house wear and rode downstairs, Kaylan and his family were seated at the dining room table having breakfast, Mrs. Anna invited me to join them, I thought Kaylan wouldn't fight it but he didn't alter a single word.

I sat next to him and we all quietly had our breakfast, however, while eating, Kaylan ordered a hot cup of tea, a maid brings it and place it between us, I didn't know the cup was a lot closer to me and without knowing what was about to go down, the hot cup of tea was poured on my skin.

I screamed and got up from my chair, both his parents rushed to my aid, father in law, asked for a towel to be brought out, they did and placed it on the burnt area.

Kaylan didn't bother to look nor say anything, he gets up after finishing his breakfast and walked away without seizing a second glance at me.

Thereafter, mother in law asked me to go up to my room, I was about to step in and as the doors, opened Kaylan was about to walk out.

We bumped into each other, I pulled back a little creating space.

Kaylan rode out but stops staring at my brunt skin.

"Is it painful?"

Kaylan asked.

I raised my head and saw him smirking, why didn't I think? Of cause Kaylan is responsible for what happened, I'm guessing he wasn't bluffing when he swore to make my life a living hell.

"Please excuse me"

I didn't say anything and walked into the room, I slammed the door and I heard him walking away.

I went to the mirror and looked at the scars Kaylan inflicted on me, he's going to pay for this one way or the other.

The same day, mom had phoned me, she and dad were concerned and It wouldn't be nice to keep them more worried.

I lied and made them believe that everything was fine.

Kaylan came to the room and found it untidy, I was busy talking to mom and he walks in sending me some deadly gaze.

"Mom, I'll talk to you later,"

I said and switched off the phone.

"Can you please explain, what's all this?"

Kaylan ordered.

I took a glance around the room seeing nothing wrong, "what are you talking about?", I played dumb.

"Don't you dare play dumb with me Alina, you did all this on purpose"?

He added.

Did it on purpose?

Of cause I did, after all, he purposely burnt my hand at the dining table this morning and now he's getting on furious all because the room is untidy?.

This is just the beginning of my payback.
