Chapter 5

"Daddy!" Reigns opened his arms to the little angel who shouted his name and let her embrace him. This is what he had missed so much.

For years, he had thought he could leave without them. Without his family around him but it was a fail. He missed them everyday and his visit to Kenya didn't help one bit. He wanted them around him. He wanted to get home knowing that his family waited for him. His.

Reigns rubbed his daughters back and smiled even more. Those little arms of hers were his home.

"How was your day, cupcake?" He asked pulling away from the hug.

Gabriella looked at him all smiley. "It was amazing daddy," the smile never went away. "I made a friend today at school."

Reigns looked more interested now. He was happy to hear that his daughter was adopting to the new place. It was still new to the kids and his wife despite them being there for two months now. And every time his kids said they made friends, he knew that they were moving on with life. And why couldn't he be happy?

"That's great cupcake," He said carrying her along with him. They're still at the door way. "So what's her name?"

"Daddy, it's his name."

And he was worried now. Since the day the kids began their school, Gabriella has been making male friends. Wasn't that something to worry about? She had her twin brother and other three or four boys before the new one came along. Now they're either four or five boy friends in her list.

"And why a he again, princess?" He asked as he set her on the couch. The others hadn't come to greet him yet. "I thought we agreed that the next friend you make will be a girl, princessa."

And he was talking the truth. They had spoken about that few days ago but it seemed to get from one ear and coming out from the other. Maybe it was about that time he had a serious talk with May about their daughter and a boy friends. Was it even healthy?

"I know daddy, but he is a new comer in our school and he had no friend to talk to." She tried to explain to him. "Besides, he is one grade ahead of me."

And you think he shouldn't be worried? Was it even normal? Reigns rubbed his face with his hands and smiled at his daughter.

"Okay cupcake." His smile widen, " so what's his name?"

"It's..."

"Daddy," Gabriel came running to him. He ran into his opened arms and Reigns did what he had done with his daughter before. "How was your day?"

"Better that now I've seen you two angels." He looked up at Rafael who smiles politely at him. "What were you doing?"

Gabriel pulled away from his Dad. "I was finishing my project." Gabriel explained sitting himself on the couch. "Rafael help me."

"He sure did."

Reigns watched the kid blush as he took the single seat from them. Since Rafael began to babysit his kids, he had no complain about him. He was a hardworking young man despite him still studying. One month and he had stolen the heart of his family, including him. And that's why he had sponsored the kid through his studies. Yes, he was paying his school fees and so far he had no regrets.

"Thanks Raf." He thanked the young man as the kids got into a conversation.

"It's my job Sir." Rafael said to him. He had asked Rafael not to call him Sir but the young man could not bring himself not to call him that. So he just let it be.

"Daddy, I met a new friend today."

"And he happens to be one grade ahead of you." Reigns said. Of course it had to be the same one that Gabriella was talking about. They shared friends. Even in Kenya. And not only friends. They shared many things in common.

"So that we're clear, I met him first."

It was Gabriella who said that. At times, Reigns wondered if this kids were five years old. They acted like grown ups. Teenagers to be specific.

Reigns heard Gabriel groan. "But at the end of the day, he is our friend."

"Whatever." Gabriella said. "He has this beautiful hazel eyes daddy."

"And you happen to already know about the colour of eyes." Reigns said moving to get up.

"Daddy," They all called him in sequence when he was about to excuse himself. He turned to look at them. "Aren't you forgetting something?" It was Gabriella who asked.

Reigns looked confused and tried to think what he would be forgetting. He had asked them about their day. Gabriel had finished his project a day late before his twin. What else was he forgetting?

"What?" He asked innocently. "I'm going to your momma."

At least he thought that's what he forgot.

"I told you he would forget, my money, Gabi."

Great. Now his kid were betting on him. Gabriella pulled a dollar from her jeans shorts and handed it to her twin. She looked disappointed and if there was something he hated to see is disappointment on his kid face.

"It's movie night daddy." His daughter said rubbing her hands on her face as he had done just minutes ago.

And then he remembered. It's not like he had forgotten but the talk with his daughter had him forget for a while. "I'm so sorry cupcake." He leaned to hold her cheeks. "I hadn't forgotten about it." He tried to explain. "I still do remember it that time I call for ice cream inn to deliver your favourite since I know there is none at the fridge."

Reigns turned to Rafael and asked his to make the call. And Rafael excused himself, Reigns kissed his kids before excusing himself after asking them to pick up the animation that they wanted to watch. It was always like that. The kids would pick the animation to watch while the adults picked up the movie.

Reigns walked to that one room that he was sure he would find his wife. His and no one else. That thought brought a smile on his face as he opened the door to the room. He watched her as she worked skilled on her piece. She looked so beautiful even with her hair at mess. Reigns watched as May rubbed her palm to wipe away the sweat that was running down his wife's. She cut the born using the machine still not aware of his presence.

Reigns leaned against the door and thought as he watched the mother of his kids work. He thought of how things would have been different almost six years ago if he had given her to her husband. Would she be remembering now? Would he have survived all those years without her in his life? Chris was strong something that he was sure he wasn't. He wasn't as strong as him. And that's why he was about to...

"How long have you been standing there?" His wife cut through his thoughts.

He pulled away from the door and walked to her. "Hey love." He pecked her lips. "I can see you're still working."

Reigns watched as May smiled at him. "Yeah, but I'm done for today." She pushed her lose hair from her face. "I need a bath before we go to the movies."

He didn't need to be told anymore. Reigns pulled May away from the room and upstairs they went. Inside their bedroom, Reigns loosen his tie and May got in the shower. Once done, Reigns walked inside the bathroom and wrapped his hands around his wife. She stiffen and he smiled on her neck kissing her.

"What are you doing?" May asked holding back a moan.

"Joining my wife in a shower so that we can be quick." GE turned her around and held her closer to him. They were skin to skin and that's what he always wanted. To have her near him. To have May as his forever. And he held his lips with her. The kiss was supposed to be short and innocent but it turned into lust.

His tongue slide into hers and they fought for dominance. May loved to be in control and he loved to give her a hard time. He smiled in their kiss when he felt the frustration from the kiss. He held the back of her thigh and she jumped onto him wrapping her legs around his waist. This wasn't going as he wanted it to. His kids and Raf were waiting down stairs for them. When Reigns broke the kiss so that they can breath, May attached his neck.

"May..." He moaned when she kissed that sensitive part of his neck. Of course she knew his weakness. "A... as much I want this, we've to shower and join the rest."

"Mmm... How about you kiss me first?"

And he did. Once they were done with their shower, Reigns took May's hand and they walked to the theatre room.

"Hey, why are you arguing?" May asked when the found the two kids on heated argument.

"Gab wants to watch Sing and I want to watch Frozen two."

"But we've already watches Frozen two and it's boring."

"And how many times have we watched Sing?"

"More than I can remember." Gabriella said.

"And we're not watching Frozen two, Gabi."

"And why not?"

"Because it's boring," Gabriel answered. "I would rather watch one than two."

"You're so mean."

"How about we watch Ugly Birds two?" May asked as she tried to solve the argument.

"I agree with your momma."

"Me too." Rafael said looking a bit relieved. The kids must have been on his head a moment ago.

"Okay," The twins said in union.

Once they were all settled and the animation began, Reigns leaned to his wife and whispered, "I don't know how you do it." And he pecked her cheek as he concentrated on the big screen in front of him.

Once the animation was over, no one was in the mood for watching a movie. Reigns and May tucked in the twins and told them a story before they fell asleep.

"I was thinking." May said when they got in their bedroom.

Reigns took of his T-shirt then pants remaining with his briefs. "About?" He asked getting in the covers.

May got on the bed and leaned towards him. She pecked his lips, "how about we continue what we started in the bathroom?"

Reigns smiled at that thought. "But I thought you're tired?" He said and May was on top of him.

She began kissing his neck as she did in the bathroom. "How about I show you how tired I am?" She whispered on his ears and trailed the kisses down his naked chest. Her hands moved lower and lower to his v shaped. And before she could go any further, he held her hands.

And he was hovering over her. "How about I show you how to smile, love?"

And he took her lips with his.
