Rust-2020
A sunny day in the town of Rust, makes residents start their day in a great mood. In the city center, businesses begin their productive days. Beginning of the year and close to the summer holidays, the city is getting ready to receive its tourists.
Tourists obsessed with horror stories of the city of Rust carries.
In a grocery store not far from the city center is Margaret. With a party in hand, she goes shopping for herbs and everything she needs to stay home for the next two weeks.
A few days ago, his necklace given by Sara, his aunt, has been showing him a heavy black mist arriving in Rust. And she deep down doesn't want to believe it, but she has a sense of what it's all about.
- Margaret? - the teenager's voice calls for her making her take her attention away from some herbs.
"Hi Malcon." She smiled and went to the counter. "How are you?"
- Well .- he smiles - Came to stock up? - he asks tidying the cash box of the small establishment.
- Yes. I feel that I will receive visitors for the next few days.- She looks at a shelf that had some vegetables and puts them in the basket.
"You and your feelings." He shakes his head in negative smiling. He couldn't understand. He is one of the residents of Rust who doesn't believe his original horror stories.
- Exactly.- the witch puts the basket on the counter.- I think so. She starts taking it out of the basket so Malcon can tell her the price. A few conversations are thrown away and Margaret realizes she forgot something- I forgot about Frethiu. Wait a minute.- Margaret goes to the other side of the store where she had a herb counter.
She glanced over and found the flower she was looking for and took a few handfuls into the paper bag. She took one more look to see if she was missing something when she felt a family presence.
She knew what it was but was unwilling to believe the woman's audacity would be so great. She looks to her left side, where she has a glass from a distance of ten feet from where she is and the thin white figure is standing watching her.
The witch turned to face the woman without approaching. The woman with her long red hair gave her a lazy smile and raised her hand, waving a few fingers in a wave form.
Margaret locked her jaw, fearing the worst was to come. Kate Hamilton is never peace.
- Is everything okay?- Malcon put a hand on Margaret's shoulder making the woman take a little fright.-Sorry I didn't want to scare you.
- No. It's okay.- Margaret walked past him and went back to the counter. Putting things back in the basket and taking some bills out of her little bag and leaving them on the counter.
She hurries out of the grocery store and looks around looking for Kate's red eyes. She starts walking towards the forest, always watching for any movement that is suspicious enough for her.
-Solve fasciculos oculis meis- she undid the spell to turn her eyes back to pink.
After a few minutes she finally arrives at her house and locks the door using magic.
- Ut fores aperire et intrare lamia- Margaret sits on the sofa putting her hands on her head in concern. What would she do? she often thought.
- Worry of the wrinkle.- Margaret gets up quickly looking back. The same red-haired woman who watched her at the grocery store was now inside her house less than three feet from her.
"Expiáti ignes," Margaret began.
-Don't do that Mag...- the woman sits in the chair- I came in peace.- She raised her hands in surrender.
- You never come in peace Hamilton. Never.- the witch continued in the same place.- What are you doing in my house?
- I was invited remember?
- No, it was not. Not in this house.- the redhead smiled and crossed her legs leaning her back on the chair.
- But once invited, always invited. You know that better than me.- Kate takes a lock of her hair and starts playing with her.- I thought I would get a warm welcome from an old friend.
- I'm not your friend.- the witch now went to the vampire.- Get out of my house.
- It hurts you know? - the vampire fills me quickly and stops across the room - It's funny you say that I'm not your friend, but when your spell wasn't enough to save herself - Kate was now in front of the witch .- I was your witch friend.
Margaret is silent, deep down she feels bad for having asked Kate for a favor this size one day.
- That was 150 years ago.
- But you still owe me a favor. And I came to collect.- Kate walks away from the witch and lies down on her sofa- There's something big coming here and I need your help.
- Kill me but I won't help you.- the witch goes to the kitchen with her basket and starts taking things out.
- I'll not kill you. It will still be useful to me in some way.- Kate gets up from the couch and puts her hand on the doorknob, taking it out right after due to the burn she made on her hand.- That wasn't nice.
Without waiting, the witch throws an arrow at Kate that hits her in the stomach. In a quick movement Kate reaches thee Margaret and holds her neck lifting her.
-Undo the spell.- With the other hand she takes the arrow from her belly and hits the witch in the same place.
- Undo... - said the witch with difficulty.
- Thank you- Kate smiles fake and leaves Margaret who falls to her knees on the floor coughing. - Don't be more receptive.- Kate takes a cloth in and wipes her hand that was with blood.
- Bloody vampire. - says Margaret still sitting on the floor. Kate throws the cloth on the table and goes over to Margaret crouching down face to face with the witch.
- I should have killed you when you saddled me out of town 100 years ago. - Kate smiled - When I believed in you and you were such a bitch to me.
- I did what I had to.
- I imagine - Kate gets up and turns her back to the witch - You know where to find me when you know what's coming. - Then like a figure Kate disappears from the house.
Margaret gets up from the ground and touches her cord asking her ancestors to somehow help her in the face of this wave of death she is predicting.
She needs to stop Kate.
She needs to join the enemy.
