I could still imagine how we met. For a second, I felt like a main character of a fairy tale story ready to meet her happy ending at the end of the line.
It was so overwhelming and I felt like bursting at any moment. It was like a movie scene that kept on playing inside my head. I couldn't sleep and it was like everything was falling in its right place. Okay, it was an exaggeration, but that is how I feel.
Is this love? I kept on asking myself because I don’t really know. The scene kept on playing inside my head like an old movie. His smile has never left my mind since we met and to tell you, he’s been running in my head for the last few days.
I mean, is this real? I couldn’t even believe everything happened, like, are you kidding me? I’m not complaining, but this is so good to be true that I don’t know how to handle it. Honestly, I’m feeling above the clouds.
“Why are you smiling?” Lyuna asked as she watched me smiling ear to ear while texting. “Is that Gray?”
I bit my lower lip and nodded. I ignored her and continued texting Gray that’s been texting me since he got my number. I woke up everyday waiting for his good morning texts and slept every night waiting for his good night text.
It’s been weeks since we started talking and I felt like I’ve known him for a long time. We easily get along since we have some similarities like when it comes to watching movies and reading as well as writing. He’s also fun to be with and there are no dull moments. I actually couldn’t wait to see him. Unfortunately, we’re both busy, and he lives far from our place, so I guess we'll be seeing each other soon. Well, he’s not asking to see me, so I’ll better wait for it.
“I am so happy for you,” Lyuna added. “Although, be careful. Guard your heart.”
“Yeah. I know,” I told her. “I am just...I couldn’t explain, but so overwhelmed because imagine, I met him. What are the odds?”
“Destiny?” Lyuna teased me. “That’s destiny.”
“Yeah. I believe so.”
“C’mon, let me meet him. I also want to see that guy. I am a fan,” she urged me as she giggled. “Oh my gosh! I felt like reading a love story or it felt like a movie.”
I agreed. Lyuna and I kept on talking about Gray and everything I’ve known about him. He’s working as a Civil Engineer and he’s busy since he’s always staying on site. I want to ask him out, but I am too shy to do the first move. He might think that I am head over heels yet I really am.
I looked at my watch and realized it’s time to go back to our class. Lyuna and I both worked in the same University where she is teaching as an elementary teacher while I am working as an instructor. We usually met during lunch since our building is far from each other.
I walked back to the class and hurriedly ran to the stairs because I didn't want to be late. I always told my students that I don’t want them to be late in my class, so I don't have a reason to be late. Thankfully, I am not late, but I am sweating real hard. Ugh! I hate stairs.
I finished my whole period and went back to the faculty to finish paperworks since it’s already my vacant period until the dismissal. Lyuna was already there talking with some faculty members since she usually spent her time with us rather than in their faculty. We adopted her.
"Will you and Gray meet today?" She asked as she chewed peanuts.
Just hearing Gray’s name makes me smile.
“I don’t know. We’re not talking about it. And, what are you doing here?” I asked, though I already know the answer. She’s already done with her class.
She pouted. “Ugh. I want to see him. Gosh! I can’t wait for your wedding. I am the maid of honor, okay?”
I rolled my eyes though I felt butterflies in my stomach. “Duh. Wedding? We’re not even together yet.”
“You’ll be soon,” she replied.
Just then, one of my colleagues interrupted. “Do you still have class?”
“No. Got a club meeting later. Why?” I told Rayne who sat beside my table. I am the adviser of the Literature Club. “Are you going to join us?”
Rayne is also part of the club although she’s busy with another sports club, so she sometimes can’t come to our meetings, though she helped me with paperworks.
“I’ll facilitate and it’s not like you can go to the meeting. A handsome guy is looking for you outside,” she meaningfully smiled as she dropped her things.
"Huh?" I immediately took my phone.
I read Gray's text and he said he still had a meeting so it was impossible that it’s him. Who else will look for me?
Before I could think, Lyuna suddenly screamed loudly, so I covered her mouth. She removed it and she continued giggling.
“Oh my gosh! It’s him!” She pulled me outside. “I need to see him!”
"Wait, don't pull me, I'm in heels." I said while looking down.
I think she intended to cripple me as she kept on pulling me out of the faculty. Gosh!
She stopped suddenly so I almost bumped on her. I turned in front of us and Lyuna and I both held our breath.
He is wearing a gray shirt, pants then rubber shoes and he looks really cool. I think he would still look good on a rag.
Gosh! Why is Gray so handsome?
He smiled when he saw me. I feel like I'm floating in the clouds, I can't explain my feelings anymore. Well, I could never explain my feelings when I was with him.
I was about to speak when Lyuna suddenly pushed me so I bumped into Gray's chest. I think all the hair on my body stood up because of that.
“Aww. You raping me?" He joked and laughed as he held me. Gosh! The butterflies are killing me. “Just do that later, it's embarrassing because there’s a lot of people.”
I hit him before I could even think of what to say. He is really crazy. I even heard Lyuna laugh. I hid my face down as students started looking at us. Of course, they knew me and ugh! They would probably start teasing us.
I was supposed to stay away from him because I couldn’t breathe when he gently pulled me with a hug. My eyes widened and my heartbeat was really beating so hard. I could smell his perfume.
“Gosh!” Lyuna reacted. “I need a picture.” I heard her say.
“I missed you,” Gray whispered before letting me go. Okay, that’s wow! I am blushing.
“Hello!” He greeted Lyuna with a smile.
“Why are you so handsome?” Lyuna grinned.
“I was born to be,” Gray chuckled.
“Ugh. I felt like I want to rape you. Kidding!”
Gray laughed again. “Nice meeting you, Lyuna. I’ve heard a lot.”
“Yeah. Finally, I’ve met you. Take care of my friend, okay? He’s crazy about you.”
I eyed Lyuna because she might tell everything about Gray, how crazy I am and there’s no way I want Gray to know about it.
“Consider it done,” Gray looked at me. “She’s in good hands.”
“Can you go out early?” He asked. “I want to take you for a date.”
I blushed. “Yeah. I am already done with my class.”
“Good. May I take you home?”
Lyuna giggled and bid her goodbye since she told us she no longer wanted to disturb us. I picked my things, and told my colleagues that I will be going home. Okay, actually, I lied. I can’t go home, but I feel like I want to be naughty sometimes, which I never did when I was studying. Plus, I am already done with my class.
"I thought you had a meeting? What are you doing here?" I asked, surprised.
“The two of us will have a meeting in my house.”
I glared at him and he laughed. He offered to take my bag as we walked out of the university.
“Where are we going?” I asked.
"Where do you want to go?"
"Anywhere?”
"Come on, let's just go to my room.” He grinned.
“What are we going to do?” I eyed him because he’s probably thinking of something fishy. Or maybe I was the one thinking.
“Well, it’s not what you’re thinking, but we can do it if you want.”
“I am thinking about a movie marathon,” I replied.
“Oh,” he chuckled. “I am also thinking of that.”
“Can I hold your hand?” He asked permission as he held out his hands waiting for me.
I smiled and shrugged. “You have to do something for me first.”
“What’s it?”
“Dance?” I suggested.
He smirked. “Call.”
