Chapter eight ( He's in trouble )

I opened my eyes and saw myself laying in a different room. This bed is comfier than mine and this room feels so good on my skin, I look at my right still feeling weak to see an old man in a doctor's garment standing close to me.

I wanted to ask what happened when I saw Alpha Sheila standing meters away from me, with Edward by his side.

''Must you be a disgrace wherever you go!!!" The Alpha thundered making my heart skip. I looked at the doctor and he waved his head in pity.

I felt so out of place, so I sat up on the bed, "What happened?" I ask no one in with my gaze bowled down, tears stream down my eyes. I know I can't remember what happened, each time that happens to me I end up remembering nothing when I wake up, I wonder what I must have done this time.

"Heck! don't tell me you remember nothing!!" The Alpha screamed at me furiously making me cower back in fear, more tears stream down my eyes, I already hate my pity state, my chest tighten watching my mate glare at me with nothing but disgust

"Is his sickness infectious?" I heard Edward asking, but I didn't bother to raise my head up.

"No, it's not"

"Hmmm….that's a relief" Edward sighed

"But….."

"But….what?" Alpha Sheila interrupted the doctor

"We Need to save his life," The doctor said, my head snap up immediately, I look him in the eye dreading he might spit out my life's most little secrete

"Please don't say it…….." I pleaded to him with my eye gesture praying he understood my point.

I guess he understood me, cause he blink his eyes at me in an assuring manner

"Speak up!" The Alpha said coming closer toward us

"His sickness has no cure"

"What???" The Alpha ask looking shocked, for a blink, I saw her eyes flick colors but they changed back to their normal colors immediately

"What do you mean?" Alpha Sheila further inquired.

"Your majesty his sickness is rare and if he must live, there is only one way"

I wasn't shocked, I mean I've battled with this illness all my life, and right now I know I have a short time to live, I was only surprised because I never knew there is a way for me to live again, hopes filled my heart, hopes of been given another chance hopes that I can live like every normal wolf even if I'm an Omega.

"What way?" The Alpha asked, staring at me with no expression.

"He needs to mate and mark his mate, only then will his sickness be alleviated"

"What does his sickness have to do with mating?" The Alpha asks dreadfully, walking toward the doctor.

"Your highness it's a sickness since his birth, meaning the moon goddess made him that way, and if he is to be cured, it will be through his mate. This is destiny, your majesty... it's already his fate"

"Then Eden Rastol you better get ready to die, cause I Alpha Sheila will have nothing to share with a curse like you, get out of this guest room before I'm back!!! Haaaaa….." She screamed and stormed off.

I watch Edward smile in triumph as he walked toward me with an evil glint in his eyes, he came close to me and looked at the doctor before bending towards my ear level and he whispered

"You better die!! You're nothing but a living corpse"

He straighten up and patted my shoulder

"Get well" He smirks before walking after the Alpha.

I lowered my gaze, as I allowed my tears to wet my hands

"I'm I a living corpse?" I ask myself, I was still in tears when I felt a hand on my shoulders, I look up immediately to see the doctor sitting beside me on the bed

"You know crying wouldn't solve your problems right," He ask looking at me

"Why are you acting like you care?"

"I do and if I don't I wouldn't be here," He said shrugging his shoulders

"I'm helpless"

"Yet! She's your mate" He interrupted

"She's way above my league"

''The goddesses have their ways"

"But I feel so out of place, I'm a poor homeless omega, with a lifetime illness, while She's the Supreme Alpha"

"Yet! She's your mate" He insisted

"You don't get it," I said feeling tired of everything,

"When there is no opportunity, look by your right, there is a window of hope"

"What do you mean?"

"Listen Eden when things don't go according to how we want them to...we make them happen, you have to make it happen...you're are born for a reason, the Alpha not being able to kill you means that you have a mission a destiny to fulfill and until then….you ain't dying"

I watch as he stood up

"Remember my words Eden….make it happen"

I retired to my room after the doctor left and since then...I've been reminiscing on what he told me, "Make it happen" How do I do that? Where do I even start?

I was still in thought when a knock at the door startled my thoughts, I walk towards the door to see Xander

"How are you doing buddy?"

"Getting better" I smile

"Alright, just want to check on you"

"Thanks"

"Tell me whenever you need someone to talk to.."

"I appreciate Xander"

"You're welcome," He said before leaving.

I sighed and looked at the time, it was already late in the night, and yet! I don't feel sleepy, guess I had a lot on my mind.

I step outside closing my door as I decide to take a stroll maybe to help clear my mind, I was walking along the Alpha's chamber, I don't know but I suddenly want to see her, I felt the urge pulling me to her, I wanted to resist but the urge is so strong for me to even resist.

Out of my own accord, I started walking towards the Alpha's chamber. I made to walk past her suite but I heard faint whimpers. With shaky hands, I pulled the door open and entered, but I froze on the spot seeing the Alpha naked.

I was confused, but I mustered courage and took slow strides toward her. She smelled of alcohol, making me wonder why she has to take one when she cannot even handle it.

I took the duvet and made close her nakedness, I wanted to leave when she suddenly held onto my hands

"Please don't leave" She muttered in a drunken state,

"Alpha I can't stay here," I said and made to go but she forcefully pulled me down, making me fall on top of her.

"Love me, make love to me" She whispered drunkenly licking her lower lips,

"Damn!" I groan and closed my eyes

"Please….." She drawled sleepily.

"You need to sleep," I said, patting her gently, not believing, the Alpha can be like this.

"Don't leave me…."

"I won't " I promised and watched her fall asleep while sitting beside her.

"What the hell is this!!!!!?" I heard a scream, and I stood immediately to see the Alpha burning with rage as she covered herself with the duvet

I look out of the window to see it's morning already, I must have slept off watching over her

"Alpha it's not what you think" I pleaded

"How dare you take advantage of me, how dare you!!!!!"

"What is happening here?" Edward burst in through the door

"How dare you….good for nothing low life?" He screamed and made to advance towards me when the Alpha stopped him

I watched as the Alpha took slow, predatory steps toward me. I stood my ground. I wasn't fearless, but I knew I'm innocent. She stopped before me

"Are you that desperate, how much of a low life are you"

I couldn't speak, because even if I did, it would be useless. Nobody will believe me, but regardless I had to

"I had no bad intentions, I did nothing as you accused me of, I won't explain myself... it's not as you would believe me," I said with my gaze lowered to the ground

"Then how do you explain waking up on my bed with me naked!!!!!!! Guards take him and…….lock him up"
