Frederick holds a dramatic look at his father. Father went quiet.

"Hrrnnggh!!"

He got emotional and ran outside.

Father came after him.

Frederick was so enraged that he angrily hit a Vase on the floor.

Father dashed after him, "son! Please listen to me" he says to a hurtful Fredrick who turned and shouted, "why do this to me father?"

Father was so sad with the whole situation that he begged his son for forgiveness, "please, I am sorry son, it was the only way to save you from getting hurt". He shouted.

Fedrick vents out in return, "save me from what? That because of your advice mom died, it's all your fault". They both dashed into the living room.

Father tries to make his son understand the dilemma that happened that very day, rather Frederick refused to give notoriety to his father's words.

"Son! Please listen to me" he tries to touch him.

"What the hell do you wish to tell me, dad, I have heard it all" Fredrick's ill-mannered behavior broke him into a million pieces, "I know I lied to you and I shouldn't have but can't you see, history is about repeating itself". He falls his eyes to Rina who quietly looks away.

Once again Fredrick takes her away from his father's gaze and said to him, "history, What history? Although we did the same thing, Sophia here, brought this on herself. He shoots me the exact look on his countenance, " I did?" I walked close, " I'm I the one who went outside our matrimony home to have a mistress and not any other woman, but a person I called my best friend, so don't blame me for your inability to keep your raging hormones in check".

I rolled my eyes at him.

Frederick gets upset. he tries to get a hold of me, but father cuts in and takes me away.

"Can we please calm down, it's getting intense here". He intends to ease us both.

However, Rina decides to join in.

Her tone of voice immediately irritated not only me but my father, he gave her a harsh warning.

"Did your parents ever tell you not to interfere with something that doesn't concern you, so I let this be a warning, don't you ever think of interfering with the likes of my family".

He said.

She immediately shut her mouth and watched like a stranger she was.

Rina quietly glued her ass to the chair without making a noise.

The gloomy look on her face got Fredrick angry, he walks closer to console her, I felt the utmost disgust seeing the man I love, hug someone else, right in front of me.

"Father, I believe it's high time I tell you both it truth before the news escalates," he breaks the silence, "I want you to know that Rina here, is carrying my child, my first seed!! I am finally going to become a father and you a grandfather".

(Thunderstorm goes off without warning).

I depleted to the floor the second I saw Fredrick hold unto Rina like she was his prized possession, the news scattered me within,  Did I just lose my husband to someone else? I asked myself, holding a hand on my head.

Father walks up to me, "get up" he commands, but I was so hurt by the news, I believe staying on the ground is what I deserve.

But after seeing my disapproval, he angrily dragged me up and took me over to my room.

"What the hell is wrong with you! Can you please act as if nothing happened and trust me, I'll handle Rina"

He promised

I paid no attention to his words because all I  could think of was the shocking news laid down by my very own husband, indeed Fredrick has hurt me so bad.

My mind ran through the same issue over and over again, to a point I fainted out of exhaustion.

"Sophia! My child"

Father ran over and carried me to the bed, he calls out to Fedrick who ran in and dropped a startled look on seeing me in such a state.

"Father what happened?" He responds with a question.

"Are you asking me that? Did you think after your shocking news, your wife would be fine? Please call the doctor,"

Father ordered.

An hour later, Fedrick walks in with the doctor, he examined me and after a while, turns to the family, "she going to be fine, your daughter is under a lot of stress, so please don't let anything get her worked up".

He says.

A cloud of relief covered, father thanked the doctor and asked Fedrick to walk him to the door, the second their footstep faded away, he turns to Rina, "so tell me the truth!! Who are you and what do you want with my son?.

"Huh!! I don't understand sir, I don't want anything, I do love your son" Rina ran a depressing look on her face and became all teary-eyed.

Abruptly she thought playing the victim will soak a little sympathy from him rather he pulls her forcefully and ordered for the truth.

"Now tell me the truth! Who are you and what do you want with my son, you better be careful not to lie to me" father strongly eyes her.

A hot-blooded feeling plunges out and she retaliates by dragging him off in a pissed off demeanor, they ran their eyes on each other before she proceeds with her words, "Okay old man, I know playing the victim won't be of any effect on you, it's best should say the truth".

Rina seats on a chair like she owns the house, "how about I tell you a story!! It's about a woman, who was beautiful, tall and had some much dreams to achieve, but unfortunately, she fell in love with her best friend's husband, who in return fell in love with her, they both had affair and now when the wife found out, it brought a lot of controversies between them".
