Dinner date

Lisa and Carl Black went to the parking area at around 7 pm as per promise.

Carl Black looked at Lisa and said "You go with Dr Valentine. I'll follow you."

She panicked and asked "Are you not going with me? I don't want to go with him alone."

He placed his hands on her both shoulders, looked tenderly at her and said "Don't worry. I'll be there... Now listen carefully, you wait here and I'll wait inside my car. If you feel anything wrong just call me, OK."

"OK."

Lisa reluctantly agreed with him. She was not able to understand what he was trying to do. She thought he will go with her but who knew why he was behaving like this. She felt a little annoyed.

Carl Black was not aware of the intention of Dr. Valentine, so he wanted to know it clearly. If he went with them together he would never find out the motive of Dr. Valentine so he decided to follow them from afar.

Lisa didn't need to wait longer. She saw Dr. Valentine, coming towards her pasting his usual grin on his face.

He came closer to her and said "You are punctual. I am very happy. Come on let's go."

He then placed his hand around her waist, pulled her closer to him and almost dragged her towards his car. Then he ushered her inside the car.

Lisa was stunned by this sudden action and couldn't react at all. She was just flowing away with the situation unable to resist. She was panicking in her heart and she messaged immediately once she was inside the car to Carl Black 'Mr. Black what should I do?'

'Don't panic. Behave normally.'

After receiving Carl Black's message she calmed down a little and pasted a fake smile on her face.

Dr. Valentine drove the car from the hospital. With a grin, he glanced at her and said "I am very happy that you come with me. Let me treat you well today."

She only smiled awkwardly in response and looked outside. She was feeling very uncomfortable.

After few moments of silence, she heard him to say "You don't like to talk much, do you?"

"Huh?"

Dr. Valentine chuckled and said "You are very quiet. Say something. Otherwise, the journey will be bored."

"Um... I wonder why do you want to treat me dinner. We hardly know each other."

He laughed loudly and said "That's the reason I want to treat you dinner. I want to know you more. Let's say it as a dinner date."

"Dinner date?"

Lisa was dumbfounded and looked straight at him. She was regretting coming with this man and also got very angry thinking that how easily she was tricked.

"What? Why are you so shocked?"

"You told me that you will discuss my father's case in detail."

He chuckled and said glancing at her "If you have any doubt just ask me. I'll tell you in detail."

Lisa was too lazy to continue the conversation so she kept quiet. She was glancing from time to time at the rearview mirror to see whether Carl Black's car was following them or not. She was feeling suffocated.

After few moments she asked him "How long have to go more?"

"We will be there in another five minutes."

As said, after five minutes they reached in a high-end restaurant. When they were about to enter the restaurant Lisa's phone started ringing. She took out her phone from her bag only to see Carl Black's number flashing on the screen.

She told Dr. Valentine "I have to take the call. You go first."

"OK, but don't be late."

"Yeah."

Once he entered the restaurant she answered the phone hurriedly "Hello Mr. Black, where are you?"

"Don't panic, I can see you."

She looked around but she couldn't find him. Then she heard his cold sexy voice from the other end of the phone "Go inside and don't agree to go to the private chamber. Don't disconnect the call."

"OK."

She went inside the restaurant and found Dr. Valentine in front of the reception area.

When he saw her, he came towards her with long strides and said happily "I have booked a private room. Let's go."

"Um... wait... I- I don't feel good in a private room. I mean... I am claustrophobic."

Dr. Valentine frowned and his expression turned ugly for a moment but he quickly concealed it with a smile and said "No problem. Then we will sit there at the corner table. You go there, I'll come once I arrange."

She turned around and went to the corner table. She put the phone on her ear and asked "Mr. Black, are you there?"

"Yes."

"Where are you?"

"Lisa...."

"Um.....OK fine."

She pouted in frustration and put down the phone after saying that.

Carl Black was sitting in another corner of the restaurant from where he could clearly see them and was smiling to see her behavior.

Very soon Dr. Valentine came there and they both sat down opposite to each other.

He looked at her and asked "So, what do you do Lisa?"

"I am a drawing instructor in a school."

"Oh, nice. I like drawing too. In fact, my hobby is to collect beautiful paintings."

Lisa cocked her head in surprise and asked "Is that so?"

"Yeah. Visit my home someday. I'll saw you my collections."

"Dr. Valentine I...."

She was interrupted by him "I told you to call me Liam."

She frowned slightly, fixed her gaze at him and said "OK Liam, tell me honestly, why do you invite me for dinner?"

"I told you I want to know you more."

"But, why do you want to know me more?"

Dr. Valentine chuckled and sneered "Don't you know why a handsome man wants to know more about a beautiful girl like you?"

Lisa only stared at him with a stupefied expression. She was thinking 'this man is not easy.'

By the time waiter came to take the order and they ordered the food without delay.

He then continued speaking again "I like you. When I saw you the first time, I wanted to know you more. I wanted to be a friend with you. I am a successful heart surgeon and I am the only son of my parents. My parents live in the capital city and own a hospital there. I am working in Bill Roth temporarily. Now if you want to know anything else you can ask me."

Lisa was more stupefied to hear this and couldn't help but ask "Why are you telling me all these things? I am not interested to know you."

He put his hand on the left side of his chest and sighed dramatically. He said pasting a fake sadness on his face "You broke my heart. Don't be so heartless. Give me a chance to come close to you."

She got angry at this time and said "Enough. You know I have finance, so don't try this to me. It's not going to work."

Dr. Valentine chuckled and said "So what? You are not married yet. I can still pursue you. There is still my chance."

Lisa was so angry that she was about to explode. 'Shameless' she said in her mind. She closed her eyes for few moments to calm down.

Suddenly she felt her hands were grabbed by big warm hands and she opened her eyes only to meet Dr. Valentine's piercing gaze and he was holding her hand.

She heard him to say shamelessly "Lisa give me a chance. I promise I'll not let you down."

"Lisa..... You are here. Hello, Dr. Valentine."

She heard suddenly the familiar cold sexy voice from the top of her head. She quickly pulled back her hands.

A wide smile appeared on her face seeing her savior and said "Mr. Black...."

Carl Black smiled back at her and said "Hmm...."

Dr. Valentine frowned to see Carl Black and asked "Mr. Black, are you alone, or are you with someone else?"

"Why can't I come alone to have dinner here?"

"No, I didn't mean that."

Carl Black sat down beside Lisa, looked directly at Dr. Valentine and said indifferently "Lisa told me that you have invited her for dinner to discuss father in law's case. So please tell us about that."

Dr. Valentine stared at Carl Black for few moments as if he wanted to read his mind and said "I already told her. You can ask her later."

After few moments of silence, he looked up at Carl Black and asked "How do you know that we are here?"

Carl Black chuckled and said "I called her."

Dr. Valentine furrowed his brows remembering the phone call that she received when they entered the restaurant.

Very soon the food was served. Lisa shared her food with Carl Black. Suddenly Carl Black looked at her lovingly, tugged a strand of hairs to her ears which was falling on her face and said "You are looking so beautiful."

Lisa's face turned red immediately and lowered her head in embarrassment.

Dr. Valentine got annoyed to see this and couldn't help but say "I am full."

Carl Black looked at her and asked "Do you want to have anything else?"

"No."

"I'll pay the bill. Dr. Valentine, thank you so much for your concern about my father in law. You are a very generous doctor."

Dr. Valentine was really annoyed by Carl Black tonight but he couldn't do much, so he only nodded with half-smile. After waving them he left hurriedly.
