I watched as Alpha Sheila nearly choked on her wine, immediately she heard the other lady call me handsome. I could feel my face turning crimson red, I mean all my life I knew I was handsome but this is the first time someone will tell it to my face apart from my mum. It really felt nice.

I watch as the lady stood up from her seat, I must say she's quite beautiful, but maybe not half of my mate

"Why am I even comparing….ewww" I gross at myself

"I'm Maddison" She stretch forth her hands as she stood before me. I wanted to shake the hand but I was afraid, for my mate

"Take this chance, mate doesn't want us at least somebody do" Liam spoke up

"Eden" I smile shaking her hands, and gosh her smile was so contagious

"Ohhh…my I like your dimples" She gosh looking back at others but only got blank stares in return, she wave them off with her hand and turn her attention back to me.

I know it's crazy but for some reason, I feel like I could add a little color to my boring life by being and that's exactly what I'm going to do. I have a short time on earth already but before it elapses I have a lot on my bucket list that I want to fulfill already and until then…..I think time start too thick now for me

"Eden…this is your only chance….." I whispered to myself.

"So….I would like us to go out and catch up with each other, are you in?" She ask with a cute face that's so difficult to turn down and instantly I knew that she's going to be one interesting lady.

"Sure…I mean not like I'm busy" I smile, making sure to avoid the Alpha's glares I'm sure she's boring holes on my body with her glares right now. Sincerely I don't know why she's feeling this way, I mean she chooses Edward over me and still glares at me for agreeing to go out with her friend.

"Tadaaa!! Let's go, my Lamborghini is outside the mansion" She smiled as she gestured for me to hold her hand. I placed my hand on hers and watched as she intertwined our hands. I slowly took a peek at the Alpha, and damn! She was burning in a rage, almost squeezing the glass cup she's holding to shreds.

"Have fun ladies" Maddison giggled and took my hand, walking out in pride and for the first time since I was born I felt wanted.

People wouldn't stop staring at us on seeing us from distance, some even stood still to check if it was really me. I know it's crazy but this time around I told myself to only leave in the moment.

She brought her mouth close to my ear and she whispered

"Ignore their stares" She smile and peck my cheeks which took me by surprise,

We walked out of the mansion, and walked towards where she packed her car,

"Here come on" She smile as she opened the car door for me and without hesitation, I entered and she closed the door. She entered the passenger seat and closed the door as well. I decided to ask the one question that has been bugging me

"Is this a setup?" I frown

"No…no…Eden, why would you think like that?" She blinked innocently

"Why did you take interest in me, you know I'm poor!!!.... I'm nobody, my health issues, so tell me what games are you're playing!?" I nearly yelled at her face making her flinch a little

"I like you is that hard to understand!!" She yelled back breathing in a fast pace

"What about your mate"

"Dead" She replied slowly, I guess I was too harsh

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be harsh"

"No, it's okay…. it's fine," She said with a brightened face

"I love my mate" I suddenly blurted out

"Do you think she will ever give a second glance at you?"

"No, I'm not hoping for anything since I'm used to getting rejected"

"Excuse me, what you say"

"Nothing it's fine"

"So…..are you giving us a chance?"

"I'm sorry I can't offer you anything," I said with my head bowed, I know there is a lot I want to do before I die, but I don't want to rush into things….I have my reasons

"I promise not to pressure you, Eden, we can take it slow right?" She asks with hopeful eyes

"Sure" I smile

"Awww….you're cute" She gushes peppering kisses all over my face, making me burst out in laughter

"Let's goooo!" She screams igniting the car

"This going to be a long ride" I smile

She stopped the car and parked in one of the exclusive eateries where we had a mouth-watering meal. After which we visited the park and lastly was the beach.

She's quite a nice and lively person. For some reason I found myself liking her. We drove back into the mansion. It was already late in the evening as everywhere was already dark.

I found out today, that she's the minister's daughter. She never looked down on me or anything, I was so free with her that you can hardly know the difference in status.

I climbed down from the car and she did so

"Thanks for agreeing to go with to go out with me," She said as she took hold of my two hands not minding the stares people are giving us in the dark

"It's okay you're quite a nice lady" I smile

"Alright, can I have your number?"

"Uh hmmm….." I couldn't answer her, maybe I was ashamed to tell her, I don't have a cellphone

"Ohh….its…fine I understand, don't worry good night we'll see you next time" She smile and stood on her tiptoe kissing my both cheeks

"Thanks for today" I smile

"It's nothing, see you other time

"You too," I said and stood by the side watching her drive off, not before blowing a kiss at me.

With a face filled with a smile, I made to walk to my room when suddenly I felt a pair of eyes on me, I look around to see if anybody is staring at me but saw no one. I have this feeling to walk in but just like a force pulled me back and made me look up, only for me to be met with a sharp piercing gaze of the Alpha, standing up on her balcony

I stood not taking my eyes away from her enchanting face, I watch as she angrily storm off. I sighed withdrawing my stare, as I made my way to my room

I was done bathing and was about to retire to bed when I heard a knock on my door. I opened it to see it's Xander

"Eden hi"

"I'm doing good Xander"

"You still have a lot to gist me about"

"Fuck out bro" I smile pushing him out

"Actually the Alpha…I mean your mate sent for you"

"Why?" I ask as my heart skipped

"Eden she's your mate you got to find out"

"Alright," I muttered while walking out with him.

He followed a different direction as we approached the Alpha's suite. I knocked but got no reply, I was about to knock for the second time when I heard a

"Come in''

I walked in to see the Alpha pacing up and down

Forcefully she turned toward me

" Are you that cheap?" She asks in a cold but angry manner

I didn't reply, instead, I focused my gaze on the bare floor with my hands crossed behind my back.

"I'm fucking asking you a question!!!" She thundered in rage making the walls shake, as glasses shattered on the floor, her eyes changed to several colors making me cower in fear

"I thought you're more reserved, you literally went out with my friend, just how cheap can you be…..!!!!!!"

"You left me with no choice….!" I fired back as tears bream my eyes

"What….?"

"Yes……I know I'm nobody, not even in this lifetime will anybody want me. For the first time in my life someone took interest in me, what do you expect me to do"

"And you think she likes you?" She asks sarcastically

"Listen, Eden, Maddison will throw you away like garbage when she's done with you, at least you ain't half of the people she rolls with

" I will gladly let her use me," I said with a broken heart wiping my tears, her words really broke me

"Are you that cheap"

I smile out tears and nod my head in agreement

"You wouldn't know how it feels until you walk in my shoes, goodnight," I said and turned my back, walking away from her.
