Chapter 7

Aviena's POV

"Continue," he said in a cold voice. What is he doing here? I know that it was his brand but he never really shows in a photoshoot. Our eyes met so some staff looked back and forth at the two of us. I just shook my head before facing Tom who tightened his grip on me even more.

“Is he here for you?” he asked me so I laughed. That's impossible. He doesn't even go home. How can he still come here just to visit me? And we're not at that level to go to each other. If it weren't for the contract we're not going to see each other.

I can still feel River looking at me but the shoot is already starting so I just stopped myself from looking back at him. There's also no rule in the contract that we should talk with each other.

Tom brought his face close to mine to talk to me while my eyes were on the camera. I'm very used to Tom because we've been friends for a long time. The two of us are used to this system. The scenarios are often even more intimidating. I'm also comfortable because it doesn't mean anything to the two of us. This is purely for business and work.

"Your ex-fling is looking at me as if he's planning to kill me." I smiled at what Tom said. That's impossible. That's just how often that one's eye is. I don't know about him. He always looks mad but that's his normal face.

I couldn't help but roll my eyes at River when I look at him. I want to see what Tom has been talking about. He was still folding his hands and looking at us fiercely as if just waiting for Tom and me to make a mistake.

"Do it more seductively and look at the camera, Vena," the photographer said. I nodded before doing my work. I put my hands on Tom's shoulders while looking in front of the camera but because River is there, I can't help but look at him. His jaw tightened. It seems that what is being done is wrong because you can see the annoyance on his face.

"One more time." The photographer seems to want it to be perfect, especially since River is here. River does not speak or interfere. His eyes are just serious as he looks at us or should I say at Tom's hand which tightens his grip on me even more. It's normal with Tom, I'm used to him. There was no malice in that.

I couldn't even catch my breath when River and my eyes met.

I was very grateful when the shoot ended. I was immediately attended by my PA, is Tessy.

“Congrats, Vena! You're so gorgeous!” She smiles at me.

"And someone gave this to you, Vena." She handed the fans a large bouquet of flowers so I smiled.

"Thank you, Tessy," I said before looking at the flower.

"My clothes, Tessy."

"Oh, yes!" She even scratched his head and ran out. I just shook my head. Tessy is our neighbor in Cavite. She was still studying but she also wanted to work and have money so I took her as my assistant.

"Do you like it?" Tom asked me as he approached my side. He handed me his t-shirt which I had just worn because Tessy had even taken my clothes from the car.

"Is this from you again?" I asked him.

“Yup! Congrats on your new drama,” he said so I smiled.

“Thank you! You're checking out Auntie's flower shop, huh? ” I laughed at him. Even his family is nice.

“You’re welcome. Do you still have the next shoot? ” he asked.

“I still have one. Don't try to take me anymore because Auntie is waiting for you. You should go. ” I pushed him with a smile so he just laughed and walk away from me. He also came out of the set while still smiling and waving at me. I was the same as him. Gradually the smile disappeared from my lips when I met the ocean-blue eyes.

He was having his talk with some staff but his eyes are on my side. I avoided looking at him. I pretended not to notice.

Just then my waiting Tessy came in.

"I'll just change in the car," I said so she nodded. I went straight as I walked towards them. I passed by River's side. Well, they barricaded themselves in the door despite the vastness of the whole area.

Before I could pass him he touched my waist.

"I drop by to say hi but now you're ignoring me, huh?" I stopped there before looking at him. Does he have dementia? He often doesn't pay attention to me in his house but he's here to say hi to me? Is he kidding me?

"Huh?" I looked at him in disbelief. The people around immediately murmured and shrugged because of what he said. I can't stop blushing because I'm sure people will talk about it again in the next few days. I don't know what he likes but I wish he was not playing with me. I just glared at him. The smirk on his lips was still there.

"Aren't you going to greet me too, Wife?" His voice wasn't that loud but with the amount of staff next to us, it was impossible for them not to hear it especially since their ears seemed to be ringing while looking at River and me. I just gave him a bad look. Why don't we even talk to each other that much but here he is telling me now that we are together in front of a lot of people?

He brought his face closer to mine. It was as if all the hairs on my body were rising when he stopped in my ear.

"You forget now that you're my wife after that guy touched you?" he whispered to me that I'm sure I was the only one who heard. What? What is this idiot saying? Is he losing his mind?

He tightened his grip on my waist even more so I couldn't help but stare at him.

"I would like to invite you all to my wedding." I was completely stunned when he turned his gaze on the staff who almost dropped his jaw because of what he said.

“Y-you're going to be married, Mr. Savellano? ”

“Huh? Why?

"With who?"

I could see the shock in the eyes of the women who had been fantasizing about River before. The man has a strong appeal to anyone so I can’t blame them either.

"To our wedding," I said smiling now. What else would I be the best actress if I don’t use in this situation, right?

Their lips parted as they looked at the two of us as if the announcement we had made seemed unbelievable. I just smiled before shrugging.

I can still feel River's gaze as if he sees my soul.

“Let’s go. I'll bring you to your next shoot. ” I raised an eyebrow at him because of that.

"What's wrong with you?" I wondered question him while still whispering.

"What's wrong with me?"

"Why are you acting like a good husband who's very loyal to his wife?" I was still laughing as I shook my head while looking at him. He ignored the teasing in my voice so I couldn’t help but smirk. I just followed him before we left. I noticed how he looked at my body so I immediately covered it.

"Why are you looking at my body like that?" I wanted to shout it but I chose to calm down and act as if nothing had happened.

"Take off your clothes." My eyes widened. He doesn't usually speak Tagalog but now he's speaking like that.

"What?" I hugged myself even more.

"Pervert!" I strongly promise that he was the only one who heard. He looked at the t-shirt I was wearing as if it was a big deal for him. His face also darkened while looking at me.

Tessy approached us again. He didn’t know how to start talking to me.

“Vena, you can change your clothes first. Let's go straight to the set,” she told me.

“You go first. River will take me. I'll change my clothes in his car,” I said as I just took the clothes from him. Tessy looked at me surprisingly.

"Vena, are you together?" she couldn't stop herself from asking questions so I just smiled and shrugged.

“Expect to see him more often, Tessy. He's my husband,” I said so I could see Tessy's jaw drop. I just laughed softly.

Soon after, Big Sister came and called us. She even talked to River.

"Can I also ride with you?" Big Sister said.

“I'm sorry but can I talk to Aviena privately?” River asks so Big Sister doesn't have a choice but to agree.

I followed him to his car. I'll just change my clothes into a dress so it's not hard to change.

I went in first, I immediately saw him following so I turned to him.

“I’ll change my clothes. Don't tell me you're going to watch me?” I asked him. He shook his head and was about to leave when I spoke again.

“But it’s fine. You probably saw a lot of girls, ”I said with a smile before removing the t-shirt I was wearing. Revealing again my bikini. I can see the anger on his face.

“Do you fucking change clothes in front of guys? What the fuck is wrong with you, Aviena? ” he asked me angrily. I frowned at him. I was just teasing him. He seems like an immediately angry grandpa. I didn't know if I would laugh at the way he looked or just shake my head because of the irritation on his face.

"So what? They can't even touch it? They can just see it. ” I even laughed, which is why his face darkened even more.

He just sat irritably in the shotgun seat. If he looked at his car, it was as if the steering wheel had done something bad to him. I can't help but pout.

"Why are you mad? We are in a hurry and I need to get dressed. ” Is my body ugly and is this how he reacts now? As far as I know, I also have an hourglass body.

Until we got there he was just ignoring me.

“I have a sexy body too! Why do you react like that? ” I ask.

"Who said you're not?" Why does his Tagalog sound so sexy too?
