Chapter five: in a bed with....

"Babe "

Cindy turned around to see her best friend in a formal dress. They had been separated ten years ago after a major clash between the two families. She was so surprised with the new style.

" oh my gosh !!"

They pulled themselves for a warm embrace.

" it has been ten damn fucking years, I miss you ,Amber " Cindy said.

They disentangled from the embrace and stared at each other for some minutes and begin to laugh.

" what's the occasion? why are you in a formal dress? " Cindy asked curiously knowing the fact that Amber is a bad ass, wearing nude clothes, sneaking out for parties.

" Why ask that question? Life goes on and I'm a grown up now , I'm moving higher " Amber said laughing.

Cindy asked why she was here and apparently, she is working here as Axel's new personal assistant. She couldn't believe Amber was working as a personal assistant for that punk.

"so what brings you here, I don't see your appointment with him " Amber said teasingly.

" huh?"

" Don't you worry!! I know you are getting married to his friend, Damian Wayne so literally you can come here anytime " She laughed and Cindy nodded in agreement.

" But spill it what brings you here ? "

" I came here to ...... discuss the....

" Party " Amber interrupted. " yeah "

Cindy knew she could pull up with his act because her best friend is a hardcore compere.

"yeah about the party with Mr Axel, isn't that ...."

By the time Cindy turned around to ask him, he was gone.

" what? But he was just heere right now !! " Cindy said rubbing her temples.

" Maybe he's just shy to talk about it " Cindy proposed and Amber scoffed.

" so why don't you give me your phone number and I'll text my address for us to meet up " Cindy asked and she agreed but before she left they had another round of hug-a-thon together.

THE WALL'S HOME

Unlike other any winter to enjoy the cold afternoon, the house was like a pot put in the layers of fire to cook.

" When is she going to get home? "

Suddenly, the door creaked and it was the long gone goddess, Cindy. She had returned from Damian's house after crucial hours of talks and pain.

She put her key in her bag. " just to tiptoe" . she raised her head up and immediately she saw the family glaring at her.

" What's up? what's popping family ? " She said playfully out of fear and anxiety.

" Cindy, where were you? Are you insane ? " Mrs Wall screamed and tried to drag her to her father but she flinched her arm.

" Say sorry to your father!! I don't need that sorry because it's my fault, my fault that I brought you to this world " Mrs Wall said and immediately Cindy felt a sharp pain in her chest.

"say it!!! Have your tongue gone numb ? " she screamed but Cindy bowed her head in shame.

" say...

" mom, stop it. I've had enough of this already, I'm not a baby, I'm 21 for Christ sake . it's really my fault for staying under this time, people of my age have built houses or would have them built by their boyfriend but I can't have a boyfriend right " Cindy said with tears filled eyes.

Ariel gasped. Mr Rees stood up from the couch and broke his silence in the matter.

" I thought you were my daughter. Living this kind of life, I don't even see a bly of me about you . I'm disappointed in you " hee said calmly and went upstairs.

Cindy whimpered quietly and ran upstairs to her room.

She flung herself on the bed and cried her eyes out.

"I'm not a baby, I can take decisions on my own" Cindy cried.

" Cindy down!!!!"

THE NEXT DAY

THE WALL'S HOME.

Cindy had gotten prepared for the party to celebrate Axel's win she was going along with Damian in her casual dress because she didn't want her family to suspect a thing. Soon she was going to introduce him to the family but her family doesn't seems to like anything about the wrights.

When she was settled, she would take the risk

She went down and saw her dad watching his favorite tv series, ultimate survival, which she'd watch all night long with him.

she went out the door and he didn't say anything to stop her, it was shocking but also benevolent.

AT THE PARTY.

Cindy arrived at the party with Damian and the press were all huddling around them which was pretty much annoying.

They went inside and sure a lot of guest were welcomed. She hasn't seen this much guests in her lifetime. She looked ahead and saw Axel chatting with some girls.

" What a pervert!! " she whispered feeling disgusted.

" you look so beautiful today !!! " Damian complimented her, giving her a kiss.

She blushed.

" Thank you, you don't look less of sexy either " She bit her lip.

" Damian, the managing director of the bonfire company wants to see you " a person said interrupting the romantic moment.

Cindy eyes swirled around and met Axel's eyes, he immediately removed his gaze. she saw it as an opportunity to confront about being a coward.

She went ahead and reached where he was chatting with the girls, tapped his back.

He released a long groan and turned around.

"please excuse me girls!! " He said.

" Why did you run away yesterday? I knew you were a coward the first day I saw you punk " Cindy said putting all her anger on him.

" I don't need your permission to go away from my office!! I'm not a coward , I even did you a favour by making you enjoy your little reunion with my personal Assistant" Axel said with a smirk.

" Rubbish!! you are. fool, a pure fool....

" shut up, I've had enough of you , just keep quiet , I just hate you. I know you are just getting attention from me just the same as Damian, I know your type, I will expose you today, I'd....Make you live a life of hell " Axel Screamed in a way that only two of them could hear.

Cindy let out an uncomfortable smile.

" Cindy, where were you? Let's go and dance" Amber interrupted and pushed her away.

Those words kept ringing in Cindy's ear.

" so what's up? I waited for the address but painfully didn't receive one, are you ok? "

" yeah, I'm ok "

" i was busy sorry let's just dance" Cindy insisted even when she never wanted to, Amber agreed going with the flow.

After an hour of dancing, drinks were brought to them and they drank and drank. Cindy drank orange juice while Amber drank alcohol.

After few minutes, Cindy felt a sharp pain in her head and was feeling dizzy.

she stopped dancing and managed to sit on a chair. she was totally seeing three Amber.

" What did I drink ? "

It was 7am and was the normal time for waking up for her movie shoot.

She smelled the fragrance of the bed and it was marvelous, her bed usually smells like dead rat and this wasn't Damian's bed either.

She turned around and felt heavy breath around her neck. she thought it was the wind but every minute it got louder and louder until she heard the straw that broke the camel's back.

A SNORE.

She sprung up immediately to see who was beside her and it was .....
