#####Chapter 5

“ Where have you been, young lady?” mom asks as soon as I get to the living room. She looks so worried, but is she truly my mom? How did they find me? What about my real parents? How did my memory wipe?

“ I am talking to you Melanie.” she snaps.

“ Are you my real mom?” I ask, shocking the living daylights out of her. At that time dad, and Julian walks down the stairs.

“ Are you my real mom?” I ask again.

“ What are you saying Melanie?” mom asks. So it's true her expression says it all, she isn't my real mom.

“ So it's true,” my hand automatically goes to my mouth as tears make their way down my eyes. The way dad, and Julian are looking at me I knew they all knew.

“ You knew, you all knew.” I sob.

“ Melanie, let me explain” Julian says, stepping forward.

“ No, I don't want to listen. How could you keep that from me? How?” I cry so loud, and run out of the house. It is raining cats, and dogs, but I don't care.

I can't believe this, it's not possible all my life was a lie. My family isn't mine.

The rain falls heavily on my skin soaking me from head to toe still I don't care. Walking on the empty dark street kicking pebbles as I think about everything.

I still find it hard to believe. My parents, who are they? They left me and didn't care about me. Send me away because I'm weak. I boil in rage as anger consumes me. I am so angry, how could they?

“HOW COULD THEY DO THIS TO ME?” I yell so loud, and fall to the ground in pain. What is happening to me? My hands looked strange; they grew longer and hairy, looking like that of an animal.

Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

I scream in pure agony as pain drives through me like a thunderstorm. I hear bones cracking, I could feel hairs growing all over my body. It's excruciating. What is happening to me?

Warm embrace. I feel tight arms around me, the pain subsides, and in a twinkle of an eye I am normal again only that I am a crying mess. I struggle to breathe, and when I finally can I look up to see Bion staring at me smiling.

“What just happened?” I ask in daze.

“ You almost had your first shift,” he simply said. I am a bit confused. I thought I was just a vampire and witch or maybe I am more.

“ Shift?”I ask to clear my doubt.

“ I think you are a tribrid. A witch, wolf, and vampire.” he says.

“ How?” my head is spinning.

“ I don't think you should go home. Come with me please I need to watch over you.” he pleads.

“ I leave after school.” I say strictly.

“ Deal?” I ask, bringing my hand forward for a shake.

“ Yes, deal.” he shakes my hand pulling me into a hug. I sigh, and hug him back.

I feel my insides turn to jelly. Jesus christ he feels so good.

“ Let's go.” he says after a while.

I follow him to his car, and he drives us back to his house.

“ Oh hey Bion.” Origen says grinning widely as he stuffs loads of popcorn into his mouth. I walk into the house fully. Macho and Tios are both playing video games.

“ Hi guys.” I wave shyly.

“ Damn, I won!!!!!!!!” Origen yells jumping on the couch laughing loudly as he does.

“What is that about?” I ask, making myself comfortable on one of the couches. I feel so comfortable around them, I feel like I am one of them so I don't need to be edgy around them.

“ Urrrgh, damn not again.” Macho groans, dipping his hands into his wallet, he counts some dollars and gives them to Origen. Tios rolls his eyes and does the same.

“ Never argue with my wisdom.” Origen yells in their faces laughing. Seems they made a bet on something.

“ Actually dragons are quite dumb” Tios says, smirking. Origen rushes towards him, and smacks his head hard.

“ Ouch!!!! That hurts.” Tios yells while Origen sticks his tongue at him.

“ So what is going on guys?” Bion walks in and sits beside me stroking my hair lightly.

I purr like a cat at the feeling of his hands on my hair.

Get it together Melanie.

“ I made a bet with them that she is going to spend the night here, they refused and boom lookie lookie here she is.” Origen says laughing off his ass. I smirk and stand up.

“ Actually I am on my way home now.” I say, putting up a very serious face. Origen's face falls as he dramatically drops to his knees.

“ NOOOO!!!” screaming like a girl.

“ I got you.” I laugh, and sit back down.

“ Don't mind this dummy” Macho says slowly in a whisper, but of course Origen hears, and gives him a hard smack on his head.

“Ahhhhh!!!!” Macho screams, I burst out laughing.

Julian. My mood dampens as I think of my family. What is going to happen to them now? Is this the real reason dad never liked me? Alex as I call him always maltreated me saying he isn't my real father, that is why I always call him step dad.

“ Stop thinking, it won't help” Bion says, jabbing my elbow with his. I sigh and lean into him.

“ Is she coming to school tomorrow?” Macho asks

“Nope”

“Yes” Bion and I say at once

“Why won't I go to school?” I am a bit annoyed.

“ Well you are a vampire that means no sun—---”

“ But I am more than that” I interrupt.

“Yes I know that, but it still doesn't mean you won't roast if you come in contact with direct sunlight” Bion argues back.

“ So how does Tios come to school? He is a vampire too.” I ask curiously. Tios waves his hand, a green ring lies on his index finger. It's glittering.

“ Wow, it's beautiful” I exclaim. It is simple like a band that glows, shining beautifully.

“ Well, that ring enables him to go into the sun.” Macho explains

“ Ooh, so I am getting one of those?” I ask eagerly.

“ Yes I already sent for one, it will be here the day after tomorrow. So that's why you have to stay back. Okay?” Bion says.

“ No, not okay. I can put on a really long hoodie and pants with stocking and shoes that should do” I argue back.

“ Fine, do what you want” Bion growls and walks upstairs. Now what did I do wrong?

“ Come on, I will give you what to wear” Bion yells from upstairs. I stand and quickly run to him.

UNKNOWN GRAVEYARD

“ Let the ritual begin” a dark voice booms.

There were about seven people, their gender unknown, all in dark robes with just a streak of red line running from the head of the robe down. They all stood in a complete circle which in it a star was drawn. The star is known as the devil's mark. Inside a girl is placed naked, and unconscious.

“ The knife,” the voice of the leader resounds in thrill.

A knife is passed to the leader, who in turn slit open his palm pouring his blood into the circle. The lines of the circles start to glow.

“abro la puerta del infierno y sacar lo que quiero” they begin to chant the spell.

“ Louder!!” the leader shouts.

“abro la puerta del infierno y sacar lo que quiero” they screamed it louder.

“abro la puerta del infierno y sacar lo que quiero” on saying it the third time, the girl in the circle begins to scream.

“abro la puerta de infierno y sacar lo que quiero” they repeat the spell as the girl screams increases by ten folds her bones begin cracking. Blood coming out of every hole in her body, her hair growing paler by the second.

“abro la puerta del infierno y sacar lo que quiero” they say the spell again.

This time the circle bursts open taking the girl inside as she screams while a new person comes out.

They all stop the spell with a satisfied grin on their faces.

“ I AM BACK!!!!!!!” the person shouts and begins to laugh.
