MEETING THE DEVIL

An excited Aurora stare at the scenery as the plane land on the ground of Italy.

A while later with her bag pack in hand, Aurora walk out of the airport.

She tried Christopher number for the twelfth time, but he still won't pick.

Should she just deliver the package and leave? Aurora thought as two men in black approach her.

"Welcome to Italy Madam" one of them said as they both did a bow.

Mia already told her that two men will be waiting to escort her but she didn't expect this special treatment when she's just an errand girl.

"We will be escorting you to stone castle, if you will get into the car, we will be on our way, madam" The guy said again, his English faltering a bit.

"Errr, you don't have to be formal. Just like you I am also a worker, feel free to call me by my name " Aurora said.

"Am sorry but I can't do that. You are someone high and I am....low. So I can't call you that" The guy said, urging her to get in.

Aurora got into the car and stayed quiet, starring at the buildings and streets of the city.

When the car entered stone castle premise, Aurora couldn't help but to notice the red roses attach to some of the doors and building.

"Is a marriage taking place?" A smile lit up her face as she ask the guards the question.

She read somewhere that whenever there's a marriage taking place in italy, red roses are attach everywhere since it is a symbol of love.

As soon as the car halt, Aurora was surprise to see more guards waiting and as soon as she got down from the car, they all gave her a bow, saying out loud.

"Welcome Madam"

What exactly is going on? Why are they giving her the queen treatment ? Is it the parcel she have with her?

Just before she left, Mia had warn her not to open the parcel and now, she's regretting that she comply. If she had check it's content then she might have had an idea of who she's delivering it to.

"You are finally here. You look pretty in person, Come with me, I will show you to your room" a lady whom Aurora guess to be in her early sixties said as she pull Aurora into the mansion.

"I don't need a room. I just want to deliver the parcel to Mr Stone...."

"Don't be in a hurry to see Rico, he should have been out there to welcome you, but he's dealing with something. He will be with you soon and my name is Lolita but I prefer you call me Lita, let me take you to your room" Lita said, taking a confuse Aurora upstairs.

While Lita help her unpack, Aurora stood against the window starring outside.

"I saw red roses around. There's a wedding taking place, right? " Aurora ask casually.

"Of course there is. It's your wedding after all" Lita said and that got Aurora starring at her in shock, at the same time, the door open revealing a handsome but scary young man.

"Thank God you are here, Rico. Your fiancee just arrive, isn't she pretty?" Lita ask the intimidating man standing at the entrance, watching her.

" Seems like Dad chose a beautiful bride for me " Rico answer, his eyes twinkling with deep interest.

A beautiful bride? What are they saying? How can she be his bride when she only came to do delivery.

It must be a mistake, they must think her to be someone else.

She better make it clear who she is before things get worse.

"Nanny Lita, can you leave us alone" Rico said to Lita who was still helping Aurora to unpack.

Aurora stare at him to see him looking at her, his eyes never for once leaving her which made her more nervous.

"Make sure you don't wear her out, she just arrive and she needs to eat and freshen up, I will be back in an hour to help her" Lita said.

"An hour will be enough to get acquainted with each other" Rico said and Lita left.

"Why don't you take a seat, Mia. We've got a lot to talk about" Rico said, sitting on the sofa while gesturing for her to sit beside him.

"Did you just call me Mia? I think you've got it mixed up. I am not Mia but Aurora, Aurora Martin. I work at Mia home and she told me to bring something to you since she can't come herself" Aurora said, moving towards the closet to bring out the parcel Mia gave her.

"Here you go. I didn't even open it" Aurora said, handing him the parcel.

Rico watch her in silence before opening the box to reveal a ring.

"So you are saying you are not Mia and that you are Aurora ?" Rico ask.

"Yes" Aurora reply quickly, hoping the issue will be rectified soon.

"Do I look like a fool to you?" Rico query, crossing a leg over the other.

"I don't but you are mistaken here, I am not Mia, how about I prove it to you by showing you my passport and ID" Aurora said taking her bag to search for her ID and passport but they weren't there.

"It was in here a while ago" Aurora mutter, searching her bag endlessly.

"I think it's time you quit the act" Rick said, rising from the sofa.

"This isn't an act. I do mean it when I say I'm not Mia, why don't you call them, call and ask them " Aurora urge, wondering how things got this bad.

"I know you don't want to get married to me, your mother told me you might want to get out of the marriage whatever way you can and right now, you are doing just that" Rico said.

"Why won't you believe me, I am not Mia but Aurora Martin. I am just an errand girl" Aurora said, desperation edge in her voice.

A knock on the door prevented Rico from giving a reply.

"Boss, there's a problem" the man standing by the door inform.

"I will be there soon" Rico reply, and the man left.

Aurora stare in silence as he walk towards her, taking hold of her hand.

She tried to pull free but he tighten his hold, slipping the ring into her finger.

"What are you...."

"It belong to my mother and now it's yours" Rico said still holding onto her hand.

"Haven't you been listening to a thing have been saying. I said I'm not Mia, am not the woman you intend to marry!"

"I know and I don't believe you so why don't you just take your time and think of another lie to tell me, I might just believe that" he said, letting go of her hand to walk towards the door.

He was about opening it when he turn to her.

"But that doesn't mean I will let you leave, whether you like it or not, you are marrying me, Mia" he said leaving the room.

"So? What do you think of your new bride to be?" Jerome who was waiting for Rico outside the room ask.

"What do you think?" Rico return, a smile forming on his face.
