Chapter 2

Sir Louis' anguished cry echoed through the castle as he fell to the ground, clutching his leg. Harold leapt down from the castle heights, his chest bleeding profusely, and stood triumphant over his vanquished foe. "Farewell, Louis," he sneered, raising his sword for the killing blow.

Before the Jingle Nation warriors could intervene, a swift and deadly strike ended Sir Louis' life. His severed head rolled across the castle floor, a gruesome testament to Harold's brutality. The Jingle Nation's warriors and citizens, witnessing their leader's demise, surrendered en masse to Harold's mercy. They were taken captive, their hopes crushed.

Harold collapsed to the ground, his chest wound throbbing with pain and poison. His loyal warrior, Dimitri, rushed to his side. "Chain and shackle them, then bring them to the Scorpion Nation at once," Harold commanded, his voice weak but resolute. Dimitri nodded, and the Jingle Nation's people were led away in bondage, their freedom lost.

Dimitri supported Harold, helping him onto his horse. With a nod, he dispatched five warriors to escort Harold to the Scorpion Nation for urgent medical attention.

Meanwhile, the Scorpion warriors bound the Jingle Nation citizens with chains and locks, mercilessly killing any who dared resist. The captives were dragged through dark alleys, whipped by their captors as they stumbled towards the Scorpion Nation.

The sound of children's cries, women's screams, and men's grunts of pain filled the air, a haunting echo of the Jingle Nation's defeat and subjugation. The once-peaceful nation was now being torn apart by the brutal forces of conquest.

Robert Louis arrived at Jingle Nation after a two-hour journey, only to find the once-peaceful land reduced to smoldering ruins. Lifeless bodies and charred remains littered the ground, the stench of death and smoke hanging heavy in the air. Stunned and disbelieving, Robert's heart raced as he searched for his father, his mind reeling with the thought of what had transpired.

He sprinted towards the castle, his feet pounding the ground amidst the eerie silence. As he approached the entrance, the central fire illuminated the gruesome scene within. Decapitated and dismembered bodies of warriors lay strewn about, the floor awash with blood, both fresh and congealed.

Frantically, Robert scanned the carnage for any sign of his father, but he was nowhere to be found. With a growing sense of dread, he raced to the base of the castle and discovered the lifeless body of Sir Louis, his head severed and lying beside him. Robert's anguished cry echoed through the castle and into the night, as he cradled his father's lifeless form in his arms, refusing to accept the reality of his loss. "Noooo...!!!" he screamed, his voice shattered by grief.

A cool whirlwind blew into the castle through the windows. Robert looked around to see what was happening. The wind was so strong that it almost lifted the castle from the ground.

" Robert Louis' ' A voice called from nowhere and Louis suddenly lifted his head up.

Are they here to kill him too? Who is that person that knows his name?

"You must set the people of the jingle nation free from slavery. They are held captive in the scorpion nation now by Harold and his warriors. Do not worry about your father, he died as a hero so you must set the people of jingle nation free and protect them. That is your mission. The gods have spoken" The voice echoed through the entire castle and Raymond dropped the body of his father and stood up to look around.

"How am I going to set the people of jingle nation free? I am the only one alive, how am I going to defeat Harold all by myself?" Robert asked, trying not to blaspheme the gods. The gods were here when Harold came with his warriors and took the people of the jingle nation away as slaves. What did they do? They just sat there and watched Harold and his warriors do what they liked. They couldn't even protect his father against Harold, now they want him to go to scorpion nation and set the people of jingle nation free from slavery.

"I am all alone, our warriors are gone, our childrens are gone, our men and women are gone. Who is going to fight along my side?" Robert asked the gods.

"The gods will guide and fight along your side" The gods said and Robert scoffs.

"How am I even sure the gods will guide and fight along with me? Where were the gods when the scorpion nation invaded our nation and colonized us? Were the gods asleep? "

"Do not blaspheme the gods. They know what they are doing" The gods said with a thunderous voice as lightning strikes in the sky with the rumbling of thunder.

"I'm not blaspheming the gods , I'm just saying my thoughts and stating a fact. You can't send me on a suicide mission while you sits here and do nothing. You better get your ass off from that place and save your people" Robert said with a cold, angry and painful voice. He is really angry with the gods for not fulfilling their duties. This is one of the reasons he doesn't like going to the castle for worship and prayers. The gods are dumb and powerless. If they aren't really dumb, they should have seen the attack from Harold and notify the people of jingle nation earlier. Even right in their presence, his father was killed and the citizens of jingle nation were held captive and taken away into slavery.
