Chapter Four

Giovanni's POV

“You're finally here.” My cousin, Nikolai's, voice made me look in his direction. He was seated with a bunch of nameless women surrounding him but I didn't care one bit. “It wasn't a hassle to have you come all the way here is it?”

He stood up to take my hand which only got ignored as I made my way towards one of the seats to make myself comfortable.

“Aww, come on, bro. It wouldn't hurt to soften up a little bit. You know, I have feelings too.” He pouted as I pulled out a cigarette to light, watching as the ladies around him left the room to give us some privacy.

“So, Giovanni. How are things going?” He asked. “Who knows if things would ever be–”

“Quite favorably.”

“Favorably?” I tilted his head to the side as if not expecting the response I gave to him. “How is it favorable? Didn't you see the documents I sent you about the Ivanovna family and the others starting to make a move in your territory?”

“Sure.”

“Hugo, I am the one in charge of hearing all these investigation reports even if I don't want to. I know how serious this is. If they're able to infiltrate one of the businesses as they intend to, this will–”

“Don't fret over useless things, Nikolai,” I waved him off lightly.

“What about the Scars? You know we haven't been crossed by them even though they operate in our territory. Why take up a case you aren't even going to gain anything from.” he stared at me, leaning over the table as if desperately waiting for an answer from me. “Your requests these days are so unlike you.”

“Really?” picking the glass of alcohol in front of me, I twirled it gently as I watched the ice clink against each other. It's been years since I've come across someone who was scared of me but wouldn't admit it. She was intriguing and even though I could do without an attorney, I wanted an excuse to keep her close.

“But I need to clear them out to tame my pet.”

“...pet?”

Ignoring him, I rose from my seat, adjusting my coat. “I heard Caesar fell.”

“Yup. The fact already spread across the cancer. And besides, he has no successor so–”

“The entire country will soon be in my hands and I crave for the feeling.” I smirked, quite satisfied they are going down one after the other and I am increasing my territory. Once I get my hands on Aspen Smiths, the soils I've been carefully treading on, I can walk solidly on it.

“They're all in the room.” Nikolai hummed, gesturing towards the exit. “Are you seriously going to deal with the six of them tonight?”

I didn't reply to him and just headed towards the suite where three seductively dressed ladies sat, waiting for my presence. “You're here, Don.” The first said, smiling in a flirty way but I didn't care.

“Don, you have a call.”

Taking my seat on one of the sofas in the room, a cigar in my hand, I glanced at the passed out naked ladies on my bed before glancing back at the screen of my phone.

It was my intriguing darling.

“I didn't expect you to call me this early.” I said with a wild smirk on my face. I knew just what to do to get her into my nest and without her saying it, I could already tell what she wanted from me.

“I'll take up your offer. Let's meet.”

The night I first met her, I wasn't even interested in having anything to do with her, but for the first time, I found a woman really attractive enough to make me crave kissing her plump lips. I thought I was going crazy even when I saw them change her and it made me aroused just looking at her.

I just confirmed it now with these women, she made me feel strange and no woman has ever made me feel that way. No woman can do so, I want her close to me, even if I have to slowly tame her.

“I guess I won't be bored anytime soon.” I smirked, picking my shirt to throw it on.

“Are you satisfied with them, Giovanni?” Nikolai asked, leaning against the doorframe, glancing at them before glancing back at me.

“No.” I bluntly replied, walking past him.

“Come on, you've had all my ladies, and you're not satisfied. What are you, a sex crazed beast?” He groaned, walking behind me while ranting.

I don't consider myself a monster even though when it comes to others, I was much more sex crazed than them but no woman is able to satisfy me the way I want. It's not so much to ask for is it? Will Aspen be able to? She looked so fragile and I wondered if I would break her with just one thrust into her.

“Damn…” I groaned out loud, imagining how it would feel.

“Giovanni, are you listening?” Nikolai asked, tailing behind me towards the car.

“Do whatever you have to do and stop disturbing me, Nikolai. Get everything you need to on the Scars. Don't act on it, just get all the information to me before the end of an hour.” I ordered, getting into the passenger's seat of my car.

“Are you serious? Who do you think you are to order me around?” As he said that, I glared back at him, making him take a step back. “Alright, man. But I need more than an hour–”

“An hour or your head.” I warned before George stepped on the pedal, driving out of the place.

“I sent the pass to Miss Aspen already, Don.”

“Good.”

I sat on the balcony, waiting for my guest's arrival. I had asked her to meet me in five minutes and I wondered if she would be early or late. She seems like someone who would do what she wants even in a courtroom.

“I'm here.” Her soft voice said. I looked up at her and the soft whiff of her oceany fragrance flowed into my senses and I just wanted to bury myself into that heavenly scent.

“You're early–”

“Let's get on with this, where's the evidence you said you have?” She said, quite impatient.

“What's the rush, Aspen darling?” I raised a brow, waving the brown folder in my hand before her. “You haven't agreed to my condition. Or does that mean you've accepted?”

“I'll do anything as long as it gets the Scars off my back and you guarantee my safety from everyone else. I might have just worked for a year, but I know how much my influence has spread during that one year of working.” She said seriously, obviously not in the mood to play games but the serious look on her face just turned me on.

‘You've made me a pervert, Aspen.’ I thought with a smile on my face as I looked up at her. “You're willing to do anything? Isn't that a tempting way to put it, Aspen darling?”

She just stared at me with her arms folded across her chest. I could tell she got the extent I was thinking of but she didn't seem fazed at all, it was like she was used to it.

“I’m willing to do anything even if the devil offers the evidence to bring those bastards down. I just need protection after.” She said, holding out her hand while glancing at the folder.

“You really interest me, Aspen Smiths,” I placed the folder on her hand, not letting go.

“Welcome to hell, Aspen.”
