Chapter four: Axel, the dark horse.

Damian recognized that growling- teasing voice anywhere. He removed his arms from her waist and turned around to see Axel standing with his hands tucked in his pockets.

" what are you doing here? This is my private arena " Damian said sternly as Cindy looked at him with those deadly eyes.

Damian asked again but he ignored him.

"I just wanted to check on you about what's happening tomorrow " he said sitting on the couch comfortable. " what's happening tomorrow? " Cindy asked curiously.

She doesn't know.....

"All you seem to worry about is your sexual needs and not your work bro " Axel said teasingly. Damian walked to where he was sitting and dragged him away.

Cindy managed to compose herself after that humiliating scene. was Damian hiding something from her? was it so serious that an asshole came barging in?

After she was done with the dishes, she saw Axel coming out walking rather elegantly.

He was smirking and sat on the couch without saying a word, which was that thank you Cindy expected.

She broke the dead silence.

"ahem... aren't you ashamed of yourself, barging into someone's house and a man like you sure has a surprising enormous ego " Cindy said as she crossed her arms around her boobs.

" Why don't you keep quiet for once? And it seems you are not close to your so called boyfriend " He raised his arms in the air.

"Just to let you know. They are electing a new CEO for the wright company and your boyfriend and I are in the position, the person with the highest vote wins since you look uneducated " Axel smirked.

Cindy couldn't put everything together, but seriously!! was he really competing for Presidency of the company with this fool? he hasn't told her.

Some minutes later, Damian came out and handed over a file to Axel which shook Cindy to life . Axel stood up to leave and blinked his eye to Cindy and she scoffed.

Axel left the room.

Cindy frowned and when Damian was coming towards her with a dirty smirk she ran upstairs.

"what a pussy!! " He whispered.

Damian followed her upstairs, entered their room and saw her glaring at him.

" What's the matter? I know Axel did the wrong thing but it's just Soo frustrating. I've held..."

stop!!! Cindy interrupted.

" You really think I'm angry about that? well since you asked for it , someone told me you are having an election in the company tomorrow. How could you ? You absolutely don't trust me " She said with bulging eyes.

" what? who told ... He inhaled a deep breath. Axel !! "

" Yeah and certainly from that dick . why not from you? don't you trust me . I understand it has just been few months we started dating but communication is the sole key in a relationship " Cindy screamed.

He walked over to her and hugged her. " I'm so sorry"

" I just didn't wanted to bother you. I know I should have at least hinted you about it but I wasn't confident enough " He whispered softly in her ear.

"Damian, you are the CEO of the wright company. You need not to be afraid!! " Cindy said trying to boost his confidence level.

" Thank you babe. I love you "

" I love you too.

7 AM IN THE MORNING

Cindy was helping Damian fixed his tie as it was the day in which his fate would be decided by election and mostly speeches.

she turned him to see his handsome self in the mirror. it's your day babe. My handsome CEO.

" You know, you can't actually lose to that dick-wad " Cindy said aggressively.

" You know he's actually my best friend " Damian raised an eyebrow.

They went out on an empty stomach and got ready for the day.

WRIGHT COMPANY

The couple got there as early as 7: 30 AM.

she looked at the company and remembered when she would look pass it and say ' I want a house like that' . she was so childish.

They went inside and sure there were well dressed people , both men and women.

Suddenly, they stopped and Damian greeted a man who was well dressed and young .

" is she your wife? " He asked.

"No sir ,not yet legally married but soon to be wife " Damian replied holding Cindy hands in his.

" Hmmm. very responsible of you " The man nodded and Damian smiled.

Cindy reached where her status could help her to stop . I'll be back. wish me luck.

Damian kissed her for good luck.

Hours and Hours passed by and still everywhere was silent like a graveyard. She was getting scared. was her boyfriend going to win the spot ?

Later, she heard indistinct chatters coming from the office in which he had gone in earlier. She then saw people coming out from the office, but something was wrong why were they congratulating Axel instead of Damian.

" Maybe they are feeling sorry for him" Cindy thought and smiled.

But she saw Damian come out with a gloomy face. She went to embrace him but the hug was soo cold. she knew something was wrong.

" You didn't win. did you ? " Cindy asked and he nodded no.

She took a deep breath.

" is this a dream or what , it is absolutely not okay. I'm sure that punk cheated by brainwashing them or using...yes... black magic " Cindy said.

" Lucinda he's not using black magic. He's my best friend, we just have to accept it like that but I'm still his vice " Damian said with innocence in his eyes.

Why did he call me by my real name.

" He's really not that smart " she thought.

Let's just go home. I'm tired.

Cindy nodded and they entered the car with gloomy faces feeling disappointed.

They reached home and it was hitting Damian hard as a wrecking ball. He was shattered but life goes on.

They went upstairs and Damian fell on the bed taking deep breath minute by minute.

" Can I have this room for myself? " He asked and Cindy respected his decision.

" ok. I'll be downstairs if you need anything huh " she said with pity.

Cindy went downstairs shattered and angry at the same time, she knew there was something up in Axel sleeve.

" I know absolutely what to do. Axel you no-good cheater " She sneered.

THE WALL'S HOUSE

Mr wall had been calling Cindy several times but no answer. He was worried.

" Dad, you don't have to be worried. she's probably with her boyfrien...d " Ariel covered her mouth, she knew she had just spilled the beans.

" What do you mean by boyyyy... friend" Mrs wall said coming out of the blue.

It was a dead end for Ariel.

" Dad, it's a slip.... of t..ongue" Ariel stuttered.

" Saying boyfriend can't be a sleeep of tongue, spill the beans " Mr wall reprimanded.

Ariel was being pressurized in ratting Cindy out. if she says it now, she would totally kill her when she comes back from wherever she is.

" Ariel Nima Wall ... We are your parents and we gave birth to you and your sister, she's our daughter, is there something she's not telling you that you know " Mrs wall screamed.

Ariel knew it was either she faced hell with her parents as leaders or her sister as the leader.

" promise you won't overreact " she pleaded.

" Sure , my daughter we raised you , we are also human beings " Mr and Mrs wall chorused like they practiced.

" Cindy has a boyfriend, his name is Damian he's a millionaire " Ariel said and Mrs wall shouted immediately.

" She didn't tell that, is that why she comes home at 12 am in the midnight, I didn't know " Mr wall said.

" How long have she been keeping this from us? How long have this being going?

" About four months " Ariel exaggerated mainly because she didn't know and also didn't want to receive a slap from her mother.

" And you didn't tell us"

" I'm calling her right now, she must come "

" I'm fucking dead today, three Satans in charge , oh darn it " Ariel cursed.

Cindy had earlier left the house to confront the so called winner.

She went back to the company and barged inside like an invited guest which she wasn't invited.

She saw a lady and politely asked where the CEO office was .

"it's the front office on the last floor " she said.

Cindy went there and opened the door and she saw Axel smoking resting his legs on the desk.

"is this why you wanted to become a CEO , to smoke your lungs out. you do know smokers are liable to die young" She screamed angrily.

He raised his head and scoffed.

" I'm not young but old and who the fuck let you in? That person is getting fired today cause you know why? I'm the CEO baby " She said while smoke came out of his nose.

" I'm here to expose your black magic, you use black magic " she shouted.

" it's none of your business and besides your boyfriend still talked to me over the phone few minutes ago so if he doesn't give a damn why would you ? " He asked .

" I'm here to expose you. He's not that smart but I am . I'm not intimidated by you I....j

" Will you shut up? I get irritated everytime you open you stupid mouth to talk. I don't fucking have your time ."

" Lucinda Kate Wall!! " A voice screamed which sent chill to her body.
