Tittle: The collectors

**Selena's POV**

I headed back home after helping the juvenile kid. They had tried bullying him and would have done worse if i didn't intervene.

Reaching home, I met the person I really didn't want to meet again. It was my landlord and he seemed quite intrigued to see me this night. “oh, have you been fine Selene? I was quite worried.” He asked as I walked in.

The expression on his face said otherwise but I found no need to pointing that out. “Yeah, I am absolutely fine. Just got in some troubles but it's all good now.” I replied with a nod.

He smiled broadly and walked to me. “Just in case you're still seeing money has a burden, I already offer you the best option to resort to for now.” He said, With a mischievous and creepy smile.

“No, thank you for the offer. but I'll stick to working for the money I already told you I'm done offering my body as rent.” I said and walked away with anger.

I reached my door and opened it angrily. Shifting has drained so much strength from me but I was just too scared to stop running from the wolves.

“Why do I have to come home everyday to meet this stupid thing. He would never back down from trying to get me and it's just so annoying. I pray I do not loose my mind and kill him one day.” I said to myself.

After taking my bath and preparing, it was finally time to eat. I prepared a meal and was about eating when I heard a knock on the door.

I stared at the door for a while, wondering who much have decided to show up this time. It surely wasn't Austin's men this time, they would not come to my house just yet...

Reluctantly, I stood up and walked to the door. “This better be someone I can cope with this evening.” I said and slowly pulled the door open.

Opening the door, I realized it would have been better if it were Alpha Austin's men or anyone else entirely. “What the hell do you people want again this time?” I asked, with my voice shivering in fear.

I was on my doorstep, staring at the three vampires again that do come to collect Money Everytime my mother increased her loans.

One of them stared at me and shook his head. “What the fuck do you mean by that? You know why we're here and we'll advise you not to keep us waiting for too long!” He said Sternly.

I gulped and turned back in. After searching thoroughly, I came back with all the money I had on me and handed it to them.

They quickly collected and went through the Money. “This is all you have?” One of them asked, with a frown.

“Yes, I do not have more than this in my house. Couldn't save much this time, as I didn't know you were going to come anytime soon.” I replied.

He shook his head in disgust and turned to leave. Without saying anything else, they all left my doorway and I heaved a sigh of relief.

I was finally at ease after they left. “I think that should be all for today. There's nothing to be worried about anymore now.” I said and went back in to continue eating.

The vampires had always come to collect money and would always just be aggressive. But today, they weren't and it quite surprised me.

After they left, I went back in to continue what I left behind.

The next day, I headed to work very early. Reaching the bar, there were only few workers around at first. I went on with my job and cleaned every.

It was a long day as I worked tirelessly for so long. The bar was filled with so many people and the noise was loud as usual.

I was on the a table, resting when two men walked to me. Sniffing their scent, I could already tell that they're wolves. “ Who in the world are these people this time?” I thought as I stared at them with fear.

“Can we seat?” one of them asked. They didn't wait for response before taking their seats willingly. I stared at them I silence and waiting for them to start talking.

He cleared his throat and started. “Alpha Austin sent us, he wants you to come with us.” The man said.

My heart throbbed in fear on hearing they were from Alpha Austin again. “What could he probably want from me again this time, he already rejected me and is now chasing after me again? It all just doesn't make any sense to me!” I thought to my self.

The man snapped his fingers and I jolted back to my senses. “Stay with us. I said we're here to take you away. Willingly or unwillingly.” He said menacingly.

I gulped and slowly stood up. “Take your leave now or I'll be forced to scream for help.” I said with my voice shivering in fear.

“I see that's what you chose.” He said and stared at his colleague. Without saying anything else, they stood up and left the bar.

It was quite surprising to see them leave after they've threatened me so much. My thoughts were that they'd resort to forcing me to leave with them as they had attempted something similar in the forest.

My mind was finally at ease afterwards they left. “Who were those men?” A voice asked. I turned around to see it was one of my co-workers.

“Oh, it's nothing. They were just strangers that needed answers to some questions. I provided them with all the ones I could and they left afterwards.” I said with a broad smile.

After a long day, I could finally return home to rest. “Now I'll have to return to this landlord again. How am I going to convince him to let me keep on staying without paying. There is absolutely no way I'll pay with sex anymore!” I said to myself.
