Chapter 8

Ezekiel and I stayed in Rome for only a week. We did all the things normal husband and wife do.

He almost makes love to me everyday. I will wake up in the morning with breakfast in bed and morning sex in bed.

I ... I am enjoying his company and it fears me all the more. I feel more and more deeply and so does he. To think of ... I am not he thinks I am. I will never be Equija.

Slowly he gave it to me, the movement make the snake alert it looked at me and hissed at me it tightened its grip on Ezekiel's foot

"I can't move he's gripping me too tight." I knew he was feeling nervous but remained cool

"Do you trust me Ezekiel?" I asked as I motioned the arrow to point the target.

"I do baby. I trust you my life" I felt an alarm. But I wasn't trust worthy enough.

I focus my attention to the snake now on his hips. It wrapped around his thigh with tightness.

Good thing I am trained to face enemies under pressure and mask my fear with braveness. I am an amazon. My father raised me that way.

When the snake's head move in front of me I quickly released the arrow

Bulls eyes.

It penetrated its head and was planted in the ground. The snake body slowly fell on Ezekiel's feet. I saw the fear and nervousness but all was relieved when he looked at me and hugged me tightly.

"God I thought you gonna plant it in my hips!"

I laughed and slapped him

"Just Kidding wife. Where did you learn that?" There was a deep wrinkle on his forehead

I could no longer cope with the pain. I quickly ran inside the palace. I immediately pack my things while non stop crying. I peeked out the window and sobbed even more. Equija and Ezekiel were still at the garden and they were kissing passionately!

I quickly left the room and I met Pleios.

"Damn princess what happened?" There was concern in her voice.

"I want to go home. Please help me escape."

I held him tightly. He just nodded understandingly and guided me out. On our way to the exit I saw Ezekiel and Equija entering the entrance of the palace. Ezekiel and I met eyes when he looked at the exit gate.

His eyes were cold as he looked at me. And it pained me more when he looked away and enters the palace.

"Thalia! Let's go!"

For the last time I let my heart tear into pieces.
