North-East Winterville
It was just another cold evening, but darker clouds had assembled in the sky. With the heavy winds and the tiny lightning sparks in the sky, one could tell the storm was coming.
"Dont you think this is a bad idea?" Kyle asked Hitler who seemed to be loving the fact that a storm was coming for reasons best known to him. They had approached the street where Lucia's house was located, they were just three blocks away.
"If my sources are correct, this should be the 14th avenue, and her house should be......" He paused to look at the surroundings for a while.
"Right there" Hitler pointed at a building, surrounded with a fence made of concrete bricks, just three blocks away.
"What about her parents?" Kyle asked again, he was feeling uncomfortable with this idea.
"Dude, can you just stop asking too many questions and go get your girl!" Hitler said, at the top of his voice.
"Okay!" Hitler accompanied Kyle past a few blocks before stopping at a spot, leaving Kyle to walk further alone.
Kyle surveyed the house, it was painted in Orange and white, the concrete fence consisted red and brown bricks. Two cars were packed outside, he stopped in front of the door.
"Here goes....." He summoned up courage and knocked on the door.
The door slid open and the person he saw brightened up his face, or not.
Lucia was about to shut the door when he stopped her.
"Hey, hold on please?"
"What do you have to say? Huh? I'm sorry for bailing out?" Lucia replied bluntly.
"I got caught up with something important, my Big bro got sick, I had to rush him to the hospital" Kyle lied, immediately Lucia's expression changed.
"Oh, I'm so sorry about that, I didn't know!"
"Yeah, it's alright"
"And I'm sorry for what I did earlier today" she apologized.
"What do you say we reschedule?" Kyle asked, and a smile curved round her lips.
"My friend invited me to a club downtown tonight, and I was hoping you could come over too!"
"Well, who am I to say no!" Lucia's broad smiles continued.
"Thanks, for giving me a second chance"
"Yeah, gotta go, before my parents notice I'm missing"
"Bye" he waved as she shut the door carefully.
"How'd it go?" Hitler asked as he saw Kyle approaching him.
"Went well, she gave me another shot" Kyle said amidst laughter.
"That's splendid, then let's go prepare!" Hitler said, pulling him in for a hug.
Just a few meters away, Alan stood on top of a building, watching them as they walked out of the scene together, and a slight frown formed on his face.
"I hope you know what you're doing brother!"
Whoosh!
After the statement, Alan was gone, in the blink of an eye, like he wasn't even there.
The entrance door of Kyle's house slid open as Kyle walked in. He walked into his room and flung his backpack and jacket on the bed and pulled his t-shirt.
A few minutes later in walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower switch. The water that rained down on him was cold, and comforting for a minute, untill it suddenly became hot and the intensity of the heat increased to a certain degree.
He quickly reached for the switch and turned off the shower. He gasped in shock and disbelief as he saw the burns around his skin, and after a few seconds, they completely healed up.
"What the hell!" He muttered to himself.
Suddenly a piercing headache struck him as he held his head down, yelling in pains. He raised up his head and opened his eyes amidst screams, a yellowish faint glow was portrayed in them, and after a few blurry images.
He saw vivid images of dragons, weredragons flying here and there raining chaos and wreaking havoc on the beautiful city of Winterville. He saw Alan, Hitler and his pack, The Vampire clans, and every other supernatural being in Winterville lying lifelessly on the floor.
"No...."
"No.....!"
"Noooooooooooo" Kyle yelled at the top of his voice, and half of his werewolf side showed up, giving out a roar before going back in.
One minute, he was in the bathroom and the next thing, he was sitting in the living room, with Alan.
He was perplexed, what was going on?
'what just happened' he thought.
"You mind telling me what's going on?" Alan asked, with a little bit of concern.
"I saw a vision, I don't know how this is possible because we haven't been seeing visions for a long time!"
"And this time, it felt real!" Kyle explained.
"What did you see?" Alan asked, standing up.
"The weredragons, destroying this city! They killed everyone, all supernaturals in this city, and even you!"
"Then that means, we have to leave!" Alan suggested.
"Leave? Again? Hell no!" Kyle protested.
"Do you want to die? Don't you see running is our only option?"
"It's not brother! It's not, we can choose to stay and fight other than to keep running like cowards" Kyle shot back, this time, raising his voice.
"Don't you see brother, we don't stand a chance against the weredragons, not even our parents did!" Alan tried to convince.
"Well, I'm tired of running, if you wanna run, go on, run along, but I won't, i am not afraid of the weredragons, not anymore!" Kyle shouted.
"But......." Alan tried to say and whoosh!
Kyle was gone in a blur.
He heaved a sigh of relief. As much as he wanted to run, he didn't have a choice. The last time the Veawolf hybrids and the Original Very joined forces to take down the weredragons, it didn't go out well as planned, everything ended in a flop. And they barely escaped with their lives. And now who was his little brother planning on joining forces with? These weak werewolf packs in Winterville or the pathetic vampires? It would've been better if there were witches, that's right, if there were witches in Winterville, he'd find them and try to negotiate, that was the best option.
"Yes, that's what I'll do!" He concluded before speeding out of the house as well.
Southern Winterville.
Lucia and Kyle were both standing with their backs rested on a black vehicle just outside the nightclubbing house. They could hear the banging sounds of the music playing inside the building, Hitler and his pack, Kamilia and Taylor, and some other teenagers in the city, only if they knew Kyle wasn't a teenager, he was thousands of years older than them. Kyle was dressed in his usual black jacket and Jeans outfit accompanied with black boots. Lucia on the other hand was wearing a short purple gown and black heels.
"So, tell me about yourself!" Lucia said, staring into his eyes.
"Well i moved into the city, eight months ago. I live with my elder brother, Alan, he's such a jerk!" Kyle replied.
"What about your parents?" Lucia asked. Kyle paused for a while, not knowing what to say.
"Uhm, they died in a plane crash, years back when we were in California" He lied, in a sad tone.
"I'm deeply sorry about that!" She condoled.
"What about you?"
"Well, my parents are working class people, dad's always travelling out, and we have to move together with him" she explained.
"So you're like migrants?" Kyle joked.
"Yeah" she laughed. Suddenly Kyle's mood changed to a sad one.
"What's wrong? Something bothering you?" Lucia asked with concern.
"Nothing it's just....... What gives one the power to stay strong the most?" Kyle asked, trying to understand something.
"Well, for me I'd say, family, and the people you love! Staying around them keeps me going forward, fearlessly" She replied.
Kyle was impressed, she made him understand the fact that family was the thing that matters the most.
"Well, you are......" He paused to look at her, she was beautiful than ever, her hair was packed to the left side, her lips were absolutely attractive, her dimples when she smiled, everything was just amazing about her. She stared back at him.
"I'm what.....?" She smiled.
"You're part of my life now" He boldy said. She blushed for a while before enclosing the gap between them. He pulled her in for a hug and in the process, their lips collided softly with each other. Lucia was overwhelmed by the kiss as they went in flow, she had never felt so connected with someone like this, was Kyle truly human or a god?
Kyle on the other hand maneuvered his lips into hers, moving his hands to her chest, and sliding his fingers down to her waist. It had been long since he had a bond so strong like this with someone, there was something special about this girl, she was just eighteen but it felt like he'd known her for decades. Never in his entire lifetime, had he fallen deeply in love with someone, every other girl was just a one night stand or a side chick.
"Oh my God" Lucia heard Taylor's voice exclaim. They both stopped kissing and turned to see Taylor and Kamilia watching them closely, with evil grins.
"You jerk!" Kamilia teased.
"Listen, we gotta get out of here!" Kamilia added.
"I think I'll let you girls talk" Kyle said, excusing them. He walked towards the entrance door to the clubbing house. But he could eavesdrop on what they were saying.
"Why are we leaving so soon?"
"I mean we're all having fun" Lucia protested.
"Yeah, I know, but I've got a bad feeling about staying here, and besides it's late already" Kamilia tried to convince her.
Kyle listened closely, there was something really off about Kamilia, but he couldn't figure out what it was.
